This is as good as previous versions. This one, however, does not rechargeable batteries. It uses regular AA. Logitech still makes the best universal remotes out there.

Our 15 year old Harmony finally hit the skids and needed a replacement. We have had this particular remote for a few months now and completely happy about the performance. Maybe some of the buttons could be a bit bigger, however that would be a sacrifice at functionality. Let's just say I am happy enough that I am going to buy a second for the game room.

    Great remote

After dropping cable I was looking for a remote that would handle my tv, receiver, and Roku and handle other components. The setup of the remote with the software was straightforward and worked the first time perfectly. The backlit screen and buttons work well and come on when the remote is picked up or tapped.

    Very complicated to use

I find this remote too complicated. You have to press 3 buttons just to turn the tv and cable box on. Most of the time I find it's easier to walk over to the devices and turn them on manually.

For as sophisticated device that it is, the instruction manual was not as informative as it should have been. To there credit, there Customer Service department was very helpful.

works but there is a learning curve, like trying to set up a dish joey, but you have to keep trying until you find the rigth code.

    My go to remote

These remotes are so simple to program, and work incredibly well. Price point is great considering most universal remotes that actually work are priced between $100-$800. No network connections, bluetooth, or RF, this is just an IR remote, but I've programmed and used this one and its predecessor countless times, you can't go wrong...

    Best basic universal remote

This by far the best universal remote on the market. Task-driven macros instead of device-driven make a MASSIVE difference in terms of usability. This has the physical buttons so it's simple for a wide range of users (youngsters to seniors). It's also pretty durable.

we use it every day. Does a great job. The screen is a bit sensitive, but you get used to not touching it (it opens other apps). Was very difficult to get a cover for it; ultimately found one online. I would buy this again (and have).

I have used Harmony remotes for 25 years. Good but the technology is dated. This remote does not control my Amazon Cube - IR vs Bluetooth. Also these remotes seem to break easily.

I wish I would’ve bought this 10 years ago. Have been using a separate remote for every composite forever. Have touched one since getting this. Highly recommended and worth the value. Easy to set up and connect to different components. Price was fair. Didn’t need to shop around for other remotes.

Some programming remains and further familiarity will come over time but this "gadget" should prove quite useful in simplifying the management of the Home Entertainment System.

l have directv with a Sony TV and Sony soundbar. Directv remote would not work both Sony devices at same time. This remote did the trick for a fair price. The only draw back is it has to be line of sight to the devices.

I had an old Harmony 700. I dropped it too many times. This, (Harmony 665) was simple to program, because the website had all my information for my equipment stored from my Harmony 700. Does not have rechargeable batteries, however, the regular batteries last over four timed longer.

    Great remote, terrible software.

I’ll start out by saying that I love Harmony remotes. Loved them since the 500 series years ago. What I don’t love is the software. Setup was easy enough until it got time to setup activities. It would get to that screen and become un-interactive. Not frozen, you just couldn’t click on any of the buttons to actually setup the activity. I don’t know how I got past it, but I did... after a few hours. Other than that part, I do highly recommend the actual remote. Logitech just needs to work on the computer software.

I'd give it 5 stars although without deleting all devices to put in order I have to pull out all 7 of my devices for the model numbers. Virtual assistant was not helpful.

Beware of connecting to Win10 driver issue connected to 3 computers all had a driver issue and to keep unplugging and plugging back in to finish the sync on the application. .once programmed the remote works great.

This is my third Harmony remote in about 10 years. With daily heavy use, some of the most used buttons become intermittent at times. I can accept this to have full control of my home theater and audio equipment. It controls all functions of my Onkyo receiver, Directv and Blu-ray. This is a great device and the price (39.95) was also great.

It is great for consolidating if you have lots of remotes, but there are a lot of menus to go through on the remote. Makes it more complicated for me (using it to replace 3 remotes).
