Purchased this product yesterday and I am a firm believer that this is the best gaming headset available. The software that comes with it is awesome ! Many features that are very useful in gaming and work ! Being wireless just adds to the fun and flexibility, The 7.1 Dolby is great ! It is expensive but worth every penny :) Would Highly recommend.

This headset is AWESOME!! Great sound and fun to tinker with. I use it for work when taking phone calls then use it for playing my games as well. The 7.1 surround sound built into the headset is great, you can actually hear the different directions sounds should be coming from.

In all seriousness. This head set is awesome. Took only a min to install the drivers and have it set up and ready to go on your computer. The battery life is crazy good, it even auto shuts off when not in use. just keep it plugged in at night and you have all day to have fun! As far as the wireless goes. I been able to goto the basement of my house, from the second story, and still get reception! The sound quality is awesome, voice chat is crystal clear. Before I was unable to talk with the fan blowing on the mic, do to the loud noise it made, but this with mic, I have zero sound issue with the fan. Only two problems I have came across. One, is the loudness of the mic keeps getting reset to max if the headset turns off, and the "G" key on the side of the headset does not work for push to talk with vent, Even though there is a option right in the setting to do it. GET THE GEEK SQUAD BLACKTIE PROTECTION! If something ever goes wrong, they just place it! I accidently ran over my wireless USB reciver, and they replaced it, no questions asked. I had to buy a new plan, but 20 bucks is easy to pay when you could get a new headset every 2 years!

As a teacher who records screen casts for my computer science students I loved the freedom of a wireless head set. I like to move a lot. However, even being close to my computer, with a fully charged headset, I screen casted an afternoon of videos for classes that were impossible to understand due to the mike quality. Who would think an expensive wireless gaming headset wouldn't be able to record a screen cast? How do I get a refund? How do I get the time back from my wasted afternoon of screen casting!! No problems with the sound coming to the headphone, ever -- great quality, thus I didn't expect problems with the mike.

I have been using the G Series Headphones since 2009 and they have always worked wonders. I have had this type of headset for about a year. The wireless Signal never breaks up on me and can move very far away compared to other headsets I have tried. The only down fall is they break very easily but this problem is solve by buying the Black tie warranty, I bought a pair of Logitech G36 in 2009 and haen't bought a new pair since, because when they break I just return them and best buy replaces them and even upgraded me to this model when the G36 were not longer in stock

The device started fine, at the start. So good we even bought another one. Eventually, it started disconnecting randomly. I've tried every known fix you can find in the internet, short of opening it up. Nothing worked. It still has this random disconnection problem which I've never had with other products by other brands. It keeps randomly disconnecting to the point of being practically useless. You may be happy with this device right now but give it a few months and see. If you don't want to believe me try searching Google for "My G930 keeps disconnecting" and you'll see it's a prevalent issue that's been there for years and Logitech still keeps selling this P O S despite the issues. I Wish I knew about it before buying it. My Bad. Will never recommend this and warn people about it.

Sound quality is clear. My only real grip about this product is that after wearing it for a while, my ears are sore. I've owned this for now for almost a year and it is still tight on my head.

The only reason I can't give this headset 5 stars is because the logitech gaming software (which I believe you need to have installed to use the surround sound) is incredibly buggy with windows 10, it would take far too long to list all the problems with it but it does impact the functionality of the device, if you don't care about surround sound I would recommend just not installing it, as the headset works just fine without it. Also I couldn't find it stated anywhere that using the surround sound will impact the battery life of the headset pretty significantly, which is something I would have liked to been aware of. Overall a really great quality headset for the price

Good sound/mic but disconnects often & will break

BUY WITH CAUTION So I've had this headset for almost a year now and enjoyed it most of the time. I will say it will disconnect and reconnect randomly, Sometimes i can game 2-3 hours with no issues and then other times it will reconnect 7-10 times in one hour. There is also a MAJOR flaw in the construction of this product. The area that allows the swivel movement is made of plastic and breaks very easily. It seriously doesnt make sense since metal was used in the band... So now less than 1 year in, it constantly just turns off or reconnects. Really annoyed I didnt get the bestbuy warranty. WOULD NOT BUY OR GIFT

They are a great pair of headphones for about the first year. Then the battery starts to dwindle and eventually they are no longer wireless because you have to keep them plugged in or else the wireless disconnects because the battery is done. So keep that in mind when you purchase these. Think my next pair will be wired. Been looking at getting the Kingston Cloud 2 set.

Easy to use. Plug and Play. Has sync issues from time to time. I'm assuming its faulty. Common complain on the Logitech's forums that doesn't have an immediate resolution besides exchanging it.

I have had nothing but trouble with Logitech over the last couple of years. The hardware is great but software has been terrible. I wanted a new set of gaming headphones with surround sound. I was avoiding Logitech due to issues in the past. I decided to give them another try when I saw these headphones. Unfortunately I had the same experience. After installing their Logitech gaming software, it would not recognize the headphones. This is important because without their software these are nothing more than an expensive set of stereo headphones. I reinstalled several times and finally called tech support. Of course its in India somewhere, but when I explained the problem I was told that they know about the issue. He then went on to actually tell me that they MAY update the software by the end of May so I should just wait until then! Its now April 6. Windows 8 and now 8.1 have been out for quite some time, so not supporting a major OS is inexcusable. I drove right back up and returned them. At this price I am planning on the Razer Tiamat 7.1

Took 2 pair of these back to best buy and had to get my money back. Best buy was great about letting me return them. The first set kept cutting out for a few seconds every 10 minutes or so. The 2nd set wouldn't charge at all. I have never had a problem with Logitech products in the past but beware of these. Sound was great the little time they worked.

I LOVE the sound quality and mic quality of this product, but the battery is horrid. I've had 3 of them and after about a week they don't charge for more than 20 min anymore. Online searches reveal that this is a known problem. Sad because it's comfy and sounds great.

    Amazing sound quality...when they work

With 7.1 surround enabled and bass/treble enhancements in the Gaming Software, these headphones were perfect. However, I started noticing frequent drop-outs in the wireless connection. They would happen at random and for no reason, severely lowering their quality. The surround sound switch also did nothing (they were stuck with surround sound enabled, no big deal I guess). The physical connectors holding the earphones to the headband cracked very easily, resulting in holding mine together with electrical tape. Updating drivers and the LGS didn't resolve the disconnect issue, which has been happening for over a year now. The previously harmless problem of the surround sound switch being unresponsive became worse when I noticed that it was working, there was just no difference at all between 7.1 and normal quality. The feature just stopped working. Maybe I just got a bad pair, as I haven't tried other Logitech headsets. Overall, the headphones provide superior sound quality, but the G930's drawbacks outweigh its benefits.

Great headphone if you want to enjoy 7.1 sound at low price. For stereo it is an avg headphone, overall good headset. Only problem is it doesnt stay on my head (it could be just me), a little nod or shake and it easily moves. Despite all that, it is a great buy; I got it at a discounted price :)
