This remote was half price and for around 70 bucks it has a rechargeable battery. No charging cradle, instead you get a USB adapter. The battery life lasts a long time before needing charged. The remote is back-lit so even the smaller keys are easy to see even in the dark.

It's great to have a remote that lets me control multiple devices with ease. Programming the remote can be a little tricky if your device is not in the Logitech database. However after the programming is done the remote is really practical and makes things simpler.

I bought two of these for my fiancé for Christmas. Initially, she gave me that, "You bought these for yourself," look. But once I showed her how she could just scroll to which activity she wanted she was convinced. I have a receiver in the LR and MBR and multiple components attached to them (e.g. Blu-ray player, ROKU, WD Live Box, HTPC, etc.) So, depending on what you want to view, the TV and receiver have to be properly configured. And you had to just commit to memory what input to select on the receiver. Some were obvious like "BD" was for the Blur-ray but most where not and she just never really tried hard enough to figure it out. In comes the Harmony 700; by simply connecting it to an online PC, registering it, inputting the model numbers of all your devices and telling it which devices are required for each activity you will soon streamline the process for configuring your system. You can even add the logos from all you favorite TV channels so you don't have to remember that 69.1 is PBS and 69.2 is NBC...

The setup was was clean and seamless. It took a little to get used to, but the functionality of this remote is remarkable. If something doesn't function correctly, the help button fixes it within one or two tries. The remote does delay in turning on my Bose Audio, but it's only 5 Seconds or so.

My hubby set this up in a matter of an hour! Easy! He has lots of devices including a receiver, dvd player, tv, cable box, Wii U, Xbox and some other things I am sure I failed to mention...but it works flawlessly! Good buy! AND it works with our NEW 4K TV we just bought last weekend!

Amazing product. I only have 3 components in the living room that I bought this for and I LOVE IT! Easy setup and it has EVERY FUNCTION of the original remotes. I have always wanted a Harmony, for about 10 years now. I used to have a complicated DVD surround sound system and I figured there were too many awkward buttons that a "universal" wouldn't be able to keep up. Boy do I wish I would have bought one all those years ago bc it is amazing. I have many different seats in my living room and frequently change. I was always having to grab 3 remotes or I'd just take one bc I wasn't using one, then I'd change viewing option and have to get up, hunt down the other remote and BLAH! Not anymore. The amazing Black Friday price made me finally try it and after 2 days of using it I loved it so much I spent twice as much on a Harmony Touch for my living room and put this in my media room where it replaced 4 remotes! The deal was so good I bought several to give as gifts.

Finally got a remote to make home entertainment easier. Nice to be able to combine all remotes from soundbars to cable box. And the one button feature set to control multiple units is nice.

I have a complex system of 2 Rotel amps, a Rotel processor, xfinity x1 box, Samsung tv, MacBook Pro, blue ray and an xbox full circle video game; one touch to turn on the components used for a selected activity and turn of any no longer needed for that activity. This is the basic Harmony and leans toward the simplistic, no touch screens here, it has buttons you can feel in the dark without averting eye from screen. With a new Samsung smart tv with the pointer remote I do lose a cool function, but on the other hand I save my curved screen. Did anyone at Samsung bother to project potential problems, with what basically irons out to be an interactive laser pointer that functions on the tv screen, for people who share their homes with cats? I am owned by cats and the Harmony is wonderful, I did withhold a star for the sake of those that could feasibly use the pointer.

I bought three of them. Unlike the Harmony Smart control remote (which I had before) the device buttons are back lit. Key for the wife and easy to use. Takes a little time to initially program if it's your first time but once you play around with it even that becomes quick.

This has to be my best purchased of 2015. It can control almost all your devises. Programming the devise was a breeze by plugging it in to your computer and clicking a couples of click. Best of all, you can charge it. No more looking for batteries. Go get one!

Harmony Remotes make life with any home theater set up so much easier! Definitely recommend it if you have multiple products you have multiple remotes for. Pros: + Streamlines all device controls into one remote + Customizable for easy controls and one-button setups + Software is very easy to download and use for your remotes + This model uses rechargeable batteries and comes with a cable to recharge Cons - The software is very particular about certain things, like I tried to rename a command and it couldn't be remotely close to the old title but nothing major

This is my first universal remote and it works well! Lightweight, easy to use and don't have to worry about having multiple remotes. It's connected to my cable box, blu-ray player, hdtv, and Soundbar system! It also comes with rechargeable batteries.

I have used Harmony remotes for a long time. When I picked this one up, I was worried about the battery life. I purchased the remote 2 months ago, still have not needed to recharge yet. Easy to use, easy to program, no more fumbling remotes

This is my second Harmony remote and I was lost when my original stopped working...Once you have a Harmony Universal remote,it's tuff to go back to using multiple remotes...Although I was not able to copy settings from my old remote,it was very easy to program off the Harmony website..I have it controlling Satellite TV,Blue Ray player,AppleTV and a Home Theater Amplifier which controls audio and video for all functions and everything works great..Would have given it 5 Stars if it had a cradle for recharging as plugging it in to cable once a week to charge seems is kind of odd and even my original Harmony came with a cradle..Not a big deal as the price for this remote was very low...Very Satisified with the purchase.

At first I was skeptical like anyone before the purchase but after a good days worth I got the hang of it. Takes a computer to download the settings, assign inputs, and other important stuff, about 15 minutes worth. Pros: One control really does control everything, no batteries needed (it charges), easy to learn, has Lights on the remote for those movie nights, when you want to watch a movie to cable one button turns on the surround and the TV, and easy to set up. Cons: I have to charge it every 3 weeks for about 2-3 hours (I mostly do this when I go to work). It's It's better than having 5 remotes laying around the couch.

I have a Harmony 650 and bought a 700 to try out the rechargeable remote. I love it! I have not had issues with it ever not being charged when I need it. The harmony software loaded my 650 settings with the push of a button!

I had a little trouble setting up the remote and had to call Logitech for assistance. Once set up, it has worked fairly well, and I enjoy using it. There are still a few glitches that need attention so that more of my units respond properly. I have two Panasonic units, one BluRay and one a DVD recorder/VCR that the codes conflict. I had to reprogram the factory units so that the Bly Ray player was Unit No. 1 and the DVD/VCR player was Unit No. 2. Once this was fixed, the BluRay player came on as programmed. There are still a few more glitches that need to be addressed, most of them are my technical challenges and not the remote, per se. Good remote overall!

If your devices are line of sight this is the perfect universal remote. With the harmony software setup was a breeze. This thing even had my HDMI switch in its database completely eliminating additional remotes.
