This is by far and away the best router I have ever owned. I can connect not only anywhere in my house but anywhere in my yard. The router was already set up with a network name and password which made setup a breeze! Thank you Linksys for an amazing product!

The Linksys AC5400 solved my problem. The speed is reliable and the range allowed me to give away my old extenders. Not to mention the 8 ports it has in the back support computers, TV, wireless Swimming Pool control, as well as my audio system. I am connected!

Great for lots of devices and large houses

I upgraded from a Linksys EA6900 Wireless Router ‑ 2.4/5 GHz to the Linksys EA9500 Max‑Stream because I was having issues with weak signals and slow speeds. The EA6900 was a great router till we moved into a larger house and our wifi demands increased. Comparison: 4000sqft / 25 devices (tablets, computers, tvs, smart home) EA6900 (old router): Max Speed in the same room as the router: 150Mbps Max speed in the farthest room from the router: 46Mbps EA9500 (new router): Max speed in the same room as the router: 490Mbps Max speed in the furthest room from the router: 290Mbps Set up was easy via the Smart Wifi app and I didn't have issues reconnecting my external media. Every device, with the exception of my 2.4Ghz only devices, connected to 5Ghz. I have a strong signal and high speeds standing across the street from my house.

I have a connected home with numerous wifi security cameras, gaming platforms, smart tv's, etc... This router performs outstanding. No connection or speed issues. And with 8 Ethernet ports I can direct connect more devices for better streaming performance.

Great wi-fi coverage across my entire house. All devices show improved connectivity as compared to my old router (was using AT&T wi-fi router). Simple setup, nice smart phone app, and advanced tools for IT guys! Great modem for any level of knowledge.

I was looking for a new wifi router that would give me increased range and speed and this one exceeded all my expectations. Setup was very easy and fast. WiFi signal strength is awesome, with no dead spots where I live. Highly recommend this router.

This thing is really good. I have the router located in my office upstairs and there are no dead spots in my house (2400 sq ft). I am also able to get a strong signal in all parts of my property...front yard, back yard, even the neighbors house!

This router is really fast and very easy to set up. I like the parental controls - can lock specific devices from accessing the internet while allowing others full access. Has been useful in keeping our kids' internet usage to a minimum.

Excellent router, but needs at least a VPN client.

    Posted .

My previous Cisco WRT610N was average, and later in its life, it started to crash repeatedly and connected machines would lose connectivity until the router was rebooted. I finally replaced it with the Linksys EA9500 router. Immediately, I realized a significant network performance boost, even with full WPA2 AES wireless network encryption enabled. The network meters on all of my devices now read full scale 100% signal strength. Not one hiccup yet. I appreciate the router's automatic downloading and application of newly available firmware. Unfortunately, this router has no built in VPN server or client like a similarly priced router does, and I needed VPN for secure remote router access. So I unfortunately had to return it. Despite lacking a VPN client or router, this is a great router and will definitely deliver on its performance promises. If Linksys added VPN features via firmware update, I would definitely have kept it, as it is highly efficient.

Ok router. Not a great UI though. Working ok so fa

This is a decent router with the best feature being the 8 available gigabit ports on the back. The UI needs some work and I can't say the remote access for the files stored on it is great as you can only use ftp to get to them. But it works ok. And ftp is pretty fast on it I've found so not bad overall for speed. I do like the screen with all the devices connected to it but it too needs more information on those devices. It could be better too if they allowed you to edit them and add your own tags and labels yourself. That way generic devices which show up are not as confusing to look at. Overall on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd currently give it a 7.5. With 1 being dead out of the box to 10 being 100% happy with all features and functionality. Steve

Looked at some reviews for good office routers. This one did not disappoint. Easy to set up. Phone app gives me easy access. IT was able to work well with it. We have a whole warehouse to cover...stronger than I thought it would be.

This router is huge, almost too big , it looks impressive with all the antennas & lights but so far I'm not impressed at all. It was very hard to setup, I had to call support & there is no DSL port on the back so I had to keep my old modem/router connected to it which defeats its purpose. There are 2 separate wifi bands to connect to which is nice but I haven't seen any improvement in the speed or connectivity than my small router. Plus it runs very hot! I'll give it a few more days before I disconnect it & go back to my small router.

      Hi 30stmrox,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Is it still safe to touch the device? The router’s operating temperature is 0 to 40°C. Changing channels is one of the best ways to resolve intermittent signal and to optimize your wireless connection. Use the Wi-Fi analyzer app to find a less crowded channel for your wireless router.

This router is for people who have a lot of devices to connect to the internet. With one 2.4 GHz and two 5 GHz channels, you can share the love on bandwith without slowing down. The option to have the router steer your devices to different channels is nice, that way you aren't dragging down connection speeds on any one channel. Would recommend for small businesses.

    Finally!!!!!

First I must say this is like the 4th router/mesh system I have tried in order to increase speed and distance from my WIFI router at home. I did try 2 previous Linksys items and decided to stay with them due to their honesty and customer service. The WiFi router is extremely easy to set-up, I do have Frontier FIOS service. I had to keep the WIFI router/modem connected but with the help of Linksys I was able to turn off WIFI router portion. And that was it, the Linksys router is a smart router and automatically changes the IP address in order to avoid conflict with the Frontier modem. It was more than I wanted to spend but in order to resolve issues now and in the future I went with the bigger router. I have over 40 items connected to the router so far so good!

This router is fast and can handle lots of devices. It covers my entire tri-level home (on the 2.4 channel). I especially enjoy the Linksys Smart Wifi app that provides nearly complete control of the router from virtually anywhere.
