This is my second Harmony Universal remote. This one is a bit tricky. It requires frequent use of the "Help" button to properly manage tasks. Be aware that for MAC users, the software is not compatible with OS 12. Review software requirements before purchase.

    Very Useful Remote

I've owned this remote for years and its still working today. The setup for your devices is the easiest I have ever had on a universal remote, the layout of the remote is great, and the screen is nice. The only issue I have ever had is that sometimes it will restart for no reason, however, it didn't start doing that till I had the remote for a few years, so maybe it was just old age or something. I don't want to fully count this issue as a knock against the remote as it may be my fault if it was knocked around or something, but just more a heads-up just in case I suppose.

This is a great product. I have two. One each for the two TV setups in the house. My wife is technologically challenged. I set up the Harmony 665 with the My Harmony app. With a single button the Set top box, TV, and Home Theater receiver turn on and are configured properly. With another button she can listen to music because the Harmony turns on and configures the Receiver and DVD/CD player for music. A button for Watch a Movie turns on and configures the TV, receiver, and DVD/CD player for watching a DVD video. Reliable, simple to use, and relatively easy to setup with the My Harmony App.

This came bundled with a 4K DVD player. It’s my 4th harmony remote. In general they work great. I love setting it up on the computer and the software works pretty well. I wish you could name each remote now that I have 4. The only way to know which remote you’re dealing with is by seeing which devices are attached. I also wish the backlight was better.

This remote does everything one needs. It is reasonably easy to program and handy to use. I wish Logitech would do more in respect to durability. I have found it necessary to replace other Harmony remotes after two or three years, because the on/off button begins to fail (and there's no fixing it). So, factor that into the total operating price.

good remote, difficult to star off with. a computer is needed and model numbers for each device is needed before using the controller. if you drop it, it will do a soft reset but wont delete your devices. i would not recommend for technology inclined people.

Remote works fine. I would like to go back into program and change location of buttons per most used functions for better comfort. Sensitive to movement and lighting up buttons in dark room a bonus. Heavy and bulky. Its been dropped a few times and had to support batteries to stay in better contact to stay on.

Surprisingly enough the blu-ray player that I purchased (the remote was a bonus) was the only thing I have that the remote didn’t have recognize. That really wasn’t much of an issue because the Harmony can be programmed by other remotes. In addition, once it was set up, if something doesn’t do what you want it to do (play movie, watch T.V.) hit help and it fixes itself.

Good device, however... I built a home gym & installed a video & audio system for the the gym (receiver & 4x TVs. When I use this remote, I have to be pointing the remote to each TV; in order to work. I canNOT point the remote at all the TVs at one time. So I have to turn each one at a time.

I appreciate how many devices I can control with a centralized remote. It's great that it is a learning remote and equally great that you can copy settings from a previous harmony remote to the new one. Now the bad. I've had many harmony remotes over the years, the reason is because the buttons wear out. You end up pressing the same button 15 times before it responds, then it's time to replace it. It would be nice to be able to program these remotes without a Windows machine. I'm an android OS guy, I very rarely touch my Windows PC.

Replaced an old 6 series that a button quit working on. If you want a nice remote that will control several devices and allow you to make one button presets you really can't beat this one for the price. Some people hate the programming interface. I have used it for a long time and it is actually good. Thing is there are a lot of buttons and control over those buttons so it takes some time to figure out how to make best use of the software. Play around with it and you will get the hang of it. Nice thing is that the defaults are going to be pretty much what you want any when you create a one button setting.

This is my third Harmony remote and it functions to operate all of my equipment. Very simple and straightforward. I bought this one as a backup for one that I’ve had for awhile. Great product but the software for apple is a little bit lacking. But it’s the best universal remote for the price.

    Darned Good Remote

Sadly Darned Good isn’t an official star rating, so we’ll have to stick with Good! Relatively easy to set up and modify, which was good because my older TV was rather persnickety and required a reordering if inputs. Once that was sorted, the remote works beautifully. Definitely better than having to search for the “right” remote.

Finally, I got a Logitech Harmony 665 that controls my Samsung HDTV and my 'retro' Pioneer receiver (circa 2004). i PREVIOUSLY HAD TWO Logitech Harmony 650's and they were garbage. The new 665 was on sale during Black Friday and it works perfectly. I'd recommend this product to anyone that wants to control their stereo/video system with a single control unit.

Good: Well made controller LCD is easy to read and customized Software very easy to use with helpful walk through 10 device support Cons: Software does not come package, you need to download. Button glow paint can wear over time The great thing about the remote is it enables the person to use one single remote to control up to ten devices.

Works well as a replacement for a Harmony 700

Had a Harmony 700 (rechargeable) for 8 years. After all of this time some of the buttons no longer worked and the charging function finally failed. What I really like about the Harmony remotes is the "activity" mode in which I can press one button and turn on all equipment needed to watch TV (for example). I find that this capability outweighs the unreliability of the buttons. The 665 is not rechargeable but, I can use rechargeable batteries. And for the price, I can simply periodically replace the unit if needed.

    Not the Harmony of old

I've been a Harmony remote user for close to 15 years. In fact, I'm still using one that I bought in 2005. Unfortunately one of the buttons isn't working correctly all the time so I decided to replace it with a new remote. I also currently own a Harmony 650 that I use in my bedroom with a Pioneer receiver. When I programmed the 665, I immediately noticed that there was a huge response lag when using the volume button with my Yamaha RX-V573 receiver. I was about to send this back, but I figured why not try to see if the 650 that I have does the same with the Yamaha receiver and also see if the 665 will work with the Pioneer receiver. Well, the 665 works with the Pioneer receiver with no issues and the 650 works with my Yamaha receiver as well. So its not that I'm not satisfied, because I am, but only because I had another remote that I could switch out to use with my Yahama receiver.

Super easy to set up, and use. The one button macros are easily customizable, Button layout is intuitive to anyone that has used a remote of any type since the history of remotes. Controls every piece of equipment in my home theater (multiple brands), including my geriatric Denon receiver whose original remote was the most difficult, complicated, poorly laid out device i have ever seen. My only disappointment is that Logitech has discontinued the line of Harmony remotes.

A little cumbersome until figured out how to program each device and how to use each button. Still having the feel of a classical remote with extended capability for programming different devices. Did not work with Roku stick.
