Not a good WiFi extender

The RE7350 extender is designed to extend your coverage to areas where Wi-Fi is almost non-existent. The key here is the proper placement. You can place the extender in between the router and the area that you’d like to cover, but make sure that it still gets optimum connection from the internet source.

If the connection directly from the router is stable, we might need to relocate the extender to an area where it gets an optimum connection. Updating the firmware might also help. As long as the connection behind the main router is stable and getting as least 2-3 signal bars, it should provide a stable connection through our the extended network. Making sure that the extender runs the latest firmware will also do the trick. Before setting it aside, our Escalation Engineers would like to check the unit further and aid in experiencing the best out of this device. I used to occasionally drop signal during video calls but adding this made it happen regularly. I changed all sorts of setting (frequency, channels, ect) but ot kept making internet unstable . Finally just unplugged it and at least things seem to be back to normal. Not dropping signal 3 times during a 30 min video call. I am going to see if i can return this...but it saddens mw because i had sooooo much hope for this to give a stronger and expanded signal in my house/yard.

However, the more you move it away from the source, the weaker the signal. This is good for short spans over doing the Mesh system where your signal strength is not reduced. Mesh is better and covers a wider area than the extender. for the extender for example, I put it in my garage which is half the distance from the router in the house. I also have a POD in the garage as well. When asked to connect, it still shows the original Router over the Extender. it showed both networks, but showed the extender as weaker than the main router.

But I did use it for a while, and when It was in use it was flawless, able to move it from room to room if necessary and it would pick right up. Now nothing.
