Mine broke immediately upon setup. The side plate on the joint popped off and the structural wiring inside came out, couldn't hold the weight of my Samson Meteor after I put the side plate back on. I likely just got unlucky, but it's unlike Logitech to have products that aren't extremely durable

This stand is pretty strong and overall great addition to my desk. The only issue I really have is if you have a small space to have this installed, the way it has to bend is kinda wonky and you will have issues. Would not recommend installing on a desk in the corner because it needs to bend opposite which you think it will bend and will hit the wall. If you install it in the middle or the front of your desk you should be find. Beyond that that is my only gripe with it.

With beautiful style, and amazing cable management, this boom arm is perfect..... if it could function as a boom arm. The purpose of a mic stand is to hold a mic where you want it too, but due to the fact this arm uses a tension spring, you have to spend hours figuring out where the arm will allow you to put the mic. I've tried it using a blue yeti mic and a sure SM7B, I've tried every level of adjustment on the spring (even removing the adjustment screw), and the result is the same: way too much drift, most angles within it's range are impossible, and my mic placement is dependent on what the arm will allow me to do. I wish i had gotten the PSA 1, but for now I'm going to get a cheap desktop stand and try to find a use for this one.... maybe holding a rim light or something?

Good build quality, the middle joint is really hard to set if base joint is past 45 degrees. Using with blue yeti.

I purchased this to replace the very cheap stand (that used noisy springs) for my ATR2100 microphone. The construction of this arm is great. Very stout and of good quality. I love the built-in channel (with clips) on the top for your wires. That being said, make sure you pay attention to the weight of the your microphone. My ATR2100 is almost too light for the tension locks. The arm will rise back up a few inches from where it is set, so I have to go down a little further than necessary to have the mic positioned properly, after the "self-adjustment". For me, this was not a deal breaker, nor should it be for you. Just something to be aware of. Also, from the down position, it will rise quickly when moved up, so make sure your face is not in the way (lesson learned the hard way). Again, not a deal breaker for me. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and it does a great job.

Overall it’s exactly what I expected. It’s made with high quality materials and is extremely durable. It takes a little use to get the arm to have nice movement but once the stiffness is gone it’s all you could ever hope for.

Anyone purchasing this device needs to plan ahead for it's usage. It has limited dexterity. with only 2 flex (other than the mic) joints it limits it's use and installation must be planned accordingly. I have managed to make it work but would have been happier making it work my way instead it's limited possibilities.

I got this for my Shure 55SH, which is a fairly heavy mic. Works better than those cheapo $15 ones. I like how stiff and balanced it is. Once set, it swivels and pivots fairly easily without sinking.

I had purchased and returned a Logitech Compass, I had a model that was released with a known defect. The arm was tensioned so much that no adjustments hold. THIS Samson MBA38 is an absolute dream to use, you do not need to adjust anything out of the box, it is stiff and ridig with smooth motion. It stays where I position it and its more than I could have asked for for the money. With the internal springs not being exposed in case of a failure, I think its a tremendous value. I use a Blue Yeti Nano, light mics work great with this arm, no bounce back whatsoever, heavy mics make adjustments easier. Would buy again.

Purchased for my son. Unable to loosen tension, would keep springing up. terrible included instructions. Logitech makes good products, maybe this was a one-off lemon. I did return to Best buy. I do recommend maybe we just got a bad one.

The quality of this stand seems to be good. If you do not have a heavier microphone then you will run into some issues with it staying in a lower position but once you get the balancing right, it works great

Works perfectly for my setup. I have the Yeti Pro X microphone and the setup process is nearly seamless. My only issue is the lack of instructions on how the tension system works. I had to look up a video to understand it fully.
