Remote is very good and battery life is decent for rechargeable. Back light is bright. Only thing lacking is Bluetooth but for price can't complain. Got on sale for less than half of original price.

It's easy to program, and replaces 4 other remotes, maintaining all their functions. Macro activities such as turning on several devices at the same time, changing inputs are easily accomplished.

I love this remote. I have been searching for a universal remote that would work with my ilive speakers and this is the first universal remote that I have found that properly works with them. It even works with my Roku! I can Finally work my TV, Blue Ray, ilive speakers, and Roku all from one remote. I have only two small complaints. First, while it will turn the Amazon fire stick on, it will not operate it. But i can live with that. Second is that it seems to have to be reset often by hitting the help button and running through the menu again in order to keep everything in sync and working properly. However, while this is a little bit of a hassle it doesn't take much time to do.

This is a great remote if you want to get rid of ALL your other remotes. I had 5 remotes that this one replaced. Setup was pretty simple. If you don't know the model or serial numbers of your devices you can go through a quick troubleshooting process to go through codes for the brand/type of product your trying to program. A couple of reviews I saw online said the rechargeable batteries didn't last very long between charges but I've only charged them one time two months ago when I bought the remote and they're still going strong with no sign of being low on juice, and I use the remote every day. If you want to clean up your remotes, I'd highly recommend this Logitech Harmony.

This is our third Logitech remote. I'd say it's the second best, behind my Harmony One, which cost much more at the time. I've only set it up one time, but when setting up more than two activities, they don't show up on the remote in the order that i want them. For instance, i want Watch TV and Watch Movie on the first screen on the remote. Then i want Listen to Radio on the second screen. But no matter which order i add the activities, Radio always ends up on the first screen. Maybe i missed something, but the software for my Harmony One allows you to reorder how they appear on the touch screen. Not a deal breaker, but just wanted to mention it. If anyone knows how to do it, please comment.

I've been thinking about getting a Logitech Harmony remote for a while now. I currently have about 6 devices and of those 6 devices 4 of them have remotes that I have to use for various reasons. My Cable box (SA 8300HD) is my main remote, but wouldn't fully control my AV Receiver (Kenwood VR-615) It worked mostly every button except one major button.. an old Cable box remote worked that one. Then none of them worked my TV (Toshiba 32" LCD) or my Blu-ray Player (Sony BDP-S350) So I said screw it, i'm getting a Logitech Harmony remote. A good friend of mine has one and he loves it so I after much research I decided to go for the Harmony 700 after Best Buy had it on sale last week. I unboxed the remote and let it charge (took about 3 hours) in the mean time I wrote down the model numbers to all the devices I would be using. Once the charging was complete I installed the software from Logitech's website (not physically included with this particular remote) installation took a couple of minutes and then it took me through the setup wizard. Setup was a breeze and once I inputed all my devices It took me through the "Activity" setup. Activities are buttons on your remote that do multiple functions. For example the "Watch TV" button will tell the remote to switch the TV's input to whatever input you've specified, be it cable box, antenna, etc. Then it will tell the receiver to switch to the proper audio input (All of which are asked specifically during the setup wizard) the remote will then act as a hybrid. For me the remote lets me control the volume through my AV receiver and control the cable box for watching TV. Once you have all your activities setup you'll be good to go. The remote knows what to turn on and off depending on what activity you want to do. Say I'm watching TV and decide I want to play my Xbox 360, i just hit the activity button for it and it will switch my TV input to the Xbox 360, the stereo receivers output to the 360's and turn my cable box off (If I choose it to do so) The remote also controls my Xbox 360 as if it were an Xbox 360 DVD remote. If I want to go back and watch TV i just hit "Watch TV" and it shuts my Xbox off and switches everything back to the TV settings. It's very very simple and cool. I've had the remote for only about a week so I can't comment on the battery life, but according to Logitech it should last 2 to 3 weeks on a full charge. 2 rechargeable batteries are included as well. It comes with a AC Plug that has a USB input to it for charging. Also note that the Mini-USB plug isn't your standard looking plug. I've included a comparison shot of a normal Mini-USB plug and the one that it comes with, so you might want to keep a good eye out on the cable it comes with. So far this remote seems to be a fantastic purchase and does exactly what I need it to do and then some. I am very happy with my purchase.

this was purchased as a gift for someone who stayed at my house and just loved how easy it was to used verse having 2, 3, 4 or even more remotes in you living room. these are so easy to update with a usb connection on your computer and the software you can download. no more hunting through a book to try the 1-20 codes that "could" work for your device. enter all of your equipment and any activities that you want like "want a DVD" this will turn on each piece of equipment and set them to the correct settings for the function you are looking for. which is great for anyone that wants to simplify it for the people in the house (i.e. the not tech savvy ones)

This remote is pretty awesome in that you can hit one button and it will turn on all of your media devices, changing the inputs to what they need to be automatically. The one thing to keep in mind is that it essentially acts as if it is the remote for each individual device and cycles through the inputs as if you are physically pushing the button. This means that if you turn the remote away in the middle of the cycling process, you end up with a black screen as it stopped on an input you didn't want. KEEP POINTED AT THE DEVICES WHILE IT IS POWERING ON! (the entire time)

We were so sick of dealing with 5 remotes...this fixed everything. It works fantastic and hasn't failed once since we've had it. It even works with our really old Bose speakers.

The Harmony 700 is about $50 more than the Harmony 650. In essence the only difference is that the 700 will allow you to use rechargeable batteries. However battery life is much shorter A good set of alkaline batteries will power both remotes for about 3-4 months . The harmonies are great for controlling a home theatre setup and the number of devices that can be controlled is enormous and always expanding. I have not found anything that they can't do with a few limitations as to how thye implement control. A good remote for a great price.

    poor smart TV functionality

I have a smart TV (panasonic VT60), surround sound, Netflix and a PS4 mapped to this remote. Each activities button works well enough on its own; it won't control the PS4 but will set the correct input and audio. The problem comes when accessing apps on the TV. I run Netflix through the TV and it will only load 1 out of 3 times correctly as an 'activity'. Additionally, when other apps are selected, web browser or YouTube, the buttons don't provide the same functionality as the parent remote. I've tried using the device menu and then an activity. For example when watching tv and moving to YouTube the back or replay button doesn't work. It will if I select device but then the scrolling buttons and play buttons don't work correctly. I can manage it but it frustrates the life out of my wife and kids. Id only recommend to someone without smart TV functionality. My next plan is to move Netflix to the PS4 and map an activity for YouTube using the learn feature. It didn't work within the activity of Netflix.

This remote is awesome. Was wondering if it would work with the XFinity X1 DVR and it does. I ordered this online during the Black Friday sales and got it for 59.99 which I thought was a great price. It was very easy to set up and program. Nice way to combine 4 remotes into 1. We have the TV, Soundbar, DVD player and the cable box. Will definitely be waiting for a sale to buy another for our other room.
