Would have been 5 stars, except the batteries do not last but for a half of a day during casual use, a few hours during gaming. The charging cord is a bit stiff and hinders movement if you play during charging. Otherwise a good mouse, very responsive from a good distance (rig to recliner, app. 5' to 6'.)

The Logitech G700s mouse with it's programmable buttons is great for gaming. You can program any of the buttons for any action you wish that you would normally need your keyboard for. I have many actions programmed on mine and I now need the keyboard for little to nothing while gaming. The variable speed settings are great too. If you have a fast computer and monitor, this mouse can keep up where ordinary wireless mice cannot. My ordinary wireless mouse would lag, stutter and even stop during gaming. While it sometimes likes to forget it's programming if you need to plug in during long gaming sessions, you can remind it and it will start the button functions again. Other that that, and getting used to all the different setting you can do on it, it is a fantastic wireless gaming mouse. Best mouse I have ever used, gaming and normal web surfing.

Logitech continues to improve on their mice! This fits that hand nicely and the included wire allows it to be used as a wired mouse (it also comes with a dongle if you just want wireless). It takes a little learning to get used to the four thumb buttons, but once it is set up it works very nicely. I liked it so much that I bought a second one to replace a dying mouse at home.

This mouse feels great in hand. I decided to go with this mouse over the other mice best buy had to offer because of the feel of it. You have to download the software off of logitechs site but that wasn't hard. Once you do the mouse is very customizable. Battery life is decent but if I forget to turn it off I usually have to charge it every other day. Gamers don't usually like wireless mice but I say give this one a try!

where to start, I LOVE THIS MOUSE. i had the logitech g500 for about 3 years and the left and right click weren't as responsive after millions if not billions of clicks as im a daily gamer. i loved that mouse and i love logitech products so i looked into this mouse and was kinda concerned at first cause im not a big fan of wireless cause im a hardcore gamer and as all true gamers know wired over wireless, you get way better response times from anything wired than wireless. but you can use this as a wired mouse with the included charging cable. but the wireless for this is so great i just use it wireless and let it charge every few days so i don't have to worry about the battery dying in the middle of gaming which ive never had happen cause it has awesome battery life. and the buttons on this thing are nice, i love how it has buttons for your index finger, don't find many mouses with index finger buttons which are soooo goooood. i highly recommend this mouse to any and every gamer. WAY BETTER than razer mouse. the logitech software you can use for programming buttons and macros is very nice as well. ive never had any issues with the mouse or the software

Besides the 13 programmable buttons, high dpi, large size, comfortable use after many many hours of game play, long battery life and precision I have only one minor complaint... no led to customize its color to match my gaming setup. But again, thats super minor.

I have been using for several months. The Logitech - G700s Rechargeable Laser Gaming Mouse has seen many long gaming sessions both through the USB and wireless. Wireless battery life is great and there did not appear to be any missed clicks. The added buttons are easily recognised by World of Warcraft for mapping purposes.

I'm pretty happy with this mouse. The grip is nice, the button layout isn't too complicated and the usage is easy. I like that multiple profiles are stored on the device and that you can easily switch between them using a button on the mouse. You can customize the profiles using the Logitech Gaming software.
My biggest complaint (I would have returned it if I hadn't missed the return deadline) is the battery life. I have had several cordless mice and this is the WORST for battery life. Even using the 'power saving mode' profile, the battery will not last more than a few days of semi regular usage. With the profile set to 'maximum performance' for gaming, the batteries last a lot less time and seem to die overnight if I forget to switch the profile back.
Using the mouse with the charging cable plugged in is nice, but the cable drags too much and reminded me of why I have a cordless mouse in the first place.
I want to try switching the AA rechargeable battery to another, but I've read other reviews so I don't think it's the battery.
I recommend this mouse only if battery life doesn't worry you.

For the price I thought it was going to be an out of this world experience, but... the only thing I like is the program able buttons....battery does not last as long.
The AA battery's on my Microsoft mouse I probably change once every half a year, this mouse I charge once a week..
Not as great as it looks

This is a great mouse with great tracking, many options for customization and comfortable to use. My only complaint is the rechargeable battery. It does not last very long and takes a significant amount of time to recharge. I wish there was the option of using regular batteries. The best solution is to buy backup batteries, instead of being corded.

Just as described, not a long lasting battery life but I was able to use it almost three full days at work before having to charge. I like the selectable scrolling feature. Not too heavy. Comfortable in my hand. I like the fact that can charge it using my current micro usb.

This is the second one of these I have bought. I used the first so much while gaming that I wore out a couple buttons. I don't use it wireless, since I find that the battery doesn't really last more than a few hours, but other than that it's great! Super easy to program and has enough buttons to get the job done.

It's an excellent gaming mouse even for the cost. However, with such a high price you may want some extras that aren't at all necessary but desirable such as LED lights. Overall, and especially to the non-gamer, It’s a comfortable, feature-packed wireless mouse that balances design and functionality in exceptional fashion

I bought this Logitech G700s Gaming Mouse more for the purpose of 3-D Modeling and some medium to light gaming. I love the look and feel of this mouse. It has a nice rough texture on the sides that make it grip my hand better than my last mouse did. I love the custom profiles that i can store on this mouse. The battery life is good not great, i got about a couple days of use out of it. But it does charge fast and i am able to use the mouse while charging, so that helps. There are 13 re-programmable buttons that can be remapped and configured to my needs. I would recommend this mouse to anyone looking for a solid mouse with tons of features and the ability to be re-charged.

It fits my hand nicely. I like the grip, most of the buttons are in good places. It works feels good when no cord is attached. Not many mice out there have this many buttons. The 4 thumb buttons are awesome, great location, easy to tell apart.

Excellent mouse for World of Warcraft. The side buttons make it very easy to use your hotkeyed abilities. I do wish the scroll wheel wasn't so loose, that can be frustrating at times.

The feel of the mouse, buttons, and software are good. Great price for a hybrid mouse (can run corded while it charges or cordless).
But the scroll wheel has no detents and just free spins. That is annoying because web pages would scroll up/down if you moved the mouse, or sometimes just from the fact the wheel isn't balanced perfectly. And this was doubly annoying when playing games (which is what this mouse was supposed to be designed for) as whatever function the scroll wheel ran would do it's own thing at critical moments.
If they install a wheel detent, this would be a 5 star mouse. Ended up returning to the store for a different brand.

I needed something to replace my intermittently working Logitech MX1000 on my main machine (I have 4 of them between work and home, haven't used anything else in years). So I looked around for weeks at mice to figure out a replacement. Wanted something that had the form and function of the MX 1000, but also was built for some gaming.
Just built a new main machine, and haven't gotten to the point of installing my FPS games yet, so I can't comment on how this excels in gaming. BUT- I was just going through some Excel sheets from work, and could not scroll side to side in them. Hmmm....went to the GS app, made sure things were set right, even set 2 of the side buttons to horizontal scroll, nada. Start Googling the issue. Known issue with MS Office apps, no solution unless you want to either use 3rd party apps to map functions, or some other work arounds that should not be necessary for this basic of functions. Neither the buttons or the scroll wheel work for this.
The Setpoint software allows for this, but no matter what version of Setpoint I install, it will not list this mouse. Googled. Another known issue with no solution. WTH Logitech........
Otherwise, I like the mouse. Oh, and battery life is lousy. My MX 1000 would last 2 weeks between charges, this is 2 -3 days, with just basic use, and not in Gaming mode. Now, as with anything that comes with a provided battery, maybe Logitech provides a lousy rechargeable with this, so, when it really starts aggravating me, I'll try a replacement and see if that lasts longer. Good thing it has a charging tail, so you can keep working while charging.

This mouse is great! It fits the hand nicely and the buttons are not ridiculous (they don't get in the way). It has a good number of buttons so that you can program whatever you need. It includes software so that you can edit the settings of the mouse. The mouse settings can be saved to its memory so that when you move it to another computer, the settings will remain the same. You can program many different profiles and change DPI on the fly as well as profiles. The mouse weight is not the lightest but I like there to be a little bit of weight to my mouses when I play games. You can use it wired or wireless and it doesn't affect the performance. With the many options for buttons, I have it also set to where it is applicable for simple computer use too like browsing.

I will qualify my recommendations by noting I have not tried to use it on my Mac yet. I have used it on Windows 7 for routine functions and gaming, though I am not a big gamer. It responds quickly and allows minute adjustments when the dpi key is used. Yes, the rechargeable battery runs down in mere hours if it is being used for movement intensive activities like gaming, but given the 1000 reports per minute it is making between mouse and computer, it does not seem realistic to expect otherwise. So, you plug it in to play but the heavy cable will definitely crimp your style until you can untether again. There is room for design improvement and a little more price reduction, and therefore I dropped one star, but otherwise, this seems a good all round mouse.
