The Logitech - G930 Wireless Gaming Headset was instantly recognized by my AMD based computer. The microphone appeared to work during initial setup. However, when I attempted to use it with Ventrilo I could not get the microphone to work. It was only after installing, uninstalling, reinstalling the Logitech Gaming Software and restarting several times that the microphone started working with Ventrilo. Once working I was very happy with the sound quality but, battery life may be an issue during long 2way gaming sessions.

So I have had the g930's for about 2 years but I have had the one that I have on my head for about 3 months and this is the biggest problem with them. They break so easily, mine is broken in 4 spots and they are broken on the arms that hold to cup to the frame. I have tried super glue and tape to hold them together, tape holds best BTW. in all other category's they are great sound is great mic is good. if you are willing to buy some tape and glue then this is a good headset but if you just want one that you can use all day and not worry then buy something else. oh if you want some really good tape that works with headsets and a lot of other things then I would recommend Metal tape from 3M its waterproof and it has a really good hold.

As someone that plays a good amount of games online (Battlefield, League of Legends, Steam games), watches movies, and chats over Google Hangouts and Skype I found that for the price I paid over the holidays of 2013 ($80) these were just as good of an investment as some of the higher end Astros and Turtle Beach Headsets I have invested in or used while at a friend's house. Wireless, responsive surround sound (after messing with the EQ a bit), comfortable after hours of use, with a good battery life (or as good as can be expected for higher end wireless gaming headsets), these headsets really do perform up to quality. I mean if you want to go expensive "gamer name brand" and have the money to spend over $150 then do so, but finding these online and on sale will leave you smiling. I did a lot of reseach before going with these and I am quite happy I did for the price I paid.

Headset feels nice. Blocks out more sound the my previous. Only problem I have had is disconnecting which I may have found the solution to. You have to change a field in config file. Cant verify completely that it works.

I had a turtle beach z300 and this one puts out better sound, more bass. The range is slightly further witch is nice since it wont cut out going up and down the stairs. The battery life doesnt seem to be the rated 10 hours. My turtle beach lasted what seems like forever compared to this one. This is still a quality headset for 100 bucks especially compared to the z300 since it has a price of 250 when i bought it. Highly recommend!!

This is my second G930 in the last 3 or 4 yrs. I use it primarily for gaming, and the surround sound works as expected--not spectacular, but as expected of simulated surround feature. The volume is not overwhelming at the loudest setting. Quality is ok for music. Two of my peeves: 1. it cuts out quite often, especially when the device is low on power; (range does not matter) 2. the pivot joint on the headband is off a plastic construction, and is a bit flimsy. my previous one died because one side broke at the pivot point due to cracked plastic construct. other than that, the faux leather padding would peel and fall off after about 1 year of use if you perspire much around your ears. overall: it's a reliable device, and does what it is designed to do.

I bought these to have at my office and I am not disappointed. The sound quality is great, plus they work great with VoIP calls as well. So no more swapping between quality headphones and the work-provided telephone headset. Battery life is good, and I have noticed is dependent on the volume & type of music you listen to. For instance, music with a lot of loud bass, will make the headphones "work" harder and battery life shorter. Whereas if you listen to talk radio at a reasonable volume, the battery seems to last forever.

I love the fact that it is wireless and I have been able to travel all over my two story house without issue. It is compfortable. I wear them all day for work and most nights for watching TV and movies. The sound is good and the mic works well as people do not have a hard time hearing me. I like the fact that when the mic is up it mutes me, though a co-worker of mine does not like this feature. Those are the pros. The cons: I had to return the first headset as the mic would not stay in the up (mute) position. It was 4 days after the return policy even with my elite status. I had purchased the warranty. Other than the mic falling, my other complaint was that there was no way of knowing when the battery may be low (or at least I should say there was no very obvious way of knowing this. I would just be listening to something or in the middle of a call when it would just shut off. I would turn it back on for a moment and then it would shut off. The only mic mute indicator is on the end of the mic, so if the mic is up you can not see if it is muted. You should not have to worry about that as up is muted right? Except there is mute button on the headset that may accidently unmute you (or at least that is how my OCD mind works) I am on my second pair and will give it a try. Hoping this one is better!

I bought this a while ago and am still using it. Occasionally the software will act up a bit in Windows 7, but I'm constantly playing games or listening to music with these and it works well for that.

Found these on sale and decides to pick them up. Very good mic clarity. The 7.1 surround is decent. Wireless capabilities leave a bit to be desired. Battery lasts up to 8 hours on a full charge.

The headset I received from Best Buy online puts out good sound, especially with you use the 7.1 channel option during gaming, but the issues that I have (and many others) is that the headset shuts off automatically after about 15 minutes and even when the wireless usb signal thing is next to you, it still will lose connection every so often. The auto off is a pain because there is no option to extend the time on the software that is used for the headset. I would recommend this headset, but with caution to what some of the issues are.

Excellent headset with good battery life, crisp sound quality, and an excellent mic. When not well charged there were a few instances where the sound would cut out for a few seconds.

For the heavily discounted price that these are often for sale for at BB and other places it is a great PC gaming headset. The mic mutes just by swinging the boom up. They feel well constructed but are rather heavy and can weigh on the top of your head so that could be uncomfortable for some. They do have simulated surround but only with specific Logitech software. They will work with PS4 as I tested but they are very very quiet and cannot be made louder when used with PS4. The volume range is great when set up with a PC in Windows. The buttons are actually useful as they are large and easily found by touch which is nice and the volume is a large roller. There is a light at the end of the mic boom that tells you if you are muted or not if you use the manual mute button. If you don't need a ton of bells and whistles but want a good wireless headset for PC gaming this should get the job done specifically if you can catch it on sale in the sub 80 dollar range as it tends to be sometimes.
