    Great gaming mouse

This mouse works great for all games and also general use. It is comfortable and fits your hand well. You can use it for long gaming sessions without hand fatigue. The only downside is that the rechargeable battery (included) only lasts 4 to 6 hours before you need to charge it. You can still use the mouse while you're charging via the 2.0 usb cable that is included. Over all it's a great mouse!

I purchased this to use with my gaming laptop. A basic wireless mouse just wasn't getting the job done. I love the mouse, the only downside is the battery life. You only get a day out of a charge with the stock battery. It does come with a nice USB cable to charge it with. You are able to use it in wired mode while it is charging. I decided to replace the stock 1200mah battery with a 2400mah battery. Now I am able to get 2-3 days out of it with normal use before needing to charge it.

I got this to try playing with a mouse instead of gamepad. It works just fine as a wireless mouse, but definitely shows an improvement in response speed when plugged in. It's really comfortable to rest your hand on.

Quite pleased with this mouse. The programmable buttons are great. Two things I wish it had: - My previous logitech mouse had an "acceleration" based precision setting so it would go fast across the screen but slow down for precision clicking. This one seems to just go a continuous speed and I've been re adjusting to that. - I needed to buy a mouse pad because it doesn't work on my glass desk. I miss the "dark field" laser glass tech of my previous logitech mouse. This should be standard.

Great mouse overall, but serious design flaws

Overall, this mouse is what you'd expect from a logitech gaming mouse. It's precise, it has customizable buttons, it's comfortable to use for the most part, and it works with logitech's gaming software. However, there are serious design flaws holding this back from being a great product. First, the battery life is quite disappointing. The rechargeable battery needs daily charging as within 12 hours or so it is dead. Now this normally wouldn't be a problem, the old wireless logitech MX1000 mouse for instance had a charging dock that was convenient and made charging the mouse a non-issue. For whatever reason though, logitech decided to instead make charging the mouse require a wired connection to the PC through USB. So why is this a problem? Well, plugging in the wired and wireless connectors at the same time seems to cause compatibility issues. I've had my mouse just completely lose connection with the PC when doing this. So the first issue is that swapping between these two connectors grows tiresome. The second issue is that the wired connector is too sturdy for its own good. See, the wired charging cable also functions as a wired connection to the PC, which isn't always the case with logitech mice. So this is a plus. But when playing using the wired connector, the cable is constantly tugging on the mouse. I often find if I take my hand off the mouse for too long it starts getting pulled back with the cable. This is a real problem when playing first person shooters and other games that require mouse precision. If logitech comes up with driver solutions soon that fix the issues with plugging in both wired and wireless connectors at the same time, I'd probably give this a slightly higher rating, as switching between the connections would at least be less annoying.

I had the previous version of this mouse for a bout 3 years, so I bought the updated version. The tracking on the mouse is very accurate, wireless transport is easy to use, the infinite scrolling is handy, but the programmable thumb buttons are the key point of using this mouse for gaming and business. You can assign a single keystroke to each button, or an entire macro, all on different profiles. I would highly recommend this mouse for budget gamers or anyone that tends to use shortcuts & hotkeys.

I purchased my first mouse and everything worked great for the first week then all of a sudden the mouse stopped working via wireless method. Logitech is known for making the best mouse's so I wrote this up as a fluke and exchanged the mouse for the exact same product. I use this mouse for work and not as a true gaming mouse. The programmable buttons work great for opening applications, launching browsers, etc. I will update this review if I encounter the same technical issue.,

    Gaming Mouse Needed

I had a a gaming mouse G600 wired, I still use it but needed something wireless and extra or when I do development as well as when I travel to work and back since I do not like standard mice. I will be trying this one out on a few games once my gaming machine is built so I can determine if I want a colored button mouse (G600) or the G700S. Either way I will be using both of them nonstop anyways. As I said before in my previous posts, the service was excellent and I did not have to wait. Everything was together when I came to pick it up from the online ordering to the store.

    "Sort of" Cordless

The mouse itself is generally fine: it tracks well, the buttons are easy to reach, it's comfortable, etc. I really like being able to save button configurations to the mouse itself, instead of needing to run SetPoint in order to use custom settings. The right mouse button is a little sensitive/too easy to accidentally click, but, as far as the basics, the mouse is decent enough. The real issue is that the mouse just drains the battery too fast. Even if you set the polling rate to 60Hz, you can a day or two of use from the mouse before it needs charged. Fortunately, you can simply plug in the USB cable and use the mouse as a wired mouse while it charges, but if you have to spend 1/3-1/2 of your time using it wired, it defeats some of the purpose of having a cordless mouse. Now, I don't play games all of the time - I bought this mouse because I wanted something to replace some of the aging mice from the Cordless Wave Pro bundle (which are fantastic mice). I realize I've got a "gaming" mouse, but that's really because Logitech stopped offering non-gaming mice that had enough buttons for me. As it stands now, I feel too tethered to the charging cable with this thing. If you can live needing to plug in every other day or so (or even, every half day if you're using it heavily), then the mouse is fine - if you plan on using it cordless very often, be aware that it drains batteries fast.

This is the 5th g700 I have owned. The programable keys are great for programing functions for games. The corded feature gives you the freedom to be wireless with the ability to plug in and stay in the game when your mouse is dead as well as letting you stay wired if you feel that degree of responsiveness is needed. This is a beefy mouse that fits a big hand. I said I have owned 5 of them. When a loved one says they need a mouse I give them mine and go out and get another new one. I'm dreading the day I do that and they no longer make this awsome mouse!

Used For AutoCAD, Best Mouse Ever

I bought this mouse nearly 2 years ago and it's still working in perfect condition. I use it primarily for AutoCAD and it's brilliant, I have every single button setup for different commands. After the initial time getting used to it, it saves me a significant amount of time just drafting 50% from the mouse. The only downside is the 8 hr battery life, but since I sit at a desk for this work, it's not a problem plugging it in.

It's fairly expensive for a mouse but it is well worth it. Having the choice between wireless and wired along with a good amount of programmable buttons makes it really easy to use. If you do want to buy it, check into the software that Logitech has for their products first. The only downside is how unreliable the software might be.

I use this mouse daily. I originally bought it to use in my work. I do CAD work and I wanted something that I could program macros to. The software for this is fairly straight forward allowing you to program functions to the on board mouse memory or profiles for individual programs. This is sold as a gaming mouse but I was able to set it so that when my CAD program opens it switches to that specific profile. Switching from program to program it almost always changes profiles perfectly and seamlessly. I say almost always because occasionally for whatever reason it doesn't change. The fix is to switch to a different program and then switch back. This has made my job so much quicker and easier. I liked this so much that I bought one for home. I have been using this series mouse for a couple of years now (I had the original G700) I wore out the right mouse button one and replaced it with the G700s. I recommend this to anyone that wants a programmable mouse. Anyone that may not want the crazy 50 button MMO mouse. Or is just looking for a very comfortable mouse to use. I forgot mention the wireless is great. I use this across the room from my PC. I charge the mouse with a powered hub and it works flawlessly,

It might just be what I expect from a gaming mouse along with what this offers but I was left feeling a bit ripped off. Seems unlike a plain jane logitech Anywhere-MX mouse (just an example) that can run on one or two batteries unlike the G700s which is limited to one. Holding a charge is almost non existent. I might as well have bought a corded gaming mouse due to the one rechargeable battery that it uses. Not to mention you have to turn it off , which to me is something I tend to never think of until I try to use it the second time after a recharge. With the response speeds and other options this mouse offers you would think they would use at least 2 batteries. So If you are not use to having a cord tethered to your mouse(cord is as stiff as a piece of rebar), you prob. should keep shopping. I have yet to have a fully charged battery out last a gaming session. Now for the positive side. Read the list on the product page. All said and done, I'm taking mine back do to it's lack of holding a charge. If you like to get smoked in the middle of a multi-player game due to a dead battery, then this mouse is for you.

Another great product from Logitech. My only complain is the battery life or it would have 5 stars, but it does comes with rechargeable batteries, and the usb connector to recharge, so just recharge when it gets down to one light. It is very ergonomic for me, and the buttons are placed well for gaming.
