A disappointing followup to the G430 model
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned the previous iteration of this headset for many years. The sound quality on the G430 model is great and the microphone is good enough. The biggest issue I've had is they break quite easily after only a few months of use. The plastic will crack and chip off until eventually one of the earcups snaps and dangles loose. Considering the previous version is discontinued, I decided to go for the next one up. I've had more issues with the G432's in one day than I ever did with the last pair. The mic quality is noticeably worse. The headphones allow you to hear your mic back and the G432's loopback is incredibly loud and sounds robotic. The only fix is downloading Logitech's horrible G Hub software which then introduces a new problem, the haunted mic volume. It'll consistently adjust itself based on how loud or quiet you're speaking. It's a good idea, but practically every little background noise can be picked up. Perhaps I got a faulty pair or the USB adapter is bad, but it's a noticeable step down from the multiple G430's I've owned in the past.

Great Sound, terrible Body
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second time I've gone through a Logitech headset. The sound quality is very good while it lasts, but they break very easily. And this "break" should definitely be considered as part of "wear and tear" of the model. If you look at the image of the model, you can see what I'm talking about. Just above the ear muffs where you can adjust the size for you head, there's that small opening that allows the speakers to move side to side. There. That's what you have to worry about on these Logitech models. I've gone through two unique models by Logitech because best buy had to replace my last one with a similar model, so i knew what i was going to get out of it again because i was on warranty. But don't expect them to last more than a year. It's built to break. I give this 2 stars, because they're nice... While it lasts.

Great for Temporary Use
Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the look, feel, and sound of these headphones. They are fairly comfy for the price. They are great for swapping between PC, XBOX, and PS4 by simply plugging in the cord into Y-splitter, for PC, or removing it for consoles. However, they are super flimsy. They break easily. I am on my third pair. Very cheap, but of course, you get what you pay for. These are perfect for GENTLE gamers who are just starting out but eventually you will need to upgrade to a more sturdy pair as the mic will eventually go out on you or one of the headphone parts will break completely. (Both times, the headphone on the side with the mic breaks off and the mic eventually makes static noises).

Good sound, bad fit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is very good and the microphone is solid; a good value. The problem is that they're incredibly uncomfortable. The headband angles the cups outward and isn't flexible, so they dig into my head and I can't wear them for long periods of time. I'm replacing them and saving them as an emergency backup set only.

Not too bad, but not the best…
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I really like Logitech. I've used their mice and keyboards for a very long time. I'd never used their headsets before, so I decided to try this set out. At first view, they do have a really good looking design. Volume button at the back base of the left ear. Single wire connection (no Y-splitting to each side). When wearing them, I have mixed feelings. They do have great sound quality to them. The ear cup design is nice, giving a little more room around the ears and the leatherette and padding are comfortable. It has a flip-up to mute mic, which is nice. To me, compared to another brand of entry/mid-level headset we have, these feel a little uncomfortably heavy when wearing them, even though they really don't weigh much more. They seem to "clamp" a little stronger, which may be part of it. Also, to me, the top head padding could have a little better design. While does have more padding depth than some, it is just a little too narrow (just over 0.5"), so it seems to have a higher, somewhat uncomfortable pressure point across the top of my head. It does come with a splitter cable to hook it up to your PC, which was nice. Overall, this isn't a bad headset, but unfortunately not my favorite. I was hoping for a little better for being from one of my favorite brands.

Just.... meh....
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Look. I get it. The price on this headset should be considered to tamper your expectations on a product. But I expect more from Logitech. I utilize this product on a Playstation 4 Pro with OEM controllers. Having utilized Platronics, Turtle Beach and other Logitech headsets in the past, this may be my least favorite. Looking at sound quality first. It's adequate at best. I play hunting games a lot. I need to be able to hear very low decibel sounds crisply to distinguish where they're coming from and how close they are. Not possible with this headset. I've had better luck using an earbud headset. The highest volume level is actually pretty good. I've had problems with other better quality headsets not getting loud enough. As for comfort, the quality is average, and not long lasting. With other moderate level headsets, you almost don't feel the headsets after a while. When wearing these, I am constantly aware that I am wearing them. I have to readjust them continuously because of discomfort. I would not recommend this headset to someone. I would recommend looking at another brand or paying a little more for a higher quality item.

Sound is great but......
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using my Astro a40s for a little over 2 years now, they're amazing but i thought it was time for something new, I decided to go with a different brand. I settled on the Logitechs. The sound is amazing but man are they heavy! i play for atleast 2 hours a day and after 2 hours or more man do they give me a headache becuase of how much they weigh, they're also not very comfortable around the ears.the mesh they use is really rough. Im also having software issues, my computer just doesn't read the headphones sometimes. If i could do it again i would of passed on these and got something else. maybe ill go for Razer headphones next time since their keyboards are great.

Just what I needed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this on my PS4, and its really my first time using one of these in the last 10 years... The 7.1 surround sound is awesome, you can really hear different "quadrants" of sound while playing. Hear to the left, the right, behind you, etc... I like the flip to mute functionality of the mic... you don't have to ever wonder if its muted or not. Overall comfort is great, lots of padding and cushion on the ears. I can use this for several hours with no discomfort.

Excellent for PC, Not for XBOX
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones because I game on XBOX. I specifically asked for a headset compatible with XBOX, which they are definitely usable. Here's the issue: If you want to use all the bells and whistles that this headset has, don't buy it for Xbox. None of the buttons work, the volume control doesn't work. All of the fantastic things that this headset does will not work with the 3.5mm cable. Had I known this info before buying, I wouldn't have paid $99 plus tax on this headset that will do the same thing as a $30 headset at Walmart. If you're a PC gamer, this set is just excellent! The only reason I left a 4 is that there's nothing special when connected to Xbox, and that is the reason for the purchase.

Exceptionally poor design, self damaging
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When they work, the sound quality is good, but Logitech either completely fell down on the job from a basic design perspective, or they have purposefully designed these headphones to fail after only minimal use so you will go out and buy another pair. In short, the design failing is SO bad, I think the poor quality must be intentional. I have had these headphones for a little over a week, and they are already failing. Why? Because the usb cord that powers them and provides the connection to the pc has an inflexible connector that projects a full inch downwards from the ear piece, and the usb connector is very weak. That means every time I turn my head, roll my shoulders or even breathe deeply, the usb cord wiggles free and I lose all sound. This problem has gotten progressively worse over the short time I have owned these headphones, to the point where they have become essentially unusable. I suppose I could tape the connector, but I really shouldn't need to perform stopgap repairs on a pair of headphones a week after buying them. I have had a lot of success with Logitech products in the past, but these headphones reek of planned obsolescence. I do not recommend them, at all. I will be returning them to the store shortly.

Great Headphones But Bad Durability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.my headphones held up for about a year until i noticed something about the hinges, the place where those four screws are. on the outside they start cracking and eventually snapped. i would ask for a refund but we are off warranty and yes i am thinking about a different set of headphones. the G430s are great headphones but i need that durability. so here i am sitting down at my desk looking at headphones and looking online for fixes for this, nothing. if logitech gets back to my reviews and i get an email about what my issue is i will gladly show them what is wrong.

Good value; well-made, affordable and functional
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can find these gaming headphones cheaper elsewhere, but they're still a good value at Bestbuy.com Overall, these headphones are comfortable and the sound quality/microphone is "good" -but not outstanding. The controls are cumbersome and difficult to manipulate while on your head, but the microphone and PTT features are, generally, accessible and easy to use in game. The G Hub features are complicated, difficult to streamline across various devices and buggy AT BEST. Sadly, this is more of a feature than a bug, but I have found this to be the case with almost every manufacturers RGB/programable device software. They all are more-or-less terrible. That said, Logitech still makes some of the better quality offerings on the market and they hold up over time. When compared for price point, quality of manufacture and utility/value the Logitech G635 is an excellent offering and I would recommend them for mid-tier gamers/streamers or anyone who is looking for a decent, well-rounded set of wired headphones.
