This item is completely useless. WPS didnt work for setup so I had to set it up through its own ip address, not a big deal but still frustrating. Item says its a MIMO adapter except it didn't woek even though my main router supports it. Additionally, while the signal was stronger, It was drastically reduced-- I have 400 Mbs download for my ISP and with this extender, I was getting anywhere from 20-30 Mbs.

Waste of Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spent 2 hours trying to set up, both WiFi and via browser. Waste of time. At one point, based on blinking and unblinking lights of two colors it appeated to be connected. Beyond these lights there is no other way of knowing. Regardless, I got no difference in Internet speed in an upstairs bedroom. So that is failure in itself and only reason for purchase. Instructions suggest if that fails, try browser based process. Device connected but no Internet. This showed as an error message. Once I got a pop up screen suggesting I was too close to the router. Of course when I moved no such page ever appeared. Returning because on the browser based set up, the page they suggested I go to didn’t exist as stated but moreso, the model this young man at Best Buy recommended wasn't even listed on the set up starting page - so no where to from there!!!! I have Netgear Nighthawk and perhaps a Netgear extender will set up easier but some reviews there look just as frustrating. Dual bands adds to the complexity. There are comments on skimpy instructions about WPS button on router potentially being disconnect. But then no further ideas about how to find out. All around not good signs. Best Buy hsd a good selection but their young inexperience associates just can't help much. They might suggest setting this up and it working successfully is about as likely winning on a slot machine. Poor instructions Questionable gizmo Poor salesperson knowledge

The Linksys RE7350 should have been easy to set up using WPS or setup wizard. We could have tried to set up the extender with a different computer or mobile device and check if the extender is getting a good signal from the router.
