So...if you are not familiar with this band, probably not the recording to start familiarizing them with. Not to say it's bad but, because it's an acoustic set it's not the best way to get acquainted with this band. That being said, as typical fashion these guys are spot on and funny as hockey sticks! If you are already fan and like them, then you'll like this. Hopefully they get a t.v. show on HBO....or maybe that ship has sailed... Oh well there's always this DVD/CD!

This band is the best! So funny! Fairly good live album...if you're a fan get this and support the band! Highly recommended for anyone who likes their comedy dirty :)

If you know Steel Panther, you will love this... if you are NEW to Steel Panther, this will give you not only a taset, but a full meal deal! Highly reccomended

Very funny DVD and great live versions of songs, These guys are so funny and so underated as a band. Satchel is a awesome guitar player.

Steel Panther has never failed to deliver the goods. This set had me wishing they could cover all of their songs like this.

It was long anticipated the new Steel Panther CD, but well worth the wait!' I can't recommend it enough!!

This is my favorite band, and this creative concept just reaffirmed how great they are.

Steel panther acoustic, what more can you ask all the songs you want to hear acoustic

I love Steel Panther; they always make me smile, laugh, and rock out. First and foremost, these guys are musicians (and for those people who don't get the "joke" at least give credit that they are well versed in their musical skills), so it only makes sense that they would create a special acoustic album with a DVD performance. While the songs don't hit as hard as when they are coming out of an amp, you can see how the band wanted to do something slightly different (for them at least). And having the DVD with the performance and some additional skits is fun as well. Any real Fanther is going to want this for their collection. Casual listeners will be interested just to hear a great acoustic jam.

Another great CD by Steel Panther this time its live and acoustic. 5 stars

Not too familiar with Steel Panther,other than that I knew they were a tongue-in-cheek band that played songs with innuendos a la glam bands of the 80s such as Poison or even recent bands like The Darkness with the singer Justin Hawkins in '70s Van Halen/David Lee Roth-era catsuits, as well as Eagles of Death Metal, to a lesser extent. I bought this mainly for nostalgia reasons, as I loved the cover,which features Bobbi Brown, as many will recall from Warrant's 1990 "Cherry Pie" album cover! R.I.P. Warrant's singer Jani Lane, who passed away in 2011! Overall, this CD/DVD set is still entertaining for its un-politically correct attitude and who can go wrong with a song called "Death to All but Metal", even though Steel Panther's version of metal is full of dirty thoughts, partying! The value for this set is nice, as well.

Cd has great sound. DVD was also well done . Great price for double set

The band is like Spinal Tap, it parodies rock from the 80's The subject matters in the lyrics are not for children and the excess of metal bands of the eighties is the main theme. It can be sexist and the lyrics are sometimes vulgar, but they are not afraid of making fun of anyone or anything. (especially themselves) It is a collection of their best songs and one new song If possible get the cd/dvd version of this release, it is an unplugged performance with added video.

It is high time we take this band STEEL PANTHER seriously!! Alot of people thought this band was just a parody..an 80`s cover band?? This is about as 80`s as a metal band can get nowadays. Sure their songs are about girls..girls...girls but they are so catchy!! This cd features the band doing their hits acoustically...they STILL pull it off. Make sure to check out the DVD, its hilarious and it rocks!!

If you have ever heard Steel Panther, and sort of liked what you heard, you will love this DVD. If you have never heard a Steel Panther song, this DVD might sort of shock you. That being said, they are a fun group to watch in a very unplugged fashion. I wish this DVD was much longer. Michael, Satchel, Lexi and Stix killed it for this DVD.

It's Steel Panther so yeah, it's going to be rude and raw. Playing up the "we're just a metal band trying to make it" angle, they stage a show at Lexixi's mom's house in her garage. All the fans are, of course, girls, and all the songs are, of course, about getting laid. Well, most of them. There are some entertaining off-stage antics and the whole event is loaded with the usual jokes that you'd expect from these guys. Metal doesn't get much more fun than this.

I watched the dvd before I listened to the cd & the dvd includes more songs and cute little vignettes. The cd is great also but I would have paid what I paid just for the dvd. Nice little bonus!!
