Off and On
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this as a replacement for the Linksys Velop 3-node system I previously purchased and had to return because it was sub par. My experience with the EA9500 has not been overly impressive either. It's been up and down. I have a 1Gb AT&T Internet service and was getting averagely 250-300Mbps over ethernet connection with the AT&T provided modem-router combo. After several research and speaking to BB reps, was advised to buy a high end router from Linksys as it can potentially handle 4k streaming without a hitch and get me the full speed/service from my modem that I am paying for . First few days, max I was getting was 250mbs down. After speaking with Linksys, was advised that I needed to contact AT&T to replace my router since Linkysys and any other router cannot transmit beyond what the modem supplies, which in this case was valid. Anyway, after getting a new modem from AT&T, I was now getting 900+ download directly from the new AT&T modem-router combo without connecting the Linksys EA-9500. To my surprise, after hooking up the EA-9500, the speed went down to about 380mbps, and had to spend several hours with Linksys support again to get the speed to 900mps. That unfortunately didn't last more than a week before speed went back to below 250mpbs. Issue was escalated to Linksys Tier 3 support and after more than an hour troubleshooting, I am back at 900mps. I will be paying close attention to this over the next few days and if speed go down again, definitely returning to BB for a refund or new brand such as nether Nighthawk x10 router.

Great Signal Coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my new Linksys EA9500 AC5400 Tri-Band router for a little over a month. I have been a LinkSys customer for 10-years and have never been disappointed with their technology each time it hit the market. This new Router is no exception and I am impressed. Previously I have had range extenders in the house and the garage to ensure I had a signal where ever I roamed.... I live in a 3k square foot multilevel house and was aprehensive to remove the range exenders, however they were several years old and would not take advantage of the new router. I was very impressed, my signal strength throughout the house and garage is outstanding. The router is simple to setup using the LINKSYS Smart Wifi web setup and or the LINKSYS Smart WiFi Android App. I am now taking advantage of the Tri-Band Technology and love having 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz1, and 5 GHz2 bands. It also employs another new feature called Smart Connect with 5 GHz band steering. This new feature allows the router to automatically switch between the two 5 GHz bands based on signal quality and it works great with flawless switching. The EA9500 is an amazing new system, I have not tapped into the full potential of steaming video, music, and 4K TV, however I am looking forward to experiencing these enhanced features. I highly recommend the new EA9500 AC5400 Tri-Band Router.

Powerful, Fast Router, Loaded with Features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The previous router I used was the Belkin AC 1200 DB Wi-Fi Dual-Band AC+ Gigabit Router that retails for $75-$100. Pros: 1. Faster speeds - With my old Belkin router, my speeds were 13.9 Mbps down and 1.0 Mbps up. With this Linksys router, my speeds are now 17.5 Mbps down and 1.2 Mbps up. A significant upgrade. 2. Increased coverage - With my old Belkin router, I did not have good coverage in the basement of my house that is completely underground. I had to use a wi-fi extender to increase range and speed in the basement. With this Linksys router, I do not need the wi-fi extender in the basement. I get full coverage and consistent speeds in all areas of my house. 3. Easy set-up - Setting up the Linksys router from unboxing to connected status took less than 15 minutes. The instructions are straightforward. The router settings and management site has an easy to use interface. You can manage all of the security settings and connected devices on this site. 4. Features - The Linksys router has 8 ethernet ports and 2 USB ports (one 2.0 and one 3.0). The router also has tri-band support (one 2.4 GHz band and two 5 GHz bands). Cons: 1. Size - The Linksys router is much larger and heavier compared to my old Belkin router. The 8 antennas make this Linksys router even more noticeable. My old Belkin router was very sleek and compact, making it easy to move around if needed. 2. Price - This is a premium router and is priced accordingly. Depending on your needs, a cheaper/less powerful router may be sufficient for your needs. You should consider this router if you: 1. Have a large home/office area that has inconsistent speeds/coverage. 2. Have multiple (10+) internet connected devices. 3. Use data-intensive (4K/HD) streaming/gaming/business services, simultaneously with your normal internet connected devices.

Much better than Netgear
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned 2 Netgear Nighthawks before purchasing this router. Neither Nighthawk made it a year before going out completely on me. I switched to Linksys because Linksys gets much better reviews for their customer service, Netgear is the worst. So far, this router is great, I'll update if this one after outlasts either Nighthawk, shouldn't be hard. Setup was super simple and I'm getting almost what I pay for from Cox about all you can ask for in a router.

Absolutely Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item in hopes to expand both my 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz ranges from my ISP provided Modem/Router combo unit. I was not disappointed. This thing works awesome. I tried the whole-home mesh network prior to this, but it didn't suit my needs. This one does the trick very well and you can have multiple named networks as well as guest networks. If in range, I always prefer to connect to the 5Ghz and this allows me to do so.

Works well so far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was installed by the Geek Squad to replace an aging Netgear wifi transmitter. Many obstacles in the house itself--like huge centrally located cement/stone fireplace that will no doubt survive the end of the world! I have a Samsung UHD TV and new Sony "premium" Blu-ray player. Also have a recently purchased laptop and desktop + multiple Roku's throughout the house. Works well for all of these applications. No issues at all so far!

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router has been great since i installed it. My nice netgear was struggling and i finally gave up after spending hours on the phone and bought this Linksys. Best idea I’ve had. Configuration was super simple and i had it going in the matter of minutes. Speeds are posting where they should be and I’m very happy. Only thing i wish it would do is a single SSID and let the router pick 2.4 or 5.

Linksys Ea9500 Router-a good buy after a few issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded my older ASUS router with this recommended router. The first router I brought home would not boot up. Went back and exchanged it. The 2nd unit I brought home worked for about a week and the speed dropped from. 200 MB to 20 MB. I did a full factory reset and still no good. Also my Magic Jack stopped working. I gave this one more chance and exchanged again.... The third time around was a charm. When they work great I highly recommend. Will just hope this holds up. At this point I am satisfied.

Best Tri-Band MI-MUMO AC5400 Router.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first router introduced by Linksys in CES 2016 with MI-MUMO feature. The setup was very easy and internet was up and running less than 5 mins. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and router performance. I switched over from the Netgear R8500. I had some dead spots at my 2800 feet home and this router resolved all the issues. This is one the fastest router in the market delivering 1000mbps in 2.4 Ghz and it has 2 more 5Ghz and deliver upto 4.3Gbps. You can use one SSID for two of 5Ghz bands. This router has many useful features. The most useful are beam forming, tri-band wireless and 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports. This is the first router with MI-MUMO feature which delivers maximum number of connections at the same time. Wi-Fi speeds are really quick and speed tests delivered more than 275mbps on Galaxy Note 5 phone. With wired connection the results are 360mbps download and 35mbps upload. I have listed some of the features from this router • Fastest speeds available up to 5.3Gbps • Tri-band Wi-Fi delivers more Wi-Fi to more devices • Efficient MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology** treats each of your devices as if each has its own dedicated router, ensuring everyone can enjoy Wi-Fi without interruption or buffering. • 8 high performance antennas to amplify and maximize range • 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports • Linksys Smart Wi-Fi to control and monitor devices in home network. It is one of the best and fastest router in the market with many great features. If you are looking for faster internet and longer Wi-Fi range, Please buy this router without any hesitation.
