Switched back after an hour; returned the next day
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A complete disaster. Corrupted my NAS and took my gigabit fios connection down to 27mbps upload. Within an hour I was back to my 6 year old 802.11ac router. I returned this the next day. A shame that the performance was so horrible for such an expensive item with, other than the 6E spec, a limited feature set.

Worst router ever!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router over a year ago and it never seemed to work correctly. It would disconnect from 4-6 times a day while we used our devices, wether we were using a Ethernet cable connection or wifi, the router would simply just go offline. I had became a normal thing that i hated deeply. I spent more than a total of 24 hours with the tech department troubleshooting the issue, but it would never get resolved. They would always blame my modem and spectrum as the reason, but honestly it was their device. I took it back to Best Buy since i had purchased the insurance and did some research on on a different router, and boy has the issue been resolved. Totally recommend the Amplifi Alien router to anyone, its been online now for 2 days without any issues, Linksys get you stuff together please!!!!

Absolute garbage, do not buy!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The performance of the router is great when it works. Wireless devices will not remain connected to the router. After three rounds of technical support, the issue remains unresolved. Be aware - there is a special support department for this “advanced technology,” but no dedicated support phone number. You are told that a special team handles this router and they have a 24-48 call back period.

Apple esque approach ruins a good product
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The capabilities of this router are great, but the software and design are extremely lacking. First, the antennas cannot be replaced. This would be acceptable if it provided adequate signaling, but it does not. The 6ghz frequency barely covers my 2 bedroom apartment, and the speeds are barely better than a wifi 5 router on 5ghz. I'll also comment that the speeds on 5ghz are significantly slower. The 4 antennas are small, and having the option to replace them would improve my opinion of the product. Further, the configuration app does not allow for the channels to be manually chosen. This eould be acceptable if the automatic detection worked in any way, but it doesn't. For the 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz frequencies, the router automatically chose the most crowded range it possibly could have. An embarrassingly lacking display in ineptitude for design of this product's software. The only reason the 6ghz does as well as it has is because no other routers operate on that frequency in my area yet. My previous router had replaceable antenna and allowed for configuration of the channels, so this step back can only be an incredibly cheap approach to hardware, or stupid and ignorant software design. I have only seen software or hardware this clearly ignorant to consumer tinkering in apple products in the past, and I'm very disappointed to see it here. If I could return the product, I would.

We appreciate and have taken note of the review you gave our product. Objects such as walls may affect the range and quality of the router's WiFi network. Not worth and beaten by AC routers.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 4yr old AC Linksys out performances this model is signal stability, range and strength. The AXE6600 is fast when it works but given the price, it fails. I wish I saw similar reviews prior to my purchase and I plan to return ASAP. For details: - The AXE drops connection to even high priority connections at random and also does a poor job of managing traffic across our small home with only 11 devices connected.

Terrible at setting up and drops connections
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worse than eero routers. Worst router ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.iOS devices still frequently lose connection, even on latest firmware (released last June). I wanted this to work well and have it 2 months, but it’s the worst router I’ve ever owned and the support experience has been awful. If I could I’d return it.

Solid device. Rogue company
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device is solid. But the company is clearly on the way to be consumer hostile. I wouldn't recommend. The mobile app setup process requires a linksys account (or they hide it so well a 10+ year IT industry person cannot find the way around it). This gives me no benefit at all. Why'd a normal consumer alter their router away from home? This only gives the company access to my most important internet device. Why are they so determined? Clearly they want to monetize it some time. Other small stupidities: 1. There is a commercial link on the web admin page that cannot be moved or removed 2. The admin password has to be 10 long with upper, lower letters numbers and special chars. This is stupidly complex. It provides little protect to the security, only to encourage leaving the password unchanged, making the security worse.

Not worth 499.00
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not meet expectations……Wi-Fi was weak, no options to customize settings such as;(channel/bandwidth)……No type of smart connection, just a plain old basic router w/ 6GHz band….I don’t even have anything that connects to the 6 GHz yet, so basically I purchased a dual band router w/ WI-FI-6 & WPA3 for +500.00. NO! I DON’T THINK SO! Returned after a week of use!

The firmware is a step backwards
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The firmware is a major step backwards. No option to turn off the WiFi. No option to access the external storage other than a computer. It is being returned as soon as I found out the firmware is lacking on important basic features. I will not be using Linksys routers anymore.

never buying linksys again
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy, have had for 6 months and the wifi barely works, 10mbps when i get 850 wired on 1 gbps service... tech support literally was "restart the router, follow the troubleshooting guide on the website" which i did multiple times before calling them... linksys wont admit something is wrong with the wifi part of this router, they are doing everything they can do to avoid replacing it under warranty.

One of the worst networking products!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The range is horrible, the speeds are horrible over WiFi and hardwired, could only ever have about 10 wireless clients before it would knock a random one off to replace it. Setting up the mesh was actually pretty simple, though it just made network stability worse. I would lose connection for about 20+ min on Ethernet devices when the mesh was connected and using Ethernet for backhaul. I returned after 24hrs. I have a rule for products I buy. Setup must be simple, quick, an any sort of a hint of an issue in the first 24hrs or during setup. The product simply gets returned. I don’t troubleshoot, I don’t open support tickets, and I definitely do not provide any sort of diagnostic data to the product developer. Companies need to start handling QA themselves, and need to understand they don’t get to just put a box on the shelf and take money. Save yourself sometime, and be more entertained by not having internet, driving to the ATM, takeout $600 in cash, then put it on your grill and light it on fire. Seriously the worst, do not buy.

Constantly Losing Power - UNSTABLE GARBAGE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BEWARE! This sparkly piece of **** started having issues with maintaining power not 6 months after purchase. If you read other reviews, its a common issue for the router to lose internet connection entirely and power off frequently. Don't let the lower 6E price tag fool you. We checked the outlet, bought a new power cable rated for this, had our ISP do everything possible, and it boils down to hardware failure. First time buying LINKSYS in years, and now i remember why I left. Thank god i got the warranty, wish I had got the shorter year plan, as this one barely lasted 6 months. BEWARE OF LINKSYS - DON'T BUY THEIR ROUTERS.

With great potential, the worst router ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't believe it. I was aware of some limitations with 2.4ghz and 5ghz, but the 6ghz band was supposed to work as good as the other players. Well, what's the point of having a fully capable 6ghz router if you can't manually set the channel bandwidth to 160mhz and then pick your preferred channel? The router only allows me to manually choose up to 80mhz bandwidth on 6ghz, which is extremely bizarre to say at least. How can a $500 router be so extremely limited when it comes to settings? I don't even like many settings but to choose the channel width is something super basic and essential, plus if the router uses 160mhz automatically (but it picks the crappy channel 33), why can I set it up manually? Beyond absurd. Very upset because now I have to return a router that could have been awesome otherwise....

Posted .Hi,
Thank you for letting us know about this. By design, the router will automatically use the 160 Mhz network if there's no interference. Moreover, manually setting it might cause more issues especially when the connection is unstable. Should you wuis to discuss this further, email LinksysCares@linksys.com with the link to your review for reference. Our 2nd Level Team is always ready to lend a hand.

Almost no bang for your bucks!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor performance across the board: drops 2-3 times a day, knocks phones & laptops off the network randomly, signal quality degrades very rapidly with distance... Overall, very poor performance. Absolutely NOT worth $500, not even $200 IMO. Sadly, the $100 3-year old Linksys wireless router it was supposed to replace runs circles around it in signal quality, reach and stability.

Major design flaw causing over heating
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it is functioning, it works as intended. However the firmware uodate proces is broken as it will claim to have the latest when newer firmware is available. Prone to overheating regardless of load when connected to a 5 gigabit connection. When reported to Linksys, they said 80F temps are unusual and to keep a fan on it. This is Texas. Were 80F for most of the year.

One of the primary reasons routers overheat is insufficient ventilation. Place the router in an open area with good airflow, ensuring there's enough space on all sides to facilitate air circulation. Not Worth Your Time & Money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been a Linksys customer for years, but this product sealed the deal of no longer buying their routers. It wouldn’t even go into setup mode. After calling the their help line, they were unable to help. I even called my internet provider and they were unable to discover it on the network. This router don't have DDNS services built-in
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router to replace an old router. I'm thinking since this router is new and with state of the art new features like 6 Hz band and 2.5 gigabits Ethernet port and unbelievable. That for sure it will provide user with a DDNS services. Wrong this router doesn't have that feature available hence the reason for the return. I really wanted to keep it because is loaded with the latest feature but not having DDNS service available was a deal breaker.
