Great sound and battery Life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best wireless headset I have owned. Battery life is around 8 to 10 hours and it works as advertised. I was surprised at the surround sound and that it worked through a set of headphones but when playing games that support surround sound you can tell where the sound is coming from. Comes with a well designed charging cable that has a built in USB port/cable housing mid way through the cable. You can wrap the cable into the tracks on the housing and plug the dongle into the port when in use. Works on both my Windows and Linux systems.

Wonderful Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I kept reading reviews that people were having all sorts of software problems and what not. I didnt have any. The software installed like butter and after that, it was good. I edited the sound settings with ease and was set to go. The sounds are rich and the base is amazing. This is the first headset i have found where it ACTUALLY sounds like surround sound. I have tried many many wireless things and I always hated them. Buggy, glitchy, non-responsive, but this is non of that. I never get dropped sound and i can walk around every room of my house and not lose signal. Wonderful product and I would reccommend this to anyone. The only poopy side is that i wear glasses and it makes it kind of uncomfortable after long periods of time, but that isnt a reason to take away a star. I can see where the durability can be weak. I have dropped it once on carpet, but there was no harm to it. The ear-piece adjustments are the weak point in this headset, so just be careful in those areas. Overall, i love this headset and im so glad i decided to go with it.

Good headset for a beginner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: I like the snug and comfortable fit that the Logitech G930 offers. I can wear this for extended periods of time with zero issues. Because it covers up the entire ear, it does get a bit warm, so you will want to let your ears to get some fresh air to cool off. If you are someone who wears prescription glasses, and have the wire frame style, this headset will be an excellent fit. Unfortunately, I cannot speak for those with different style of glasses. The sound and music quality is there to an extent. You have vibrant, sharp and clarity. Unfortunately, while the Logitech G930 offers surround sound, it is obvious that it's stereo and not quadraphonic. This was one of the largest changes that I am having to deal with. For a few years, I was using the Creative World of Warcraft wireless headset. It offered many things and the sound quality was one large quality I enjoyed. Comparing the Logitech G930 to the Creative WoW headset in sound quality, you will notice a large difference. Good for Creative, bad for Logitech. The sounds are just completely different - BUT they are clear, crisp and vibrant. So far, I enjoy this headset, but I am also considering trying out the Steel Series headset that my Best Buy store had in stock. I was comparing the Logitech G930 to the Steel Series, which both pair were $99, but you also have a 15 day period to return if you're not 100% satisfied (at least for my store) with receipt & ID. The mic might not be retractable, but I am able to raise it up and you cannot notice it's there - mine does not fall down like some others have reported. The microphone is easily flexible and you can bend it to however you like. I am not using the extra buttons on the left side (yet) but maybe I will someday? I like the fact that while these are wireless, I can keep the power cord plugged into the headset for continuous power. The adjustable sides of the headset are very, very durable! The old WoW headset did not boast such a nice feature and easily broke - which is what lead me to purchase the G930 headset. If you are looking for durability, the G930 is your go-to headset. Cons: The sound difference of the G930 and the Creative WoW wireless headset was a huge difference for me. I much rather enjoyed the sound quality that the WoW headset offered versus the G930. The microphone is not retractable, but that is OK with me. If you want a retractable one, then you should look at a Razer headset or some other name brand. The volume adjustment - wow. Using my old WoW headset, I had my volume raised to 20%. With the G930, I am now upwards of 50% or higher, depending on what it is I'm doing. Gaming, or watching movies - if there are quiet parts in movies, or if you are listening for movement...you better get ready to turn up the volume. While the headset does cover your entire ear blocking sound from outside the headset -- you still need to listen carefully and turn your volume up. Regarding the rechargeable power cord "pack", I absolutely do not like the fact that you are forced to use the Logitech spindle. It's nice that you are able to keep cords in neat orderly fashion, but comparing the G930 to my old WoW headset, I did not have any plastic circular "thing" just sitting there. The power cord ran from the headset directly to my PC. But with the G930, the cord runs from your headset, to this spindle, and from the spindle, to your PC. Luckily for me, with the way my desk is designed, I have it hidden, so you cannot really see it unless you are looking for it. Other than that, be prepared because this will stick out like a sore thumb. You can plug the USB blue tooth device into the plastic spindle, or directly into your PC - at least Logitech gave you that much of a choice. All in all, I wanted to try this headset out first and so far I enjoy it and if I were Logitech, I would make some changes to this headset. One of them being the quality of sound/music which is a huge change in my opinion; while the rest of the changes I can live with.

LOVE this headset!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this pair last Christmas as a gift, and have LOVED them from the moment they were installed. I use them for a combination of online gaming, music production, and Skype. The microphone quality is awesome and clear and the sound quality of the speakers is (in my opinion) top notch. The microphone arm is encased in a SLIGHTLY adjustable rubber sleeve. I like that you can either mute the mic with a button or by flipping the microphone all the way up (with a little light to let you know that you're muted). Mine started to tear close to the headset because I was a little rough with it and kept falling asleep in them. yes, i said FALLING ASLEEP IN THE HEADPHONES These things were beyond comfortable for me. They weren't as comfortable when I was wearing my glasses, so if you are a no-contacts person, this headset may become uncomfortable pretty fast. They do hug your head, like other reviewers say, but I didn't find them too tight. They had plenty of room for my ears and didn't pinch or press anywhere. My fiance has the same pair and we have very differently sized heads and ears and we both love this headset. Another neat feature of these headphones is the little switch on the back by the power button that lets you choose between surround sound and simple stereo. really nice if you're watching a movie, mixing tracks, or even shooting zombies. Sadly, my pair stopped charging because the charger port got loose on the inside (again, probably due to my falling asleep in the headphones on Skype) so I'm out to buy another pair just like it. Also, the voice altering settings in the software are pretty fun to play with.

Not Too Shabby, But Avoid Logitech Software
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These provide good sound quality as well as decent performance overall as a PC gaming headset... Assuming you do NOT use the Logitech gaming software. Using the Logitech gaming software resulted in the headset losing its connection every 10-15 minutes during a live stream. Using the headset with its plug-and-play drivers resulted in over an hour on live stream without a single hiccup. While the Logitech gaming software DOES allow you to adjust more advanced features to get more bang out of your buck on the headset, it's not worth the headache of headset disconnects.

good headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.so I've been using this headset for awhile now.. seems to be the only thing I use unless I want to lay down. sound quality in my opnion could be better, but it's pretty good either way and I just say that because I'm an audiophile.. If I really wanted high fidelity surround I should get a speaker system. pretty comfortable (I tend to wear it all day) even though it's bulky and like I said good unless you want to lay down or something. the G keys are a nice touch and the boom arm mic is pretty nice including the mute ability when you put it in the upright position(also has a mute button on the left side). I'd even have to say the virtual surround is pretty good(it's very easy to pinpoint where sound is coming from in video games). overall I'd say this is a pretty good product even though I think logitech could do better with this, with how well they make their other products.. but other than that, fantastic

Best. Headset. Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying that I am a tech-head. I have owned alot of great headsets in the past, both for console gaming and for PC gaming. I plugged in this headset, it installed just fine, with no problems. Running Windows 7, 64 bit, is no problem with concern to this headset. The range is absolutely amazing. Logitech did an excellent job as well making them really really comfortable, as I've worn them for periods of 5+ hours. The voice mod stuff is fun to mess around with, and the 3 buttons are perfect, just gotta remember which is one and which is three, as there are no indicators just by feel alone. I've tested this headset with Ventrillo, and it works like a pro, and I've also tested it with MMO's and FPS's. All worked beautifully. Further, one can, with relative ease, change the various volumes for what they want to hear more, IE you can make it so Vent voices of others dont come through as prominently as the game volume. I cant think (again this coming from a tech-head# of one bad thing about this headset, which I've owned now for about 2 weeks. I can honestly say that until this breaks down #which its Logitech.... its gonna take a WHILE# I dont plan on buying another headset. Lastly, my internet #which is wireless to my PC# is not in any way, shape, or form affected by the use of this headset. For all my gaming needs: Logitech and Triton #headset for consoles) is my number one choice. Thanks Logitech, for a great headset.

Perfect for the PC Gamer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best overall (surround sound) pc wireless gaming headset I've ever had. I'd say the Astro A40s have a bit better surround sound but they are wired which accounts for the tad bit better audio quality. The plus side to this headset is no mic problems (two malfunctioned with the astros I owned). The program beeps to let you know your low on battery and the charge life is about 8 hours which is good. One of the most important aspects of the headset besides the quality, durability, and price is the comfort. Ive worn this headset for hours on end and my ears aren't sore at all. If you game and use headsets everyday then get these.

Better than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this headset just hoping it would be comfortable and sound decent. The sound quality and surround is outstanding. This headset is extremely comfortable, even after wearing for 4+ hours. I have had no interference and the range is great. You can use them while they are charging plugged if you forget to charge beforehand. I would buy again.

Great for Gamers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I play video games on my PC very frequently, and I need a good headset with a good microphone so I can communicate with my party members. The sound is amazing. It sounds good on surround sound or without. Im told I sound clear and good on my microphone as well, which is important. I generally use the headset for World of Warcraft and Ventrilo. I have used it with Skype and found that it works very well with Skype and I am usually streaming music while im talking to people and playing a game, and the headset handles all of that very well. The only complaint I have is the top of the headset has a little too much plastic and not enough cushion which can make it uncomfortable if not angled just right, otherwise, the headset is very comfortable around the ears. The battery life is very nice as well, although the alert that lets you know when it is running low is not really loud enough and sometimes I miss the notification.

headphones nice, software not
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.start off my saying i'm a hard core pc gamer. headphones are nice and comfortable to ware for a long period of time. sound is great and it's always nice to be able to get up to get food or pop w/o having to worry about cords. that being said the software is junk. logitech has no fix for it and has been an issue for about 1-2 years. some fixes work and some don't. my advice is to go to a corsair, or asus ROG. logitech has lost all of my respect as a PC gamer and will never see another dime from me.

5Great headset, comfortable, easy to use...love th
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.--What I love and why:-- Wireless - Coming from someone who has always had a wired headset I can't tell you how much I LOVE being able to get up, go to the kitchen, bathroom, etc etc without removing my headphones or having to worry about tripping over the wire. Surround sound button - I have always had cheap headphones that do not have great sound. Awesome sound was never a priority to me. Now that I have the 7.1, I don't think I could go back. It makes a noticeable difference in just about everything I do from gaming, to teamspeak, to music. "G Buttons" - These things are just plain handy people. I assign one button to my teamspeak hotkey, one button to play/pause on youtube, and one button to my "soundswitch" which flips the sound from my headset to my speakers and back. Yes, that means I can still talk on teamspeak while in the kitchen, which rocks. Volume rocker - Also handy --What I dislike and why:-- Flipping between speakers and headphones - With my old setup, I put a splitter on the back of my PC that I could plug my analog headphones and speakers into, making them both play the same sound, at the same time, all the time. With the G930, since it is USB, the computer is unable to do this and forces you to switch "default" devices between the headphones and speakers. I got a program that does this quickly but I wish this wasn't the case. Would like some more charge time - I have had the "low battery" indicator sound during my gameplay, which sucks because that means I have to take them off and plug it in. It is not that bad because then they just turn into the wired headphones I'm used to for a little while. Keep in mind some of my gaming sessions are 6+ hours long with constant use of mic and speakers. Also I will give logitech credit for the quick recharge time...these babys go from 0 charge to full charge in an hour or so im my experience #and that is while you are still using them# Noise canceling - This is probably a "pro" to most people, but to me this is annoying. The G930s are very, very, good at canceling out background noise. So good, it is to the point where I slide them partly off my ear often just so I can hear if anyone is burglarizing the room down the hall. I can't even hear my dog sneaking up on me. Like I said, this is a good thing to most, to me not so much. -- SO give me the tl;dr version, get to the point, final comments:-- These headphones rock. They are worth the money. Wireless is amazing, surround sound is amazing, they live up to their hype, and they are a awesome value for what you're getting.

Great Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to be all about Razer products... that's until I picked up a pair of these bad boys. This heaset will blow your mind, 7.1 Surround sound is amazing, Mic quality is phenomenal, I love the wireless aswell I can walk into my kitchen while still talking to my friends on skype. I instantly fell in love with the G930's as soon as I put them on. These things are so comfortable, when I wear them for long periods of time it doesn't even feel like they are on my head! I am definetly sticking with Logitech products from now on... bye bye Razer.
