Great value for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t want to spend a lot on a remote, and only have 5 or 6 devices to control. This was at just the right level of bang for the buck. Works great. I was replacing an older model that failed after 3 or 4 years and many drops to the floor. My only complaint about the newer model is that the labels on the buttons are much more faint and difficult to read. One cool feature of the Harmony website, is that I was able to use all of my previously programmed setting. Believe me, that saved a ton of time compared to setting it up originally. Great little remote, just what I needed.

Total Control out of Total Chaos!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After power outages during the harsh winter here, our remote setup with our surround sound theater just wouldn't work any more. I tried resetting all our equipment to no avail. It appeared that we were doomed to use 4 different remotes to watch TV (with satellite or smart TV) or DVDs. Frustrated, I went to Best Buy looking for an inexpensive solution to stop the madness! This Logitech Harmony remote does the trick, nearly flawlessly. And it was easy to set up with the software provided. I just had to have the brand name and model numbers of each of the devices to be used on the remote. And when setup was complete, it's basically push one button to watch TV, another button to watch a DVD, or a 3rd button to watch Smart TV. The Harmony handles controlling all the devices needed to do each function. I'm glad it spent the money to get this remote - it was more than worth it!

Great Universal remote for the money!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I am happy with this remote. It can turn on or off all the individual components needed for any particular function (streaming, satellite, Blu-Ray, etc), and simultaneously switches the receiver to the correct input all with a single button push. Once switched and on, it can control the volume of the receiver, as well as stop, play, pause, etc. on the Blu-Ray. It also controls the most needed functions of our Apple TV streamer.

Great remote!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought two of these remotes for friends and family who have pretty simple systems and wanted to just have one remote. It doesn’t have all the bells & whistles that the upper-level Harmony remotes have, but is great value for the price. The great thing about Harmony remotes is the ability to set them up using their PC/Mac application. Just tell it what equipment you’re using, and it will find and load the codes to the remote via USB. it saves your setup on your computer, and you can easily tweak functions without having to start over every time. Great, easy, well built remote. Yes it costs more than most universal remotes, but you get what you pay for.

Works great...but
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the fact I can use this remote to turn on my TV, my XBox, and my surround sound receiver. It's supposed to work with my Roku stick, but I don't see any commands on the menu screen yet. It's supposed to turn all the components on at once when I want to watch a movie, but it often fails to do that. Could be the IR beam isn't reaching all the devices at the same time, but I've aimed it at the TV and the XBox is the only device that reacts. I'm guessing I might be programming it wrong, so I won't complain about this remote. It does what it supposed to do and has an easy interface, so I'm happy with it.

This is a Neat Device!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a computer guy, I realize that what we have here is a tiny little computer that you are programming to control all your stuff. That is a tall order, and I did not really know what to expect, other than Logitech makes good stuff. This did not disappoint. The remote is well-designed. It was not rocket science to follow the instructions and get everything programmed in. Sometimes, there are glitches and it stops controlling a component. I press "Help" and the remote auto-fixes the malfunction. That is slick! The only thing I would beware about is the durability. I really doubt this guy bounces. I haven't tested that theory, nor do I wish to do so. But if I shattered it today, I'd buy another tomorrow.

Posted .Hi Steve, we're ecstatic to see you're all programmed and loving your Harmony 665 Remote! It's great to know you're aware of the quick "help" button available, so you can troubleshoot any small issues that may arise. While Logitech doesn't make any type of case for the remote, I'm sure you can find something on Amazon or local retailer that makes a silicon case, etc. Continue to enjoy!

Good for basic operations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good remote for basic operation of your everyday electronics. Only gripe is to program this thing, you have to create a logitech account on a laptop or computer and connect the remote to the computer to save your steps. In this age of bluetooth and NFC, you would think you would be able to program a lot of home automation items via apps. I programmed alexa, wemo, hue, ecobee etc all via the app with only a wifi connection needed. Other than that, once programmed, it works without hiccups. I found it faster that the original DirecTV remote that I have. The button layout is also pretty good, though I would have liked a dedicated "back" button.

Feels Counterproductive
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The draw of all-in-one remote is to make your life easier and remove clutter. The promise of smart all-in-one remotes is to make sure your all-in-one remote can do all of the things your OEM remote can do. And this remote basically does that. But is it worth it? Unless you have specific use concerns, I don’t think so. While people screech about owning 4-5 remotes, I would bet that most people would be able to more efficiently pick up each individual remote and select the one command they want rather than diving in and out multiple contextual menus that control each individual device. A great way to tell if the all-in-one remote simplifies my life is what I impulsively gravitate toward: the all-in-one or my growing remote collection. Because of how long it takes me to accomplish a simple command or a series of commands to do what I want on the all-in-one (turn on tv, turn on receiver, tell receiver to receive audio from UHD/Blu-ray player, turn on UHD/Blu-ray player, enjoy), I quickly noticed that I would avoid using the all-in-one as much as possible. Maybe in the future I will consider getting a Harmony remote that is heavily reliant on a touch screen, I don’t know. I just know that after this somewhat expensive purchase, it did not simplify my life, it only increased the onerousness.

Ok for a universal remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit works as advertised for a universal remote. I have it configured for my TV, Sound Bar, and DVD player. I haven't determined whether I'll get the hub so it works with Roku as well. My only dislike about the remote is you have to fumble through the on screen menu to select your device in order to use the controls. Not horrible since I'm not going to be switching channels the same time I'm watching a movie and need to use the DVD controls. However, all the buttons are right there on the remote so why can't I use the TV channel buttons and the DVD play, pause, FF, etc. buttons without having to pick my device first?

Easiest Universal Remote I've Ever Used
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent universal remote. The MyHarmony computer program made it by far the easiest setup for a remote. Other than the setup, the ability to create button sequences, where you can program the remote to send multiple commands at once, makes more complicated home theater setups very simple. The only potential downside to this remote is that the buttons are a bit small, so misclicks can happen. Also, the responsiveness for on-screen keyboards (Roku and cable-box) has some slight lag, so if you like zipping around the letters and numbers, you'll have to slow down a bit with this remote. These are more personal gripes, which by no means diminishes the usefulness of this remote.

Excellent inexpensive universal remote
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Second one I've bought. This one was for my girlfriend. Easy to set up and I don't think I've run into any device it wouldn't link with. Even have it controlling my window air conditioner. I recommend turning off the motion activated feature for the display as it will eat through batteries that way. Also, you must wait while it cycles through its routine before putting it down during system start and shut down.
