What a great headset. The audio quality is top-notch even from 15 feet away! Playing multiplayer games has never been the same. Very comfortable, doesn't squeeze your head, but rests well against your ears. The best part of this set is being able to charge them as you're playing.

    Best headset in the World!

I don't usually write reviews, but when I do it's because I love the product. This headset has amazing sound and voice quality. Additionally, they are extremely comfortable. The initial set up was a breeze, just put disc, install, and connect. That's it! You'll be listening to 7.1 surround sound in no time. They might be a bit expensive, but trust me when I say you will get your money's worth. If your looking for a wireless, surround sound, amazing voice, and stylish headset, stop here because you have found it!! If you don't believe me take a look on YouTube for some reviews, I guarantee you will see nothing but positive reviews. =D

I've been looking for a great wireless headset for quite some time now. All the ones I've found either had short battery life, horrible mic, and/ or you couldn't use them while they were plugged in and they almost all cost $100+. This set headphones has atleast 8+ hours of battery realistically and i even get 10 hours out of it sometimes. Best part in my opinion is that you can have it plugged in with about a 12 foot cord on a spindle that will not only power the headset but also let you use it at the same time! That is what sold me on these. Not to mention voice morphing, controllable pitch and the rather nice 7.1 surround headphones that sound amazing!!! The only downfall to this headset is that the bass is good on them but definitely not great. If you're looking for that boom boom boom it gets to be a little much and isnt the best quality if you crank them all the way up, still great sounding if you keep it at a moderate level though. Last but not least the mic is great in how you can bend it the way you want it but it's not the best mic int he world for recording or anything, not bad though either.

I bought these and ended up giving them to my roommate who has bigger ears. I can't play with these on for hours like I can with my turtle beach ones, but the sound quality is much better on these. The distance you can walk away and still function is also much longer. The battery life on these is fantastic too. I only have to charge one or twice a week and I use them 30-40 hours a week.

    Driver Issues

I was excited the Logitech G930's were finally on sale, I have been needing a new headset for a long time. I have the Logitech G35's but wanted a wireless headset. So naturally I chose the 930's. I have heard issues with the drivers being somewhat buggy. Which I can say is now true. I charged the headset to a full charge. Then I began to game and about 5 min into it the headset would cut out. Not just a few seconds but a min or two. Weird, so I uninstalled drivers, restarted computer, installed drivers. Still same problem. Pretty upset these didn't live up to expectations. I gave two stars because they are ridiculously comfy.

I got these as a replacement for my Corsair headset, as they were out of stock. I had really good results, at first. But after a few months of use, the battery life began to quickly diminish, and I started getting a few dead spaces in sound. It was pretty infrequent, so I brushed it off as an annoyance. I have had these for 8 months now, and the audio is now cutting out very frequently. When it started happening it was usually once or every battery charge. Now it is 5-10 times an hour. The audio only cuts for a few seconds, but it is really annoying while gaming. They are very comfortable, and when the sound is working I really like them. But in their current condition, I would not recommend these. This problem has been widely reported.

    Hit and Miss Headset

I have had several pairs of this headset model and all failed in under the warranty limit.Sadly I had also already bought 2 others for friends but going into detail of what you should look out for. 1. These headsets sit very tight around your ears so if you are a hard core gamer it will take time to adjust but not a major problem. 2. These headsets may have a swivel break if you are not careful with them or drop them but overall are really sturdy headsets. 3. MAJOR tech issues with this headsets and it includes some hardware! [Connection issues] Your headset might have issues randomly dc all of my headsets started doing this in less then 1 year use. [Speaker] One of the headsets had a earphone failing. [Microphone] It is made of this rubber that if you are constantly on voice I recommend almost never adjusting because it will eventually ware off and break. The rubber without much effort just deteriorates! As a result I ended up using up my warranty and returning this headset sadly so far it has been the BEST JUNK by far compared to other worse wireless headsets. You might get a good batch and have a good working headset for a while. I game 4hrs+ so need a sturdy headset that can handle being used for what it was meant for GAMING. Note one of my friends has a broken swivel and the other is already having connection issues after a little over a year use of this model headset. Overall I suggest if you will be a casual user of this headset. This might be a good deal headset if you can afford another headset of more better quality go for it but for the headsets around the same price as this.. I recommend this headset!

    Logitech G930 Wireless Headsets

I just picked this up few days ago after trying out 2 other headsets. My first choice was Afterglow Wireless Gaming Headsets, I really liked this one, however the headset is very heavy and it's designed for kids, so it's really tight on your head. I couldn't use it for more then 30min. My second choice was TurtleBeach PX3, this one was really light, but the ear covers were small for my ears and it stopped working after using the programming function. My third choice was this G930 headset and this one was the best out of the three. Not too heavy, ear covers are big enough to fit my ears, easy to install by simply plugging in one USB adapter, dolby 7.1 surround sound, i couldn't ask for more. Only downside is that it costs about $60-$70 more then the other two, it doesn't have the music aux input for ipods/mp3 players, and it's also designed for PC use only, no xbox or PS3. If you are looking for PC headset, no xbox or PS3, I recommend you to buy this one for little more price.

    Connection issues

Apparently these headphones across the board have issues with staying connected. They feel good, sound good, but I'm constantly having to turn them back on. I searched for fixes and one is to not run the software. This seemed to help, but has not completely fixed the issue. Returning these today.

I purchased this item approximately 18 months ago. I always use an item for a long while before postng a review ... unless the item fails me very early in its use. Anyway; The headphones are aewsome! I've had no issues with them whether they are plugged in or going wireless. They are very cofortable even if when having them on for a few items at a time, the sound is great, and they are very good at blocking out most of the sounds around you. The only negative issue I have found is with the microsphone's mute. If the microphone is lifted to it's mute level before you power the headset off, when you turn the headset back on, the mic is no longer muted even if the light is on indicating it is muted. You must move the mic down, then back up to it's muted position to mute it again. A very minor inconvenience, and something I can easily live with. I can't think of a better headset.

    My Honest Opinion: Logitech G930

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The G930 is my first USB Headset. I've been using an older set of wired Sony Headphones that connects to a 3.5mm jack (used the port on my Logitech Z-5500 Control Pod). Since this is a USB Headset, it bypasses your Sound Card and uses the built in sound inside the headset. The connection is pretty straight forward. The charging disk has a USB port on top that you plug the USB Transmitter into so you don't have to use up two USB ports on your computer (although you can do that too if you want). Before I bought this, I tested out the Turtle Beach Headsets that many people gave great reviews on... but every single one of those were too small for my head.. they were about an inch too short at maximum length. The Logitech G930 not only fit... the length could be extended another couple of inches. So even if you're a giant, it will still fit very comfortable with your ears fitting INSIDE the cups. There are two versions of the software you can install. The one that comes with the disk is very basic with drivers that aren't that great, I think. If you go to Logitech's Website, search for this headset and download the updated software. If you already own other logitech products like a keyboard.. it will integrate/consolidate all into one single master suite that controls all your Logitech Hardware, which is nice. One problem I detected is switching between the headset and desktop speakers. As I stated, I already have the Z-5500 Digital 5.1 speakers. I had a hard time figuring out how to switch between my audio devices. The only way to do it in Windows is to go to control panel and select either your Speakers or Headset as your default device. Then the audio will switch. That seemed like an awful lot of trouble. I checked the internet and found that you could just UNPLUG the USB transmitter from the base and the audio will automatically default back to your speakers. However, I don't think that's a good idea because it can cause wear and tear on the port and the transmitter itself. Fortunately, I found a free "third party" program that will easily switch your audio devices with two quick click. It's called SOUNDSWITCH just search for it on Google and you'll find it.. it seems to be the best program for switching between USB Headsets and Speakers. Finally, a few people commented on the build quality... saying it's all plastic... easily breakable... or needs a charging stand/dock. Well.. these are $100 speakers! If you want an all metal Headset or a Docking Stand, you're going to have to pay extra. There are lots of expensive headsets out there... you can't buy something inexpensive and expect it to come with all the "bells and whistles". As far as sound.. with the software that came with the headset on the CD, it didn't seem very loud. I pretty much had to raise the volume up all the way on both the headset AND in Windows. However, when I downloaded the newer software from the Logitech Website... it seemed to give it a richer audio sound. I also switched from the Bass/Treble controls and turned on the Advanced EQ and set it match the EQ setting I use with my Sound Blaster X-Fi Card (I use the POP setting, which gives music, games and movies the best sound I think). Well, the sound is much louder and richer. Oh, before I forget... don't forget to go into your control panel and set up the headset in audio properties. Windows will list this as a 7.1 system, but you have to UNCHECK rear and center speakers in the configuration so the sound will come out correctly. It will still work and will still give you 7.1 simulated sound... I had to play around with it to get this working with Starcraft 2 since I originally didn't have any sound when I started up the game. Well, for the price... it's about the best wireless headset you can buy. Don't forget to install an Audio Switching program if you like to switch between the headset and speakers....

Sometimes I would have to restart my computer multiple times for it to work. I'm not exactly tech savvy so this can be frustrating. Also it would automatically shut off while I'm using it every 18 minutes. Only worked while I was playing a game, couldn't use it on internet explorer to listen to music on YouTube. I might be doing something wrong probably better for someone more experienced so they can figure it out easier. But it does have really good sound for the most part.

The headphones worked great for a few months, then I began having problems with battery and connectivity to the headphones. The Bad: Half the time the sound adjustment scroll doesn't work, which is a horrible design in my opinion, I'd rather have buttons to adjust my sound. The power button is annoying to access on the side of the headphones, having to hold it down to power on and off gets annoying after awhile.. Towards the end of its life, it has been prone to sudden disconnects, a complete inability to turn on and function after several to a days worth of charging, and breaking down of its parts. The mic almost snapped off when I went adjust it the wrong way. The part of the charging cord attaching to the headphones has worn out, and I had to tape it to keep it together, having to bend it at odd angles to get a charge. I couldn't tell the difference between the 7.1 surround and the normal headphones mode. The Good: They were comfortable, and for the short time they worked in optimal condition, they were awesome. I could tell the sound quality was good, compared to other headphones. The mute button is a great feature, alongside that of when the mic boom is raised it mutes it.

    Best wireless gaming headset around!

I needed a nice headset for my gaming rig and checked around everywhere. I like to watch movies, listen to music and play games. I first bought the Logitech G35 which is the wired version of this model (almost). I really liked the G35 minus the stiff and unmanageable cable. I ended up getting this the same day and It is perfect! Movies/music/games sound amazing! I fired up the movie Saving Private Ryan and explosions and gun shots were coming from every direction. Watching movies is a joy with these. The wireless range is also really great. It goes anywhere in my room and even beyond. The volume control is right on the headset which is very convenient. The only downside is this headset is not cheap. With that said I wish I would have got this model first before trying all the others I tried (Razer,Plantronics etc).

I have owned this headset for about a year and a half now and it has never let me know. The quality of the sound is definitely up to logitech standards and the surround sound is very realistic. It was very easy to set up with the provided CD and the webiste made it a breeze to update. My only gripe is that it is a little fragile and isn't the type of headphones you want to throw around. I dropped it a couple times on my bedroom floor and now the sound goes in and out on the right side. Mind you, this is my fault and not logitech's, and luckily i purchased the warranty from geek squad and got it replaced. Good wireless quality, battery lasts 8 hours for me with heavy use and is very nice to use while gaming and watching movies wihout any cords getting in the way or snagging!

In my opinion these headsets are borderline perfect for the price. Installation is simple, sound quality is great, durability feels good, great program to work with, and best of all these are so comfortable. I'm pretty convinced that these will comfortably fit almost any size/shaped head, as their design allows for an easy flexible contour. On top of that, the ear pieces themselves engulf your ears, blocking out most ambient noise, for a more immersive experience. No better headset within this price range.
