I was a little nervous buying a 3 part system, but it works great. It covers both floors of the house. My son is able to play his game systems in the far corner of the his room which was not covered with our old system.

Very straightforward to setup. Walks you through to make sure nodes are close enough to provide good connectivity throughout home. Easy app-driven process to ensure that devices that need maximum access to the internet (gaming, etc) are placed in hierarchy to meet demand.

Our old Wifi was outdated so I went to Best Buy and was recommended the Linksys Velop Ti-Band Mesh WiFi System which would provide 3 nodes to provide WiFi service to our large 3500 SF home. It works great and we now have a strong signal in all rooms of our home.

Up what this because it looks and I was told that it would get the Job done because to you state you have so many things and the kids that need Wi-Fi and then I'm tired of hearing them complain about their games lagging Now what made me mad is that this box should put in the front no ethernet ports My old linksys had 5 Now this new one only has 1 extra at the you put the Internet in And what they have to Realize that everything is not Wi-Fi I have my Philips hue hub That needs to be connected straight to the Modem Plus other things so then I had to go by ethernet splitter and hoped it worked Because technical support for my philips hue lights set that it will not work in secondary connections it needs to be connected straight to the source so hopefully I can get everything Connected especially how expensive and how much money I spent on this and they should have stated it on the Box so people would know.

This easily covers two floors without drop outs or slowness anywhere easily streams HD content. If I had to complain about anything it would be setup, but it was time consuming more than difficult. Make sure you update the firmware.

I struggled to get complete coverage in my 3000 square foot 2 story house with upper end Linksys router and extender but this did the trick in all areas. Great product!

We purchased this to increase coverage throughout our house. It has worked well and the app is a nice addition to the setup. No complaints at all and I would certainly recommend the Velop setup.

Although I've been paying Spectrum cable for 100 Mbps I was only getting 47 Mbps on a speedtest. This Linksys Velop increased my Mbps from 47 Mbps to 120 Mbps so that streaming is uninterrupted.

This bad boy and it’s nodes work flawlessly. Only knock is the app and the fact it only had one Ethernet cable to hardwire to other devices.

I am very satisfied with this new mesh router system. It was easy to install and the phone app is informative and very useful. I am a bit disappointed that the reach of the individual units is not greater. but my situation is likely more demanding than most. I have to get a signal probably 75-100 feet from one building to a totally separate building. The mesh unit manages but not at full strength [judging from the inability to get a blue light in the other building]. Also the speed there is a bit lower. However, it does work there OK and has been very reliable. If I were able to install another mesh router a bit closer to the separate building, I suspect that all would be excellent. But can't do that.

    Nice mesh network starter system

The packaged system includes 1 full-size tri-band node (AC2200) and 2 dual-band plug in nodes (AC1300). The AC2200 is an attractive free-standing node that blends unobtrusively in any room in my house. The recessed bottom of the housing and cutout to accommodate power and Ethernet cables are nice features. The round ethernet cable that came with the system is functional but short and not as attractive as the flat cables supplied with my original Velop system. The AC1300s are small and designed to allow unobstructed use of the second plug in a standard two-plug (vertically oriented) wall outlet. It will obstruct one plug of a four-plug outlet. If you (like me) are adding these nodes to an existing Velop system, I suggest that you put the AC1300s at the far ends of your network and let the tri-band nodes carry the traffic as far as practical from the parent node. Setup of the nodes was effortless with the Linksys app. The app has improved considerably since the first release (Jan’17). It has evolved to the point that I no longer use the web-based interface for setup or maintenance. The Velop mesh network provides excellent WiFi coverage and speed. As with my original installation, I found it easier to configure each node within a short range from an existing node and move it to its final position when network setup was complete. The app may tell you that you could get better coverage by moving nodes away from the parent, but mine reconnected without problems after relocation. The Velop is decidedly WiFi-centric. There are only two RJ45 connections at the bottom of each AC2200, but the only truly wired connectivity is on the parent node and one of these two ports is occupied by the Ethernet connection to my cable modem. All of the wired devices on my network are accommodated by connecting a network switch to the second port on the parent node. If you are starting from scratch with the system (1 AC2200 and 2 AC1300), you will need to set up the AC1300s have no RJ45 connectors. Overall: The combination of 1 AC2200 and 2 AC1300s makes an excellent starter system or addition to an existing Velop network. Velop AC1300s offer excellent WiFi connectivity and coverage. The management app has evolved to a point where I no longer use the web-based interface for normal maintenance.
