These headphones are amazing when it comes to sound quality and comfort. I wasn't attracted to it for the surround sound, which i have to say leaves me wanting, but there's technically only so much you can do with stereo drivers.
The main reason i got these headphones is because they are wireless. Ill never look back - the freedom of movement is fantastic...no cords to get caught up in. The range is pretty good, although i dont really walk around the house with them on that frequently. Battery life averages about 9hrs form full charge. One concern i had initially was having read a review somewhere that they wireless frequency is not enough to transmit the 7.1 data as well as mic data - absolute rubbish! I use it in that configuration all the time and it works 100%.
They are well manufactured and are not flimsy at all. They will last a good long time.
The only little problem ive had with these are that the Logitech Gaming Software sometimes struggles to identify the unit, and it requires a sequence of unplugging the USB receiver, restarting the software and turning on the headphones. Rather annoying at times since i utilize them on more than one PC, but if you dont have this situation: once the software has detected the unit it seems to stay connected without problem.
In short, im very happy, and would purchase these again.

Great over ear headphones

I've had these headphones for four months and have enjoyed them tremendously. They are very comfortable and have excellent sound. The audio localization is awesome in games. The microphone quality is also very good. Wireless range is excellent - I still get audio on the other side of my house, about 15 meters away.
My only difficulty with these headphones is that I developed a quirky bug in which the wireless USB would intermittently disconnect and reconnect on its own. This became rather disruptive. This is apparently a hardware bug that has been discussed on support sites, and Logitech is in the process of replacing them at no cost to me. They immediately offered me a replacement as soon as I described the problem. (For you doubters, I did try turning off all of the competing wireless sources in the area and was unable to reduce the problem.)
I would buy these again.

Shotty software, great headset

I was recommended this headset by a few of my friends online and they all loved the wireless feature, sound, and Mic quality. I gave it a shot.
I purchased the headset and loved it at first. It for great and the hardware quality was great like my friends said. But after a month the headset would turn off by itself even when fully charged. It did this every 30 seconds or so. I was so frustrated but I didn't want to return the headset due to software issues. I downloaded OLD software off of some forum website (because not just me had this problem) and it stopped turning off. I no longer could use the g keys to talk while away from my desk though, so the wireless function seemed pointless.
All in all you can gamble it if you want but your hardware might not communicate with logitechs shotty software. Everyone complains about the software and at least 2 of my friends have had the same issue as me. You could maybe fix this problem by exhanging headsets, but the problem could always come back. I just exchanged mine for a corsair (not the wireless). It was really a shame for me because I loved it before the software messed it up.

I was concerned when I looked at the reviews for Windows 7 64 bit compatibility, on Dec 15 2011 Logitech released 8.20.74 drivers for these, and I have had no problems, the drivers even fixed my G15 keyboard working with iTunes too! playing Skyrim with these is amazing, also music is fantastic, range is as advertized and battery life is 8+ hours, got them on sale for 40$ off so I used the money I saved for the 2 year protection plan to avoid any possible durability issues. I use these in my living room where others watch TV and movies, now I cant even hear the TV, I just feel the bass from the surround sound. If you want a wireless headset, there are none better for this price range.

Great sound, but some connection problems

This headset has great sound and is very comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. I use mine for online meetings and for gaming. I only ran into trouble with it when I got a new Asus Wireless AC router that had a strong signal, and the headset started dropping the connection for a couple seconds at a time. That connection drop would happen a few times an hour. I tried all of the tricks mentioned online, but I ended up having to move the wireless router into a different room, as I was within 6ft of it before, and according to Logitech, that's too close to anything else that produces a wireless signal. Since moving the router to a different room, it seems to be working good again.

Well, after weeks of research I settled on these headphones. I looked at Sennheiser, Bose, Skullcandy, and these seemed to be the ones with the best reviews. I've only had them a day, and I did purchase a set of Skullcandy headphones for my iPod, but they can't hold a candle to these. The sound is amazing, downloaded the newest software from Logitech, had them programmed and running in minutes. Charge time looks to be between 8 and 10 hours. Extremely comfortable, great range, amazing sound. Literally, sounds like you're surrounded by speakers. I love 'em. Well worth the money, and Logitech can't be beat. Stop your obsessing over the websites and reviews like I did and just buy these!!!

I bought 3 of these headsets to use for my employees in a call center. They worked well for a couple weeks, then had issues with them randomly shutting off and cutting in and out during calls. We did all the recommended trouble shooting, and that didn't work. I wouldn't recommend this model, only because we had issues with all 3 headsets.

This purchase was my fourth purchase of this headset. They break very easily. I purchase the warranty each time and when I return them I get a brand new pair. I did not buy the warranty this last time because I will switch to another brand when these break in a few weeks.

Great Sound, Not Very Comfortable for Smaller head

I wear a size small/medium ball cap and even on the smallest setting it felt like these were too big. The cups over the ears also seemed to be too big - kind of felt like the were creeping down my neck. The sound, however, is incredible. Bass is perfect and the volume control on the side is helpful. I also dig the mute options - button on left ear or raise the boom mic. The sound did cut out a couple of times but I think that's because the receiver was too close to other electronics. Once I moved it away to a bare spot on my desk it seemed to work fine. Overall, this is a better than average headset, but would only recommend if you have a larger head.

Cannot multitask with this headset. I cannot have music playing while I play a game, or play a video on my second monitor while surfing the net because if the audio source is not the active window the audio gets staticky. I've used my roommates headset and my Bluetooth speakers and my audio works fine it is just this headset.

Not worth the money

This headset suffers from random disconnects, glitchy software to where it fails to connect until you reinstall or restart the computer. Most importantly, anytime there is bass in the audio, there is a severe distortion affect even when using professional equalizers.
I test many headsets using the American horror story intro, because it has a high amount of bass. If you try playing that intro on this headset, it sounds ridiculously bad. Even if you turn off surround sound, the issue still occurs.
After trying to fix my issue, I simply just bought another headset from a different company and I will never be going back to Logitech.
If you don't care about bass quality, then this headset is great but get the cheaper version. There's no need to spend $60 for G keys when most of the time they don't even work in the games you use. Plus the cheaper version is wired only, and that has higher quality. There's no way to force this headset to wired.
The company also disabled preamp modifications to the equalizer due to European laws, despite the fact that the device is sold in America on installed in an American machine,

Headset constantly disconnects and reconnects. It seems to be a known issue but still for years, Logitech has not come with a solution to the issue. I am very very disappointed with these and really wish I hadn't gotten them. When I spend good money on a headset, I expect them to work.

Great headphones but limited durability

I love these headphones for sound quality, comfort, usability, and convenience. I dislike these headphones for durability. Cracks will develop around the four screws above the ear cups. The micro usb connector will eventually stop recharging like it should. I made a youtube video on how to repair the usb connector, search my name on YouTube for the video. I will be buying another pair eventually despite the flaws. Mine have lasted 3 years with a little bit of repairs. The positives outweigh negatives.

They are terrible. For one thing they are made for small heads like little kids. I've returned three times and finally replaced with different ones. Company even stated they break due to plastic parts and they don't give. They changed this going forward.

The battery stopped holding a charge and there were problems with the headphones working as they should. Had bought the extended warranty on these, and got the same model. Hoping the first set was a dud and this does not happen all over again!!

Not Bad But Not Great Either

The sound here is ok but nothing to write home about.
It looks cheap but it is hefty and solid feeling, which was a nice surprise. Aesthetically it looks typical to most headsets, the mic lights up when muted but that's the only real "bling" to the aesthetics.
The layout I have quibbles with.... The right ear cup has nothing on it, a few G buttons might have been nice addition The left ear cup has a scroll bar for the volume that is nice the G buttons could be textured for easier identification, and the power and surround buttons could stick out a bit more.
The only major complaint I have is with the recessed mini usb port which can be a pain when trying to plug in if you're in a hurry to charge the unit.
A couple of other notes: This comes with a hockey sized puck with 2 usb cords, one to connect your PC and the other used to charged the head phones. There is also a USB port on the puck to plug in the wireless receiver dongle. I suspect you could plug the dongle directly into your PC, but I have yet to test that. I would also imagine you could use a stand alone USB cord to charge the headphones but I haven't tested that either.
Overall, for the price, this is a good choice for gaming headset but if you have extra money you might opt for something with better sound.
