effective
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this is a really nice device that allowed me to reduce from 3 to 1 remote. Other remotes have a button/ favorite option to launch specific programs (netflix) that this device lacks. But, it is functional with typical home theater elements as wil as the XBox One which does simplify things. I am concerned if the remote drops onto the floor that it may sustain damage.

Difficult
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Usually rather tech-savvy, found it difficult to get this to work. Perhaps the more expensive models are more intuitive.

Great remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm giving it 4 stars as the software is a bit funky compared to prior versions. Yes, logitech has stopped making remotes, which is sad but glad this is still around. Once I got the software to work it was easy to migrate all my settings from a prior logitech remote to this new harmony remote.

Works as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works as advertised. This is my third harmony and I haven't found any reason to switch brands. Generally I've found that they correctly sync all of the commands when programmed to my devices and when I've had to place a previous Harmony with a new one the transfer has been easy.

Great All in one remote
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first when I purchased this item I was intimidated when they told me I had to connect It to the computer to program it, but It was honestly the easiest to do. The directions are very clear in the customizations that you can do to this remote are endless. I was able to program everything from my television, sound bar, Apple TV, Roku and even my air-conditioning. Now that I’ve got the hang of it I find myself reconnecting it to add more options for each device. I gave this item 5 stars and recommend it to anybody who has a table full of remotes.

Works good, but wish it were a bit simpler
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read the reviews on this remote before buying it, and i can agree that for a device that has such simple commands, it was a bit too complex to set up. It took me about 20 minutes total to download the required software and set up 3 devices. That part was simple enough. The part that was a bit frustrating was after syncing the remote with my tv. When i hit the return/back button, it would not work. After some research i figured out that i have to “teach a command” to the remote using the downloadable software. After about another 20 minutes of trial and error I finally got the button working. Im not sure if I’m being ignorant, but i have never synced a remote, and a button not work, and i do not think it should be necessary to “teach a command” that most remotes, including my original tv remote have (i.e. return button). With that being said, i think once the remote is all set up, it may take some time to get used to, but it does make it simple to switch and control multiple devices.

Pretty good remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The remote works pretty good. I have to working with my Hisense TV, Bose 700 soundbar, DVR cable box, and Apple TV. It does not work with the Amazon fire stick. One problem I am having is I would like to be able to control the soundbar volume while in the DVR cable box. Having trouble making this happen.

Great universal remote
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote worked very well with my Samsung smart TV. Our original remote broke and we purchased this as a replacement. We are able to run our TV, Blu-ray, sound bar, and Chromecast with this remote without issue. The price was great as well. The remote is easy to set up and even easier if you have a working old remote that you can use to program this one.

Harmony 665 universal remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This purchase was to replace one that stopped working. Over all i like the product. My only beef is that it has to be set up after a 15 inch fall from a coffee table. I was hoping this new one did not have the same problem but it does. My vizio sound bar looses it's setting each time. I would buy another one.

Can’t give a fair review yet.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems to be ok. The man set it up for our new TV but we needed a new Direct TV equipment to get the best out of our TV. We are supposed to call guy back to finish setting our remote up cause got new Direct TV equipment so we hadn’t been using the Logitech controller been using what came with Direct TV. But need to get guy out to set up with our new Direct TV equipment with Our New TV.

Posted .Hi Chuckie,
I'd recommend you to add the DirecTV box with the exact model number (Ex. HR-24-100) to your Harmony 665 account. Refer this support article [https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/how-to-add-a-device-to-your-harmony-remote] for steps.
After that, create "Watch TV" Activity, add the required devices (Ex. TV, DirecTV, Soundbar/AV receiver, etc.), select DirecTV box as the channel-changing device and complete the setup. Refer this support article [https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/how-to-create-a-harmony-activity] for steps.
After creating the Activity, Sync your Harmony remote [http://support.myharmony.com/en/syncing-changes-to-harmony] to save the changes to the remote, test and see if that works as expeted.
Best Regards,
Peter (Harmony Remotes, Logitech).

A little touchy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit is not as easy to use as one with articulated buttons. The touch screen does not always seem to pick up my fingers depending on temperature and dampness. Additionally the unit has on occasion performed operations based on bumping the unit or even shaking it. A couple of times it seemed to stop working for no reason and later begin working again.

Pretty great remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have never bought such a remote, but truly happy with it. Controls the TV, sound bar and Xbox with ease. Only issue is trying to use a "back" button, it's all different depending on the device being used and wished the dedicated back button worked. Otherwise, easy to set up and use. Great to only need one remote instead of 3-4.

Great universal remote
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We picked this up to replace our Harmony 650 which was starting to show plenty of wear after many years of service. The 665 is pretty much identical to the 650 so it was a seamless transition between the two. The best part was that our settings are saved with Logitech so setup was as simple as plugging it into the computer and duplicating the previous remote. Sturdy build quality and easy to use are the cornerstones of this remote and I highly recommend it for those who hate having a pile of remotes sitting around.

Capable and complicated
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can do a lot of things. Plan to spend considerable time and attention to learn it, program it and use it. It is a capable gadget - it does not simplify things. If you are really into gadgets and youth is on your side - consider it. Otherwise, I feel, having : different remotes around the TV is actually simpler.

Great Universal Remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it as replacement for a harmony 700 that lasted many years before some of the buttons stopped working. The reason I did not rate it excellent is that despite correct programming, the remote doesn't always tune the audio receiver to the right input. This problem however is usually fixed once you press the help button (on the remote).

Not the Best Harmony I've Owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you haven't had a harmony before, they are pretty well thought out products. Just follow the directions and it'll take pretty good care of you. For whatever reason, this remote has a problem with communication with my Yamaha receiver. I will likely go through the pretty painless process of reprogramming. I suspect, it'll work perfectly at that juncture.

Showing its age
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My folks got one years ago and it works well with their equipment. I wanted a universal remote to do some basic functions with my Sony Bravia XBR-65X900E, Vizio soundbar and Verizon (Motorola) STB. The Harmony 665 is a very inexpensive for it capabilities... and it's inexpensive because it works very well with systems that are 10 years old. Not so much for Smart TVs. It can pretty much open NetFlix and that's about it. The MyHarmony app is pretty easy to use for setting up basic routines, but beyond that it is extremely painful. There is no way to cut and paste steps or program a common function--for instance, I wanted a task that would set the TV volume to 0 (not mute it). I had to repeatedly enter the same step to turn down the volume 40 times. Anyway if you have older equipment, this is a great remote. Otherwise, I would not recommend it for a entertainment system that includes a SmartTV.

Great remote but I wish it had voice command
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third remote that I have purchased for my home. The first two worked so well I was hooked. It has a really easy set up but you will need a computer. I wish that it had voice command because it would be helpful with my Apple TV. All in all it’s a great remote for all your entertainment devices to sync on command.

Excellent remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this remote after researching and reading some quite frankly scary reviews for subsequent models I decided on this model as it does not require a charging station and stays on my coffee table as well the price point was very attractive. The set up needs a computer but is very user friendly after you input your model numbers of the devices it will automatically assign the buttons afterwards you can teach it any buttons that you need to. If you’re tired of having to use 5 different remotes in my case this is the right product for you.
