I have an apple TV, cable box, TV, and blu-ray player. I had to condense everything to one remote. Glad I chose this one.
Setup is easy (no guessing codes!). Works great. The only issue is I don't have easy access to 5 second rewind button like the Comcast DVR.
Overall, great remote.

We purchased two of the Logitech Harmony 650 remotes. I am a little disappointed in them. It has a lot of great features (such as the HELP button) but still having difficulties with some functions such as how to play shows we have recorded. Still practicing though- we'll get it!

I have two of these, One for living room and one for bedroom and love it. It takes a bit of time to program your devices, but it is not hard. The step by step instructions make it simple. You might take about 20 minutes to program on computer and work out the kinks, but it is worth it.

This was very easy to program. All I had to do is download the software and plug in the usb with the remote. The next step choose the models of my devices and set my favorite bottoms for the most use devices. I am always hiding it since everyone in the household wants to use my remote.

The functionality of this remote and the idea behind it is great. It works wonderfully for products that are pre-programmed into the software. I have one item (Direct TV Reciever) that was not pre-programmed and had to program each button individually. That was something other than fun.

Have to give my husband credit for this purchase. It is the best remote I've ever used. We have it hooked up to the TV, DVR box, sound bar, & blue tooth DVD. Sorry that I can't comment on setting it up because that was all him. I do know he had to go online and it was a bit tricky/time consuming to get it all figured out. He is very tech and computer savvy.

I love the remote. I love the capability of connecting all of my "gadgets" and don't have to look for other remotes. The only downside, is that the buttons are small, and my husband's large hands and fingers, sometimes hit the wrong button. But the "help" feature solves any slipups.

Programming this guy requires a little logic to follow what you are doing, but it is amazing what you can make it do by "coupling" things together. Once done it makes operating the TV, the satellite receiver, the DVD, the stereo receiver, CD player, and the disc player from one instrument so convenient. I have a drawer full of remotes I don't need.

After doing an internet search of "best universal remotes for senior citizens" I found that the Logitech Harmony 650 was the most economical while having some of the highest user ratings. I purchased this for my grandparents after spending time hooking up their TV, VCR/DVD combo, bluray & satellite tuner only to realize that they had to learn to use four different remotes, one for each device. I found that the Harmony 650 was very easy to program from my laptop and love that you can customize just about everything on this remote. For my grandparents, the most beneficial feature has been the HELP button. It literally asks a series of yes/no questions and troubleshoots whatever it is that's not functioning properly. I can't recommend this remote enough!

The Harmony remote programs easily and is a user friendly device. The screen could be larger and easier to read and the remote occasionally does not sequence correctly through its program to turn on/off all devices. It especially "forgets" to turn the cable box off sometimes.

The Logitech Harmony remote is a great tool for the person looking for a TV remote that can handle multiple platforms. I especially like the self correct feature that allows the remote to assist the user when issues occur regarding the operations of the platforms I use the remote for.

I've not gotten rid of 5 remotes, and have everything not on one device. Easy to set up online... Remote also also help features to make sure it is always working. TV, Bose, and Cable Box seem to all be working faster than before... Will be buying another one for the bedroom...

Replacement for a well used Harmony 650

I have been using the Harmony remotes for several years. This one is a replacement for one that I’ve had for at least 5 years that just quit responding. I felt as though I’d gotten good value out of the old remote and felt as though the price for a new one justified the purchase. You have to program the remote using your computer but that is relatively easy and when the pop up window on the computer says that the programming is finished, all you have to do is point the remote at the device and it works. It does need line of sight to the product you’re controlling so it won’t work on products without a direct view of the products remote sensor but that’s the only draw back and for me that’s not a problem.

I previously had the Harmony 700 it worked for several years and then developed problems that no amount of programming seemed to correct. The 650 was much easier to program since most of the components in my setup were already stored in the program. So far, it works great.

I have owned one before, and after a few years, the buttons were finally falling off due to a ton of abuse to the remote. I purchased the new one and the settings transferred extremely easy to the new remote. Plus the new software that Logitech has out is much easier than the old one. Makes adding home entertainment system device to the remote a cinch!

I really like this remote. It's easy to program and easy to use. Even my wife who does not care for technology appreciates it because it simplifies use of our home system. My only knock is that sometimes a component fails to respond, but the help button usually fixes it.

Very effective as a multi-device replacement remote & simplifies starting or switching activities. Not as elegant as the high-end Harmony remotes, but just as good for day-to-day use. Wish it was a bit cheaper, but certainly head and shoulders above the Logitech competitors.

I bought this to use for my home electronics devises. I had 4 remotes at the time. My TV remote couldn't program my Xfinity Cable Box, or the Blu-ray player. I got the remote and I must confess I thought there was no way I could program it. This thing was so simple to program. I hooked it to my lap top and listed all my devises it worked like a charm.

Gr8 product -the integration of all the devices by creating activities for functions make the use of this remote wonderful. Now if I want to watch a DVD I hit the activity button watch DVD and it turns the TV, Reciever, DVD all to the appropriate connections to work perfectly. All the remotes are gone - just the Logitech is left to use!!

I've been a big fan of the Harmony remotes for awhile. This one is no exception. I've found it is best for the "family" tv/blu-ray setup. It is simpler than the more expensive versions, and is great for just reducing the number of remotes one needs without a ton of the customization that you may want for a more hard core home theater setup.
