Customers commend the product's sound quality, although some have noted inconsistencies. However, significant concerns exist regarding comfort and microphone functionality, with many citing discomfort during use and microphone failures. Reports indicate that the microphone's positioning is problematic for some users. The durability of the product also appears to be a point of contention.

Having just got home from Black Friday, going to sleep, waking up, and just opening these headphones, I dislike them.
I haven't had them for any more than 10 hours, and they don't even work.
The Microphone is WAY too far away from your mouth, it doesn't even pick up my voice *And I talk LOUD*.
The comfort makes you want to sit on a bed of spikes instead. It hurts REALLY bad *and I JUST put them on, it's not like I've had them on for hours*
The durability I Cannot say about, as they haven't broken so that's a start.
Going to hope I can return them and get the Pro USB Headset instead. Already had one of those, but my dog chewed through the wires...
All in all, for 25$, you get terrible comfort, average sound quality, and a microphone that is too far away from your mouth, so it doesn't even work.

I bought this headset about a week ago to go along with my Battlefield BAd Company 2 game for PC. I ended up returning the PC game because my video card had a few problems with it. I decided to hold on to the headset for a couple more days before I made a decision to keep it or not, I did keep it.
I like how this headset uses 3.5 mm jacks instead of a USB plug. I probably would have returned it if it had a USB. This really comes in handy. For example if Im at home watching videos on my computer and I want to listen to something without the whole house hearing. I can simply plug this headset in. I also have found myself occassionly listening to my iPod with it too. I wouldnt do this out in public because it has a microphone attached, but it is really nice to use around the house. With the 3.5 mm jack it becomes very handy.
In a few days I'm going to buy a usb adapter that has 3.5 mm jack in it, so that I can use this headset with my PS3.
Overall buying this headset has been great.
The only down side is that at times it can get uncomfortable, but all it neeeds is a little ajusting just move it onto my ear a little more and it seems fine. I think this is mainly because I wear galsses and at time the arm of my glasses gets pinned into the side of my face by the ear phone, but like I said before if I just adjust for a second then it is fine.
BOTTOM LINE-
- Great sound quality
- Decent bass
- Works well with iPods
- Great with Skype
- Can be uncomfortable at times, but all it needs is a little adjusting
- If you want a headset for a affordable price definitley go out and buy this now

So I bought this headset for gaming. I figured it got good reviews and it's pretty cheap, so i got it. At first it was great. The sound quality is pretty good, and it all worked pretty well.
Now for the bad stuff:
every 10 minutes or so you'll have to readjust the headset; it gets very uncomfortable around the ears and the top of the head. While playing Team fortress, I've had many people tell me that they can't hear me well, and that's when the mic volume is all the way up and i'm talking fairly loudly. FINALLY, the left ear sound BROKE!!! I was so mad...First it started just shorting out occasionally, popping back in every once and a while. Now when i try to use it, I can't hear anything from the left ear!! Very annoying, i would NOT buy this if i were you. But if you're buying for someone you don't give a hoot about, it's good.

I purchased these for music and the occasional online gaming. Before I had a set of Plantronics that lasted forever, but once they bit the dust I decided to go with logitech because its a great company who offers great products. However, this one wasn't so great. After about a month, the left headset decided to go out, but then it would decide to come back on, oh and then go out again. The volume control also decides to work when it wants to. I would recommend spending a little more for a decent headset vs this logitech headset.

I needed headset to talk over a VoIP connection. I did not need an expensive gaming headset as I don't need surround sound, but the clarity is important. I had a MS Livechat 3000 which worked great, but eventually broke due to loose internal wiring after around a year of almost daily use. When I went back to BB they were soldout ofthe MS Livechat 3000, so I tried this model as it was only $27.99. Immediately I heard the crackling in the right ear and when you tapped on the volume/mute switch the sound would go in and out in the right ear. Also I had a lot of people complain that the clarity was bad and not near as good as my old headset.I can't defend the cheap quality of this headset but I can possible explain why the clarity was not as good with this headset. I am using this headset on a cheap laptop with a standard audio card. My old MS LiveChat 3000 was a USB connection and this headset uses 3.5mm plugs that plug into your mic and speaker jacks. When you use the USB connection it bypasses your audio card on your computer, so if you have a cheap audio card as I do, stick with a USB connector. If you have a high-end Audio card then you might want to use the 3.5mm plug style in order to get the benifits from your audio card, plus you will be able to plug in and out the headset for instant connection. USB headsets sometimes need you to restart the program for them to connect. I ended up purchasing the Plantronics Model Audio 655 in the gaming department of BB for $49 and so far they sound very similar to my old MS Livechat 3000 headset. One more thing I recommend you get BB replacement plan on any headset you purchase as I believe they are all likely to break sometime over the next two years and the replacement program is not that expensive and BB will replace them instantly instead of having to deal with the manufacturer. If you need a good quality headset with good clarity for voice communications on a cheap computer, check out the Plantronics Audio 655 for $49, or the MS LiveChat 3000 for $42. I also beleive that the Plantronics Gaming headset Model 777 which has a surround sound effect would be a good set if you plan on using them for gaming also, but they are $99.

Rip Off Warning...

I had to pick up a new headset pretty pronto when my old set died. I liked the Logitech wrap-around headset I've used before, the ear padding was nice and soft. I went with these thinking I'd stick to cheap, and, well, they're Logitech, they should be fairly good.
They work fine, but the headset is really tight on my massive melon. The earcups are smallish, so they press against your ears, rather than cup them, and for me, that results in significant discomfort. Sound-wise, they sound fine. Perhaps a little on the tinny side, but I've never been a big bass-head anyway.
For a cheap headset, the quality is pretty good. One warning, however; from some follow-up research I've done, I discovered the MSRP on this headset is apparently $24.99, and yet Best Buy is currently selling them at $27.99. I find this markup particularly heinous, and I love my Best Buy. These headphones were probably not worth the $28. I'm not sure if I'd rate them worth $25, either, but if your head isn't as big as mine, they might do you just fine. If Best Buy has dropped the price below $24.99 when you're reading this, then my "Value for Price" rating would probably go up a notch or two.

I wanted a cheap headset with a mic and that's what I got. I got it home and pluged it in real easy right. that's where easy stopped I went to try a record sond and had to YELL AT THE TOP OF MY VOICE before it even registered sond at all and when it did it was very faint. I haven't had problems with comfort or the sound coming out but I've only had it for a month and from the reviews I've read that won't last. I kind of wished I had read the reviews FIRST but oh well I'll deal.

Over the first few months there was no problems at all with the headset. Then the parts in the inline volume control started rusting. As the rust got worse, the volume became more and more unbalanced between the left and right speakers.
After about 18 months of 5/7 usage, the left speaker refuses to emit any sound at all.
I bought this headset not quite two years ago, and upon looking for a new headset, I decided I need to drop a line for people thinking on this one.

Simply put, these are great for those that need a way to chat online but would rather not throw down $100 or more for a headset.
The quality is average all around, average sound quality, average durability, average everything... but... below average comfort. What I mean by that is, the ear pads are stiff and the headset doesnt seem to sit well (although that is mostly opinion).
Overall, a solidly average performer for the price, but it won't win any awards.

I have owned 2 sets of these. Each one lasted 3-6 months. It seemed to be the same problem both times, a short in the cord that made others think I was wadding up paper in front of the mic. The thin cord lends itself to shorts. Believe me you will get more bang for your buck by buying the Logitech - H530 USB Headset. It is about 2x as much but the one I have has lasted for 2 1/2 years now and still going strong.

I have had to replace these same headphones every 2-3 months. Do not waste your money on these. In the past year and a half I have had this same model 6 different times. They always break down, either the microphone stops working or the sound goes out in either one or both ears. So this is definitely something you should not buy it isn't worth 25 dollars, It isn't even worth 10 dollars.

I purchased this as a replacement for my old Rocketfish headset that I used for gaming. Adjusting this headset is difficult and uncomfortable, and in some cases it's impossible. The microphone isn't adjustable at all, so I couldn't even get it close enough to pick up my voice. If you're looking for a cheap headset and you have a childsize head then maybe it'd be worth it, but otherwise there are better headsets for the price.

Bought this based on Logitech's reputation for good products. I haven't had any trouble with the left speaker or the mic like others have. In fact, the sound quality has been great. What I hate about this headset is that it's incredibly uncomfortable. I have a small head, and it presses my ears against my head and makes my ears hurt after only a couple minutes. The adjustment to make it larger only makes the heaband longer, it does not widen it.

I wanted a comfortable headset that wasn't going to break on me. What I got was a pretty good headset... for a couple months. Then a couple months of the microphone not working. After that it worked fine again for another few months, but now, the wiring is so temperamental that I can't even get the microphone or the headphones to work for more than a few seconds, even if I stay completely still and hold the wire to keep it still, as well.
If you're looking for a product that lasts, this is not the headset for you.

I bought these headphones about 3 months ago for the reason of online gaming... I wish I didn't. They are very painful only after a few minutes and the adjustment doesn't help at all. The mic is too far from my mouth and im pretty sure an anteater couldn't get their mouth close enough to be picked up by this piece of junk. The fact that the mic doesn't work completely defeats the purpose of why i bought this product in the first place, to talk! Also the left ear piece stopped working entirely. Im actually very surprised by what a load of garbage this is because logitech usually makes very good products. Bottom line dont waste your money with this pile of rotted filth, just spring for a more expensive, more durable, and better all around headset

Decent price, but should have known why it was such a low price. The speakers for the headphones sound great, but the microphone is terrible. I was trying to use it for chatting with friends on AIM and it was terrible. Horrible mic, don't buy it. I usually like logitech brand items, but this was just terrible!

I don't recall exactly how long I owned this headset, but long enough that I can not locate the receipt. Just recently the microphone gave out, and since I don't have the receipt, I can't take advantage of any warranty. The headset is now in the trash. I'm very sour on this product. I would not buy it again, and I wouldn't recommend it.

I too had the issue where the audio started cutting out in the left speaker. I have electronics experience and diagnosed this issue. The in-line volume control componant is junk, and bad out of factory. According to this forum, looks like logitech does not care and continues to use this cheap componant. Do not buy any logitech device with this type of volume control in it.
