||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With all of the WiFi vulnerabilities being announced in recent months you would hope that router manufacturers would be on top of releasing updates, but not Linksys. Unboxed the router and checked for firmware updates, I was surprised to see there were none. Did some research and it looks like the most recent update was March 2018. That's insane. I immediately swapped back to my old router and returned it the next day. I know consumer routers have problems with getting timely updates, but 10 months is a bit excessive. UI was also horrible, nothing made sense and it looked like it was categorized by somebody who had never seen a router before. With the price I payed for this router, I expected much better. Exchanged it for the Asus RT-AC3100 and couldn't be happier.

He broke down the differences, and I felt informed and made this decision. I felt that this was a much better product for me. Again, if it had not been for the thorough job of explaining and informing--I would not have bought this.

Boy was this a Upgrade. Sure it’s pricey, but I now have 300MB bandwidth on my Wi-Fi same as my wired. Security is tight and setup was fairly easy. So far for the 2 months I have had this router, I have had absolutely no problems at all..
