Easy set-up and quite fast. Have a small house, so the range is not a concern. Best Buy is the place to buy!!!

I had to replace an old wireless router and did not need any bells and whistles. This router was perfect for my needs and was very affordable. I was surprised at the ease of installation and encountered no problems what so ever. There are no coverage issues in my home and the speeds are improved from my previous router.

I needed a router and was looking for a low cost wired version to use with my new Emotiva pre-amp and laptop computer (room correction software). I tried several workarounds before landing on this device. I should have started here and saved a bunch of running around and wasted time. I used a wired connection and not wireles and had my problem solved in moments. I don;t use it for everyday connectivity - but it seems to be a fine value for the price.

Got this on sale due to old one frying out. This one has a easier to use interface and gives me better speeds all the time. No complaints here. connect to a wii, ps3, laptop, ps vita, tablet, smart tv, and a couple mobile phones with no issues

I was replacing an old router....also made by Linksys....took all of 1/2 hour to drive to Best Buy....recycle the old one....drive back.....and install the router. My son and I were only down an hour or so. (Had to figure out what wasn't working!). Love that the new power adapter is smaller and much lighter and the unit is more streamlined. Never had a problem (until now) with a Linksys product. The old one gave us good service for a long time.

I wanted a basic wi-fi router for the wireless devices, mainly tablets. The price was definitely right, and set up was simple. Performance is good for most of the basic browsing and downloading, but we do use an Ethernet connection for playing online games.
Bottom line, does what I wanted it to for a reasonable price.

After my old router died, I wanted to get a replacement quickly without spending a fortune on one. To date I have no real complaints about the router. Once every 10 to 14 days it seems to restart itself, often while I am in the middle of doing something. I suspect this is a firmware issue as my old router didn't do this.

The Linksys E 1200 is a good, basic router. It provides adequate wired connectivity and wireless reception in a small apartment or otherwise limited space. It's a good, affordable choice for anyone with modest needs. Cisco provides easy to use setup software that works on both Macs and Windows PCs. While I'm no networking guru, the built-in software in Cisco routers is easy to access with a web browser (192.168.1.1) if you need to tweak your settings beyond the basics. For instance, in response to a recent, well publicized warning from the Department of Homeland Security, I searched the web interface to find the UPnP setting and disabled it (in the Administration>Management panel).
I use this router to transmit from my home office, where my HDSL modem is located, to the living room in the same apartment. This serves for use with laptop computers and my internet enabled TV for streaming Netflix.
The only issue I have with this router (and others in the same line) is that the indicator lights are in the back, making it more difficult to troubleshoot. If you never have a connection problem, this won't be a concern. If you do, this concession to aesthetics is a poor design choice.
If you want the fastest ethernet or more robust wireless service, there are other Cisco routers that can meet these needs. Of course, they cost more, too.

This router is exactly what I needed for my apartment, works great. Took a star off because I had a little difficulty setting it up, had to download the software from the internet instead of the CD that came with it (CD said it couldn't run with my OS). After that, it was incredibly easy to do though.

This is a fine router and provides coverage for my entire home and backyard. Store clerk tried to sell me the next model up (twice the price) as "this model would not provide proper coverage for all 3 levels of your home (incl basement) and your yard", but I stuck to my initial thoughts to purchase this model. A good decision!!! Add to it the ease of installation and configuration - I would definitely buy this unit again when needed - hopefully in about 10 years!!!
