    Great gaming mouse

Bought this mouse after the scroll wheel middle click stopped working on my old G602. The G700s is more comfortable to use, and the layout and distinct ridges of the programmable buttons make for easy and precise use without accidentally clicking the wrong one. The battery life on the G602 was by far better, but the convenience of the G700s' rechargeable battery more than makes up for this. Overall, I'd say this is definitely the best wireless gaming mouse I've ever owned or used.

It's been about 2 months since I bought this mouse and I'm really pleased. I like the fact that I can program the buttons for anything I need in MMO's. Software is easy to use.

One of the thumb buttons broke (G6 Button). Sucks because it was a convenient and common button that I used in gaming.

    Quality Control Issue?

    Posted .

I bought a G700 (not the S version) less than a year ago, but the index button needs to be fixed under warranty, so I wanted to buy a mouse I could use while the G700 was being repaired by Logitech. I bought the G700s yesterday and when I got it home, I found that when viewing web pages, the pages kept scrolling up after I released the button. I checked closely...I'd ensure that when I released the button, I'd release my finger by pulling the finger straight up from the mouse. Each time, the button would roll back a bit then stop. I then decided that this mouse costs too much to put up with such behavior so I returned it to the store an hour after purchase. They swapped it with a new one and guess what? The new one has the exact same issue (just not as bad). This mouse is REALLY good and has very nice features, but the out-of-round scroll button is highly annoying. This is supposed to be a precision gaming mouse. It shouldn't have such an issue. Now, the fact that I've been through two mice with the same issue tells me that there's a quality control issue with this product. I'm not sure if I should return this and see if the third replacement will work. As well, this mouse is currently on sale ($30 less), so I'm reluctant to select a different model.

This is must buy for games or video Editor, like me. I got one of these for myself and it was so nice I got one for my whole family. My mother really likes the seamless switch between wireless and wired so you can charge the battery. If you don't have time to charge the battery you can take out the battery and use a AA. If you plug it in while you have a non-rechargeable AA the mouse will know so you don't explode the mouse. The software is easy to use and customize.

This mouse feels great in the hand, but it is not worth the price, it dies really fast and it "jumps" around a lot, this is really annoying when trying to play games or even doing some graphic designing I do for fun. Also, I cannot use the charger while using the mouse, the cord is way to stiff, It is hard to move and I have to pull on it a lot because I need more slack to It will move easier (I have to have at least 8 inches of slack that should be un needed) I do like the customization for the buttons, it has a lot and you can customize it to anything you like. like Alt+Tab when you are playing games when you are supposed to be doing homework haha. I am going to sell this mouse and I ordered the Razer Taipan a few minutes ago.

Poor battery life kills an otherwise great product

I don't game much on my desktop but when I do this mouse fits the bill. It is really comfortable to use. I see no difference in performance using it in wired or wireless mode. However, in wireless mode I get at best a week out of the battery.

    Good Mouse but Poor software

I purchased this mouse about 3 months ago. I regret the purchase and wish I had selected a different product. The problem I've had is with the gaming software that is required to use the special features of this mouse. The software has a lot of flexibility and could be great except for two major issues. First, it provides no feedback on what gaming profile is being used. You can select one and presumably force it to be used but even that is problematic. The second issue is that when my computer is sleeping and waking it will frequently just flake out. Most often I'll wake my computer and go browse a web page, hit the button to go back in the web browser but instead it tiles the window, windows key, back arrow. The gaming software at this point does nothing. I can't fix the mouse at all. I've only found that restarting the software fixes it. I've spoken with support and they have been unable to help. I've reinstalled the software twice, I've wiped out it's data directory, I've set my USB ports to not sleep. I've tried everything with no help. At this point I'm shopping for another mouse :(

    Good Mouse, Terrible Battery

The mouse functions well but the battery requires excessive charging. Both the rechargeable battery provided and a standard AA failed to last more than two days. Such frequent charging feels like it defeats the purpose of a wireless mouse.

As much as I want to give this mouse a 5, I can't. I bought this mouse to replace a G700 that had a bad micro-switch for the left mouse button. The G700 lasted about 3.5-4yrs. I bought this G700s at the end of March. It is now exhibiting the same failing micro-switch for the left mouse button. Battery life seems to be ok, roughly 6 hours of wireless time under heavy gaming. I have no other issues with the mouse, but these junk micro-switches are a deal breaker. Time to find out how painful the warranty service is going to be.

    Good mouse, horrible software

My husband bought this for me for my birthday. He has a G700 and loves his. This one seemed to work well, except when it came time to install the software so I could program the buttons, the software wouldn't work. I kept receiving an error on the last step. I called Logitech and the customer support was very nice, but they informed me that since I had Windows 8.1 they didn't have software that was compatible with my computer. For a company that's been around for so long and is a huge part of computer hardware, how can they not have software for the latest version of Windows? To me, that's just crazy. It's not like this version "just" came out. For anyone who has an older computer, this mouse would be great, but if you ever plan on upgrading your computer, beware as you won't be able to use this mouse.
