Once programmed, GREAT remote!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical that any universal remote could control all 8 of my devices. Most so called "universal" remotes fall down on a few functions, forcing you to keep the original remotes around. Not this one. My former "universal" remote was the one that my cable company had supplied. It's the ONLY remote I have on my coffee table now. The programming and learning curve is steep but it's worth the reward in the end. I would strongly suggest that you don't try to set up ALL your devices and functions at once. Do the simple functions first, such as watching regular TV. Move on to more advanced functions after you've mastered the simple stuff. I kept my laptop nearby for the first week for "tweaks" that I needed to make with some commands, adding another device or two, and to throw some more challenging commands at it, which it was able to perform.

Just OK
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this remote since I did not like the stock Direct TV remote. Tis remote is a universal and works, however it has some bugginess and the touch display is very temperamental. I am not a huge fan of this remote.

Very good universal remote--but discontinued!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up and works well except for "activities" in that usually one of the 3-4 devices in the activity won't start up at first. Have to hit help then it will get it going but not right out of the start. Usually it is Logitechs own sound device that doesn't start up. Go figure. I would really recommend them anyway but Logitech just dumped the Harmony remotes. Will "support" them but they aren't selling them anymore, so if you buy one, realize they are a discontinued item.

Still number one
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced my Harmony 660 after about 5 years. The 665 is identical, just offers control of more devices. Didn't need, but the price was too good to pass on. I have noticed that some keys are softer and get stuck, small annoyance for me, major for my wife. Still would buy, I would just return to get another, but COVID, well... I would give it 5 stars but for the sticky keys.

Control at fingertips
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally I could put away all my remote controls which were either not very responsive or often needed battery replacements, and use this ONE remote control to operate all of my devices. I can go to different modes based on the device I want to control. and operate them as needed. For example, to raise the volume up on my sound bar I would switch to the Amplifier mode, then raise the volume or mute as needed. I can also go to the TV mode and then navigate to individual HDMI inputs (I have Amazon Firestick on one, Cable TV on another, Blu Ray player on a third) and operate those devices. This is one very convenient remote control, The buttons are excellent quality and sturdy. There is some elasticity in the buttons that makes them a pleasure to operate. The remote control itself has been built ergonomically so it is very convenient and a pleasure to hold. This is a very good purchase for under $50.

Love this remote
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just transferred everything from a 7-year-old 650 that is still working, but gave me a scare when it just completely shut down. This 665 is it's twin. Thank God I don't have to learn new buttons. And it really did transfer everything to the new one with the software. I guess I am one of the few that got lucky with this. I kept the old one in the software, I believe I read where you can't use them side by side. You use one or the other. And I agree with everyone, it will make you pull your hair out with first time set up, and as one reviewer said, TAKE A DEEP BREATH, and be patient and think things through. There is no rushing this. I hope they never get rid of this type, looks like they phased the 650 out, These remotes are a God send for us lazy generation and our toys. Nice to punch a couple of buttons instead of 4-6 remotes. Anyone that is new to this after set up..happier days are ahead.

Great Harmony for the budget conscious.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Harmony for the budget conscious. I like the ability to down-load the settings for my devices. I'm gonna have to read the instructions to further customize it to my liking. Be aware that it may assign a button to something you don't often use on the other device. The combination of the buttons on the device and the "buttons" on the screen make this extremely customizable!

Very nice for the price
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: It is much more interactive than I ever thought a remote could be. Very simple to set up and plugs into the PC to program buttons to your preference. It can turn on and off the devices you need by pressing the button for what you will be watching. Cons: Only one, but it might be my TV the back button doesn't work. I have reprogrammed it several times, but I have had to find other menu options to navigate instead of pressing back. Not a huge issue when your goal is to use one remote for several devices.

An excellent Universal Remote
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was relatively easy once I got through the registration process. I’m using it to control a Pioneer Elite Plasma Tv, Denon AVR, Pioneer Elite Blu-Ray, Toshiba HD DVD Player (still works), Dish Joey (hopper), Roku Stick (still need Roku remote to do anything with it). Works real well except for an occasional glitch, mostly with turning the TV on or off, which gets corrected with the help function. In contrast, I have the Best Buy Universal remote on my other system, 4K, etc. that requires a tech to set up and make changes. The performance of the 665 compares quite favorably, although not as sophisticated. It seems as though I got one of the last 665’s, since it looks like Logitech may no longer be making it.

ok
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.overall pretty good, but not as amazing as I thought it would be either. Have to push several buttons to get to the device I need and switch around....also have to make sure nothing is blocking the device and have to move the remote around to the right angle for it to work sometimes. Overall, it is still nice to just have the one remote instead of having 4 or 5 to keep track of.

Simple all-in one remote.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this remote to replace another Harmony remote I've owned for about three years due to one of its buttons being worn out. I have users in my house that have a difficult time with change so being able to get another remote that is almost identical to the last one was a big help. I like this remote for the simple set up. If you have a computer with a USB connector, that is the way to go. Just get the model numbers of your devices and you can set up everything, no extra searching and lookup needed. I use this remote to control several setups on my main entertainment system: watching TV, listening to CDs, watching movies (BluRay), and watching streaming services. This remote activates and controls the correct items and puts the devices in the correct setting at power on. It isn't a touch screen or an app you can put on your phone, but it is a great all-in-one remote for the price.

Logitech Harmony 665 Universal Programmable Remote
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned this universal programmable remote earlier too for many years and just loved it. I gave that one away with my home theater system. I got this one now and it’s just as good! It’s initial setup requires some ability with computers. So it’s NOT something you can use right out of the box. It’s appeal lies in eliminating clutter of multiple remotes. The only downside is lack of microphone for Google Home / Alexa / Siri commands.

Good remote
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a very good remote. Is easy to program and if you set up an account, you don't even have to go through it a 2nd time if all of your components are the shame. Unfortunately, I've bought many iterations as they don't last all that long. Also, the rechargeable version didn't last very long on each charge. Buttons are not easy for elderly to use either, but fine for the rest of the family. A little on the pricey side.

Excellent Universal Remote for the $$$$
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having a new television, sound bar, and cable box installed in my vacation home I quickly tired of the three remotes (not including the one on the nightstand for the Sleep Number Bed). I do not have a computer at the vacation home so I ordered this remote and had it delivered to my regular home. I made sure to have the make and model number for everything I wanted to control. Ten minutes after opening the box the remote was programmed for the vacation home. Two weeks later I got the chance to test it out and it worked perfectly. Programming is very easy. (Must admit I have a Harmony Remote at my normal home so I was versed in how to program these.) Very simple. For the money it would be hard to beat. I hope this new one has the longevity of my other one, as it is almost ten years old and I have never had a single problem with it.
