This thing is awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model is well worth the $3xx price tag. As comparable to other brands in the same range, the user interface is superb. Also, the range and speed, even with many devices simultaneously connected is fantastic

Outstanding Performer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the time I opened the box, it was apparent that something was different with this unit. Compared to the dimensions of a typical WiFi router, this thing is a beast. It soon became apparent why -- there is an awful lot of horsepower under the hood. The 8 antennas that jut out from the sides of this unit seem to state that it means business. Upon setting up this WiFi router the performance was immediately obvious on my personal Macbook and my work laptop. I did a double-take when seeing how much faster the web pages painted on the screen that with the previous router. The web pages now 'pop' versus 'paint' on the screen. The next thing that I tested was placing VoIP calls over my work laptop (like I do every day since I work from home). I previously had to use a direct LAN connection on my laptop to avoid 'voice chop' (poor voice quality) that I otherwise experienced when using a WiFi connection with all of my previous WiFi routers. With this Linksys WiFi router I am now able to use a WiFi connection on my laptop and have voice over WiFi conversations without any issue. Voice over WiFi calls now work flawlessly. I then tested Netflix 4K content streaming via WiFi on our home satellite box. That too went flawlessly. We next did a 'family test' with 3 laptops, 2 tablets, 1 Xbox, 3 smartphones, and 1 satellite box all streaming video at the same time -- all while I browsed the Internet, did a screen share, and spoke with a colleague via Skype for Business. All at once! Not one hiccup! The initial setup was quite easy, following the basic instructions to connect to a web interface on the WiFi router. The screens are easy to navigate and the settings are intuitive. I hadn't realized that I can plug external hard drives onto the router -- to be accessible to other devices as network storage. I'm looking forward to setting that up. In all I am extremely impressed. I never thought a WiFi router could make such a difference in performance on one WiFi-connected device, much less an entire household of devices. This unit is an outstanding performer...

Supafast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a beast of a router supafast wifi signal through out the whole house it looks very nice and runs nice and cool. I have 5 devices connected by wifi 5ghz band getting 130-140gbps down not sure on upload but it's not that great due to my provider it's like 30gbps. I have it paired to the Linksys AC600 USB adapter which I highly recommend if you need a better wireless network card. I have my main PC for gaming hooked up to the router directly and I'm not getting any slow downs,or drop signals.

This router is a BEAST
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was easy to set up and is a performance monster. If you currently own a router set up is painless. It comes with a quick guide to help with set up and it is easy to follow. Even if this happens to be your first router there are no tricks to setting it up. Just follow the guide. The online utility is great and has tons of options. Parental control is awesome. You can control the amount of time your kids spend online or block specific websites if you so choose. I've owned several routers and the Linksys online utility has been the best for me so far, Media prioritization is excellent too. You can select a device you want to give priority too to insure the best speeds and stability. The coverage is excellent. Which is what we expect out of a high end router in 2016. Remember that the 2.4 gigahertz band is for longer range connection at good speeds. The 5 ghz band is for shorter range connections at face melting speeds. I get 80 mbps down on the 2.4 ghz band and 180 mbps down on the 5ghz. Now for the cons: The foot print of the router is larger than I expected but not that big of a deal. Price may be a bit high for a router. However, you won't need to buy one for a long time if you happen to pick up this router. Other than that I can't really think of any relevant negatives. I'm sure someone with more technical expertise can find other issues with it but I have been very very pleased with this router.

Fantastic!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router because we had outgrown our old one. We had soooo much lag with our old one that playing online on a gaming console while someone else was streaming You Tube was very difficult. We have 4 teenagers and over a dozen devices and haven't had a single problem since. It's a bit pricey, but so worth it to not hear anymore whining! Plus, now our signal reaches everywhere in the house which was a previous issue before. I highly recommend it!

Linksys AC5400 router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We do a lot of streaming with multiple devices plus general internet access and was in the need of a better router. After a couple of weeks now of using this router we have had no problems with service. In the past we have gone thru several routers due to the high volume of use. We generally go thru a router every year. The price seemed a bit high at first but with the 3 years of Tech service and warranty that comes with the router gave us the turning edge to with this unit. Now we have one that should last at least 3 years
