I was previosuly using a Linksys WRT 1900AC router. It worked well for me, with the exception that the WiFi signal did not consistently reach an iDevices switch connected to a landscape transformer housed in an outdoor metal case. It would only intermittently connect. When I connected the new Linksys EA9500 router, I was still getting intermittent, but better connectivity. I almost took the router back, because I did not think that the marginal improvement was worth the money. Then, I pointed 3 of the router's antennae in the direction of the outdoor box and it began working like a champ. It has not failed to connect since then. BTW, we have Spectrum 100 MPS internet service and pretty consistently get 130 MPS speeds. I am very happy.

This product greatly improved the Wifi coverage in my house and this has allowed me to add additional products such as Wifi surveillance cameras, that could not work previously. I have already recommended this product to a friend.

Best router I've ever purchased. I returned two, that's right I said two netgear x8 routers that were trash and stopped working within 2 days. Switched to this linksys and it hasn't skipped a beat. Best router on the market!

Im very happy with this router very fast and enjoy the 8 high speed ports in the back. The range is not as good as a mesh router so I use an additional extender. I think it’s so to the location I have my router it’s low and underneath my AV equipment.. if I had the router in an open area the wifi would be enough for my entire home. But since I need the 8 ports near my AV equipment, I really don’t have many options. I am looking at purchasing a max stream extander for it to see how good the 2 work together. I’m also thinking about going with a mesh net work for my home but they are not on sale at this time and think I missed out in holiday pricing. If you need a good gaming router or have a big home you will be happy with this router!

I picked this one up to replace my AirPort Extreme. I'm so glad I did. The range is so much better and it has a lot more features than the AirPort Extreme. I would recommend this wireless router to anyone looking for a solid unit.

I'm using this as an access point behind my Ubiquiti router. Really fast but I am waiting for a firmware update to make link aggregation happen. Read somewhere that it's not possible on this router. That would be a shame if it's true as the other 5400 series routers have it.

My three-year-old router was not keeping up with the task of all the extra added devices that were now accessing the network. We eliminated 2 extenders. We probably doubled our data throughput and distance with this device.

This router is great! I have a multi-level house and an office in a poor location for a wifi router. I have wifi signal virtually everywhere in the house! The price is high end but the router is well built and works great.

This router replaced an older Asus and the range is very similar. It only took about 10 minutes to unpack and have my network up. There are more features on this router that I will probably never use but it was on sale and they will be there in the future just in case.

Bought this on impulse and was not disappointed doubled the WiFi coverage without an extender and zero buffering on my smart tv when streaming videos especially 4k content

very happy - performs as described. I have a large house and got full coverage with this [reason why i was upgrading]. Also, wifi is very stable and each device working good - FYI, i have had it for 4-5 weeks now

Pretty happy with this purchase. I get wifi everywhere in my 7000 square foot house whereas other routers I would have dead spots. Only con is almost every house on my street could tap into our network if it isn't secured.

This router covered our 3000+ sq ft house great. Strong connection throughout and the ability to customize access times were perfect to make sure kids weren’t staying on past time. Love it!

We have 300MBps in our home. I easily top 150MBps on my WiFi and 350mbps. This router handles it with no issue at all. Just waiting for Google Fiber to come to our area so I can find out how fast this router can really go.

This is a pricey modem but I feel that it is money well spent. I love that it has QoS. I have over 22 devices connected via wifi and I like being able to prioritize the data hogs. Range is fantastic too.

I had an ASUS router (RT-AC87R)previously and the Linksys EA9500 Max Stream was just as easy if not easier to set up. A lot is done by the router itself. I like the ability to change settings on the fly.
