    Great universal remote

I was at first skeptical about the cost of this remote. I thought I would be over-paying for something like this. However, it has the full functionality of all of our remotes. Often, with universal remotes, you lose some features compared to the product's original remote, but not with this one. There's a slight learning curve to it, but you can literally program any button to do what you want/need it to do. We use it to control our smart tv, soundbar, and blu-ray player. NOTE: this WILL NOT work for non-infrared devices, i.e. Roku streaming sticks. Only devices with infrared sensors will work. It requires some initial set up time along with trial and error to get it the way you want it, but once set up, works awesome. I would recommend this!

This remote was easy to set up - I have it controlling a smart TV, surround sound system, Blu Ray player in our bedroom. The Logitech software used to set it up was fairly easy to follow and allowed me to set up for one-button play of either the TV, a movie using the Blu Ray, or music. Once I set it up, the first time I pressed the TV button, neither the TV nor the surround came on. However, the remote screen offers a "help" button and when I pressed that, one more press after had an automatic correction made and all was well.

First, some sort of battery level indicator would be a huge plus. This thing goes through batteries quick and the only indication is it starts turning off and on and acting buggy. This is my second 665 because I thought the first one was going bad. Turns out it was low batteries. Programming is fairly straight forward. Can't change the home screen which shows Netflix and not TV. Recommend turning off motion sensing screen activation to save battery. Having to log into an account every time I change the program is inconvenient. Nice to be able to add extra steps to a program as needed based on the equipment requirements but some of the steps are limited in scope and don't always work. Can't customize pre-programmed steps, need to add new ones. Sometimes the programmed actions don't eork at all and you'll need to either use the help function or go through the device menu. The programmed device menu will only hold a limited number of commands so choose what you want carefully. While within a device menu activities such as changing channel or volume are not available. If you want to replace a bunch of different remotes with one, this is not a bad bet. There are other choices but for novices this one seems to be the easiest option and at a fairly reasonable price.

Good Remote to Consolidate 5 Devices

Had this remote for about 2 weeks now. Works great so far to consolidate 5 remotes/devices in bedroom. Replaced an older 650 Harmony model remote that had worn out with some of the buttons no longer working. Was a breeze to set up with the Harmony software since I was able to simply copy settings to the new remote from the old one, then delete the old remote from my account. If not for the copy capability in the software, it would have been a bit more time consuming to set up. Got next day delivery on the item which was great.

Best Buy had the best price and delivery. This is a great remote for 2 reasons. 1) It controls all of my devices, 2) It is programmable, so that the press of a single button will perform any series of actions that I need for all devices. I do not have to select one device at a time to perform turn them on/off or make adjustments. This is the 3rd Harmony universal remote I've used over the past many years. The only downside is that after about 4 years, the buttons become more and more unresponsive. Taking the unit apart to clean the gunk that accumulates on the contacts is of limited benefit. But the cost is acceptable for the large benefit of having a programmable remote.

The good thing about this remote is that it has the ability to learn when things don't function as they should. Press a button, and you will be taken into a troubleshooting process. It handles devices that we have struggled to find universal remotes for, and for the most part we like it, although it does take a bit of a learning curve. Only negative is that it doesn't work with a Roku streaming stick, as this remote requires direct IR line of sight.

I have a TV and sound system that toggle on/off with the same button. This remote tries its best to track whether each is on or off, but if someone manually pushes a power button, you have to either choose the specific device to resync or hold the remote away from the devices so it is either ready for the activity or completely off to start again. I think if you have devices with separate commands to turn things on/off, this would be a great budget remote.

Good entry level activity based remote

Covers all the basic requirements of an activity based IR remote. I have two of these remotes and both occasionally have some problems with double-entering buttons (press a button once but it sends the signal twice), and setting it up requires a computer, but once set up it's easy to use. Have had Logitech Harmony remotes for a long time, including the 880, One and 350, and like the One best but this isn't too far behind, plus it's available and cheaper.

This is the second Harmony I own. That older model is the 330. It can do it all for those of us with numerous remotes. But Logitech has changed somewhat the assigned button setup. To force volume to always be set to one device is not that easy anymore. In the past it was an actual option. Now it must be done with a learning combo to override the device chosen at any given time. Other than that very happy with the screen and performance.

It takes some work to set up, but after that it is really nice to use. Lots of features for a remote at this price point. I did buy some rechargeable AA batteries because it seems to go thru them pretty quickly probably due to the lit display. Also put some grip tape on the bottom because it does tend to slip as noted in some of the other reviews. Overall, it's a great remote and I would recommend.

This is actually my second Harmony remote: i had one way back in 2008 but lost it somewhere between then and now. Getting this one was a no brainer for the whole setup i have, as it allowed me to use even items i have lost the remote for. My only complaint is that it doesn't have my Onkyo receiver in the list, so i still haven't been able to completely setup the activities properly Even so, good value for money; does everything i need it to, just wish it was a little more inclusive of different equipment

Just got this remote since my really old Harmony 520 decided to quit working. I couldn't get my old settings to transfer so I set up a whole new program. I must say that the new software is easier to use compared to the old. I have a couple of issues that I haven't been able to resolve yet. I may have to stop being stubborn and get some help to get them resolved. It will be interesting to see how well their tech support responds.

    Easily Programmed Universal Remote

The Logitech Harmony 665 is a flexible universal remote that is remarkably easy to program. The on-line database makes it simple to set up the remote for a large number of devices. The only limitation of the remote is that, occasionally, a function / key that is assigned to only one device does not function unless that device is selected on the remote. Once you recognize this quirk, the remote is powerful, easy to program, and easy to use.
