I researched many Logitech remotes. I chose this for the value and simplicity. I am still learning some old remote functions on this remote.
This is my second Logitech remote. Great product

I have bought a universal remote before but this is yet the best one ever. Had it for $10.00 less than it was advertised on the store because it was on sale online. Rep was nice to show me the options but this one stood out. Set up was easy. Hook up to my IMac and configure it to my TV model. Was able to select the program's I want to control on My smart TV: Netflix, Facebook etc
Great investment....if it doesn't last then it wouldn't be for the remote but because my beautiful 2 year old uses it as a toy when she lays her hands on it
However, it is not touch screen even though it has a screen for you to see your options before you select from buttons on the side

I have a Harmony One and love it so I got this one for the bedroom. I use a Pioneer receiver, Samsung TV, Apple TV, Samsung Blu Ray Player, and a TIVO Mini. It controls all these devices well. I had a little trouble with the TIVO until I unpaired the remote that comes with it. After that, the Logitech worked fine. I love the simple online setup. Just write down the model numbers of all your devices first before you get started. This model doesn't have a touch screen but uses buttons instead. I find this nice because I don't accidentally touch the screen and cause an unwanted function to occur. The buttons light up when you move the remote for ease of use in the dark. I have used it almost daily for quite a few weeks and the batteries are still going strong. All in all I think it is the best universal remote out there for the money.

We needed a simple but reliable programmable remote for our AV system.
This model is more than capable of doing what we require and was quite simple to program. Good value for the money.

Remote is extremely simple to program and it is comprehensive... I was able to program 5 different devises, and all functions of each devise are available just like the original remote. Impressive. I cannot speak as to durability of product.

Had a refurbished Logitech for 5 years, worked great. Came time to replace it, no problem calibrating for my blue ray, TV and surround sound system. Good remote at a fair price.

Treated myself to one of these for Father's Day. Cannot believe how well it works! I will be buying myself another for the basement entertainment room as well. Handles my TV, DVR, Bluray and Soundbar w/out any issues at all. I love it.

I've had many remotes but none have worked as well as this one. Set up through their website is straightforward. Some buttons on the unit are smaller than I'd like but you do get accustomed to them. Well priced for what it is...

I got this on a black Friday sale so the price was excellent. I have bought “universal” remotes before, but this one is truly universal (or at least for everything I use it for i.e. TV/Sound System/ Cable Box/ music system). No problems whatsoever setting it up. Just have to think of what you want it to do and when you want it to do it and then program that information into the computer. After setting it up and you watch TV for the first time, the remote will actually ask you if everything is working like you want and attempt to correct it if it is not.

This solves the problem of too many remotes and keystrokes to run the home theater. Very easy to program and update the programming. I thought I'd have to buy a more expensive remote to do this, but the Harmony 650 works great!

Complete update of home theater system, receiver, blu-ray, TV, Roku, Kodi. Needed a remote to control all of above. Programming was easy using my lapto. Couldn't find controls for Kodi box, but this is not a main stream device yet. Long story short, when I started using the remote with my system, it actually made it more complicated. After a day or two of playing with it, I realized that I wanted more. So I returned it for the next version up, quite a price jump but much easier to use with its touch screen.

We bought this to replace one of the their earlier models so we had the programming already online in our account. So I just plugged it in to the computer, updated one device and programmed it in a few minutes. It works like a charm.

Nice to have remotes consolidated into one. This remote has allowed access to multiple different brands for different components (cable box, TV, Receiver, CD player, Blue Ray).

Very happy with this purchase. There are obviously remotes out there with more bells and whistles, but are 2x or 3x the price of this one. At $70, this remote controls my TV, AV receiver, cable box, and sound bar wonderfully.

We have a Samsung plasma TV, an older Pioneer DVR/DVD player/burner, a Sony Blu-ray, a Comcast cable box/DVR, and a Samsung sound bar. AND we can watch some TV channels straight from the wall cable without going through the cable box. AND sometimes we listen to cable music channels without the TV on.
That meant we were using five separate remotes to control six different activities. The Comcast remote controlled the box and some TV functions; the sound bar remote controlled the audio and a couple of TV functions; and the Pioneer and Sony remotes controlled only their devices.
I would constantly juggle remotes, and my wife got to the point where she would refuse to watch the big TV if she was by herself -- she would instead to to the bedroom TV and forego DVDs or time-shifted programs we had recorded the night before.
This remote solved it, and she can now do whatever she wants whenever she wants with a single remote. One button turns on the TV, the cable box, and sound bar, sets the TV to the correct input, and then sets the sound bar to the correct input. One more button turns off the TV and tunes the cable box to our favorite music channel, with other music channels labeled descriptively on the remote's screen instead of having to remember three-digit numbers. Switch from music to a Blu-ray? One button turns the TV back on, turns off the cable box, and switches the inputs on the TV and sound bar to the correct setting. Want to then watch cable TV with closed caption? Our TV closed caption doesn't work with digital input, so we have to route the cable box signal through the old Pioneer DVR/DVD player to the TV's analog input while keeping the audio going to the sound bar. No problem -- push the "other activity" button, then select "watch cable with CC" from the screen.
The initial setup was very easy, but the sound bar input switching wasn't working right. It took a day or so to realize it wasn't my programming, it was the remote not sending the correct signal. I sent an email to the Logitech help desk with a description of the problem, and got an email back within 24 hours that they had changed the "repeat signal" setting in the sound bar database. It fixed the problem, and fixed it for future users of the same sound bar, too. Very fast, very helpful, very easy -- I was VERY pleased with the support.
After getting the basics right, it took several more days of tweaks and adjustments; we'd find we did something very occasionally (such as setting the aspect ratio of the TV to expand a 4:3 picture to full screen without stretching), so I kept notes about needed changes and every day or two would log on to the Harmony web site, where my personal programming was kept, make the changes, and re-synch the remote. Those gradually became more and more seldom as we refined the remote's operation to the point where I haven't made a change in about two weeks.
The MSRP of $80 represents a good value, and I got it via Best Buy online when I got a pre-Christmas email about a one-day half-price sale. So -- $40 for this one, or $15 for a simple three-device "universal" remote we tried to use? Slam dunk for this one -- it's 20 times as useful for less than triple the price. That makes it a GREAT value.
It does take a little thought and some minimum skill to program it, and the setup tweaks got easier and easier with practice. It's about as user-friendly as a device this complex can reasonably be expected to be, and my wife thinks it was the best purchase we've made in a long time -- she can finally use and enjoy the A/V system without having to become a gadget freak.
STRONGLY recommended for anyone who finds themselves juggling remotes. It won't handle a super complex system with more devices that we have (adding the separate stereo system with AM/FM receiver, cassette player, and CD player would exceed the remote's capacity), but for our purposes it's fantastic. And, if I did want to add everything, after my experience with this remote, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a "bigger" Harmony that controls more devices and activities. I wish we'd purchased it a year earlier.

My Denon's remote control "off" button became unresponsive, so i was looking for its replacement. Then i came across this wonderful product, Logitech 650 universal remote control. I researched it a lot before buying it as its price looked high to me initially & i wanted to be sure that i was making right investment. And it turned out that my investment was a perfect one !! This single remote now controls all my equipments in my media room - Sony TV, Dish receiver, JVC Blu-ray player, Denon receiver & Roku, i earlier had to use 3 different remotes, now only Logitech does their work. What's great about it is the activity based action, e.g. Watch TV - when i click on this button, then it switches on the TV, the Dish receiver , Denon receiver and puts TV on the right HDMI port. Now, when i have to watch Roku, which is on different HDMI port, i don't have to manually switch the TV input between 2 HDMI ports, instead i just press button for "Watch Roku" and it does the trick. Loving the product, it has cut down on clutter.
Its initial installation (you have to program it using computer) is not difficult, very easy step by step instructions. It took me around 30-35 minutes to have it programmed. I also like its backlight buttons which makes it easier to operate it in low light. Only reason for giving it 4 star is that sometimes it does not put the correct HDMI selection, in those instances i have to press "help" button and it fixes the HDMI port. Other than this small issue, this product is great, absolutely worth its money and works wonderfully.
