I have had this about a week. 0 issues. Super easy to use. It does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do. Controls TV cable sound bar and blue ray. Glad I bought it.

This is the reasonably priced model in Harmony's lineup. I've purchased and set up four of them over the years. It works well, for the most part. I will say, however, that there's a weird bug that raises/lowers the volume of our soundbar by three notches per push of the up/down buttons, there's no way to change the order on the screen of the activities or devices you've programmed into it, and requiring the user to log in every time you have to use the application to program/reprogram the thing is really off-putting.

Highly recommended to combine all remote controls into one. We have tv, Blu-ray, surround sound, satellite, radio and video game consoles all into this one remote.

The only (very minor) comment I would make is that I wish it had a battery status to give us some warning before it stops working when the AA batteries die. I like the mix between hard buttons and the screen. We have 2 of these. The one downstairs operates a Sony HDTV, Pioneer Receiver, Blue Ray player, Roku and a Tivo. The one upstairs operates a Samsung HDTV, Roku, Tivo and a Vizio Sound Bar + Sub. Both work very well and the set up using the Harmony Desktop app was pretty easy for me.

I downloaded the Logitech app to my Mac (If you have a newer Mac, be sure you download the 64 bit version). It took me through the set up of the remote using the model numbers of the devices that I wanted to control: a TV, blu-ray, receiver and Apple TV. You have to set up exactly what you want to do with each device, but it pretty well walks you through that - except for the Apple TV. It took some doing and a couple of trips back to the computer to get it working as I wanted with the Apple TV (which is the main reason I purchased this remote). A couple of things here: It doesn't use the official Apple model number, but as an example, "Apple 4K, 4th gen." Secondly, if the Apple remote won't do it, it won't do it, so sadly no mute. You have to shift to the TV settings to mute, but that's easy to do. The little screen on the remote is quite helpful. Some of the set-up involved aiming the two remotes at each other so the 665 could "learn" directly from the remote. That took a little time but not too much. This is not a remote for the impatient, but if you're willing to expend a little effort setting it up, it works very well!

    Great remote once setup

It would get 5 stars if you could copy every setting from an existing remote to a new remote, but the software seems to just add devices and nothing else. Every button needs to be setup again on the new remote you add, for each activity and each device, as well as adding your favorite channels again. All of those settings should be copied over. But once you go through the tedious setup, the remote itself is superb. I've had numerous 650s in the past, and they all seem to suffer from the most used buttons wearing out (such as the skip back/ahead buttons if you often skip through commercials). But still it's nice to always have the same buttons in the same place between all your devices, even when you change a device.

Great way to control all your Home Theatre devices

This is a great way to tie all of your home theatre devices together to one remote. Automated setup takes you online to download IR commands for each device you wish to control. You then setup "Activities" (such as watching cable TV or DVD player content) specifying which devices are needed and settings such as port numbers used. Finally, you can assign quick access buttons to each activity to make firing up the home theatre for a specific task very easy. There is a help button on the remote that helps you troubleshoot the issue if the system does not start and run properly. The IR lamp in the remote must be very powerful as I can be very casual about aiming at my devices and everything still responds. A small downside to that power is short battery life for the remote. I think we average about 4-6 weeks before we have to change. And if you're remote starts acting erratically, check the batteries! This is my third Harmony, the first two were an earlier generation. One finally gave it up, so I replaced it with the 665 I'm reviewing now. The other one is still going strong despite having been dropped many, many times on the floor.

Love this remote. Especially for $50 or under! I now control my Tivo, Denon Reciever, Apple TV, and Xbox One X with this thing! I was afraid that I would be missing certain buttons but this remote is well thought out and all necessary buttons are present! I can use this to play Blu-rays in the Xbox, switch inputs on the receiver, control Apple TV, etc. The activities button is nice as it will change all the settings to get you up and running (Turn on TV, turn receiver to Apple TV, then control the volume on the receiver.) Set up was a breeze. You may be like me and go back to programming it with your computer as you get used to your workflow. So Harmony easily added Tivo controls but I went back to customize the screen options. This remote gives decent customization options which is great! The only negatives is that it is not Bluetooth so it will not control my PS4. It will tell the receiver to switch to the PS4 input and control the volume but it will not turn on the PS4. You would have to a Harmony remote that utilizes the Hub for that. Also, there is no voice integration so I cannot use Siri on Apple TV. It takes two AA batteries and I am interested to see how long they last! It does have a colored LCD screen after all! I was hesitant at first but now I am a believer!

I bought this at the recommendation from a friend to use with my Apple TV box. It was fairly easy to set up and start using. It is so much better than having to use 3 separate remotes for my devices now, and if I want I can still add more later. You do have to remember what buttons to push and when to get you to where you want to go, but I'm sure with time it will be like second nature. I'm having a little trouble with the volume control but I think it just needs some reprogramming. Wish me luck!

This one replaced the one I sold while on an AV install. I've been programming and using harmony remotes for myself and client's since they hit the market oh so many years ago. I actually used to sit on the phone with Logitech tech support programming devices that weren't in the data base yet. For a line of sight IR universal remote under $100, the 665 is is perfect. Simple to use, comfortable in your hand, most used buttons easily reached without having to readjust the remote in your hand. A "Help" button. And my favorite part, if a button isn't used in the activity, it doesn't do anything. I take the 665 with me on every AV installation and use it when I need to teach a remote codes it add codes when customizing the way a remote controls certain activities. Like when you need to send an extra input code to a device, or have a device that changes the input with HDMI control, (that you can't turn off cause your using it for audio). I personally use the Harmony Elite remotes in my home. It can control, the FireTV devices, Roku, PlayStation, lighting, and so much more. You get more customizable control with the Elite.

Great remote for TV, Dish, DVD, Netflix, etc.

This Logitech-Harmony 665 remote was easy to program. All that was needed was to find the model number for your TV, Dish Network Receiver, DVD Player, Stereo and any other device you may have. After you find the model number, all you have to do is log in to the logitech website and start listing the model numbers you have. It was easy to do. I had a question about a device and it was easy to have the "logitech help" to resolve that issue. I would recommend this remote for anyone who wants a single remote for all your devices. Push one button to start the devices that are needed to watch Dish Network. Push the "All Off" button to shut off all the devices that were on. It does take a little time to know what all the buttons on the Harmony remote do. They are similar to the original remote for each device. I've had this remote for a few months now and love it. I also have a Logitech Harmony 650 remote that I've had for 5 years or so. The Geek Squad programmed that one. You don't need the Geek Squad to program the Harmony remote, it was easy for me to do it. The Logitech website was easy to program the remote, if you need help they will provide it.

Purchased four of these for a friends home. Very easy to program. You download they MyHarmony app, connect the remote to your computer and follow the instructions. First, you tell the remote which equipment (devices) to "Add" (TV, Apple TV Box, Denon Receiver, Direct TV Box). You must have your model numbers. Second, you tell the app which activities you want to add (Watch TV, Watch Apple TV, Listen to NET music). Third, you sync the remote with the information you have programmed (takes about two minutes). Fourth, disconnect the remote and try all of the activities you have programmed. You may have to click the "Help" button at the top to get everything in sync the first time. You may have to teach the harmony some of the codes from your own remote and it will show you how to do this in the app. There is a help screen that will pop up at first until you press the bottom left button next to the screen to ask it to stop. Great solution for only $60.00 if you want to get rid of multiple remotes. It operates an Apple TV box very smoothly, but does not have the talk back feature.
