In all seriousness my dog chewed my old Logitech Companion remote so we needed a new one. Even though Logitech has discontinued all Harmony remotes it’s just so perfect that we bought a replacement.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It doesn't even require a computer to set it up. I just downloaded an App for my phone and it took about 10 minutes to complete the setup. Everything works as it should without any issues. I would highly recommend this product to any and all.

Its ok if you keep your phone with you al the time, but I actually like the idea of seeing what you'r doing not he LCD. Also no backlight on the remote

This harmony home companion is the best universal remote you can get for the prize. Its wonderful to access your hue lights, dvr's tv, nest temp control and various apps with just one remote and the best feature of this is an app on your phone to control everything together.

I haven't used one of these before, but the blaster in the hub is great and controls most of my devices. I had two really spread out and tough to reach devices, so I also used a third party IR extender and have my system fully up & running.

Logitech got this one right ! It works and it's easy to set up - best part is RF no need to have line of sight when using it. It even was able to control my media drive.

If you have one of the older harmony remotes this is a great upgrade. Love the hub and use my echo to start activities. I would've given 5 stars if the remote was backlit.

This is my third harmony and second Companion model. I like them best because they are simple with only- buttons. I also have one with a screen but it is always changing things when I inadvertently touch it. I prefer to use my phone to change settings.

So I bought this to replace my myriad of remotes. The setup is not terribly complicated, but not "easy". The app for the phone works, but I don't prefer it. The remote setup works as well, with one big problem being that when you first start, the delay can be 30 seconds or more, which is a huge downer. You can't be sure if you actually powered it on or not so you end up hitting the power button several rimes and then 30 seconds later the tv powers on and off. All in all, it works but it could be better especially for the price.

I've tried several different devices with access to such services as Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, etc., and this device handles them better than the others in such areas as accessibility and streaming throughput. It is easy to use and simple to install. It also syncs with my various devices, which makes it handy in case I want to work on my laptop with music in the background. I can move it to my smart phone with no problem and it picks up what I had on the laptop. It also works with a tablet and on any device you have the Google Cast app installed. I would buy it if I hadn't already knowing what I know about it.

Works great. Especially our TV is in the friends place mantel and we have the cable box behind the TV. Remotes makes it easy to hide devices and no delay when operating

Great addition to my home entertainment system. It was very easy to set up and easy to add activities. I created about 15 activities to perform everything from watching Apple TV to Directv to Antenna Tv to listen to music and even watching Amazon prime on my Samsung smart tv.

If you don't have many devices hooked up to your TV (Cable box, streaming device, etc) then this will be perfect. If you want simple options then this is the remote for you.

I have used Logitech Harmony products for years. Using this is great especially since it still has the buttons to enter channels. We have the Harmony Elite in another room and in many ways I like this better since you don't have to charge it and it has buttons to enter channels.

It is a great smart remote which I got for great price. I had some difficulty syncing couple of tv remote buttons but Logitech customer service was awesome . The service rep was able to map the buttons per my request and all I had to do was just sync! Thanks, Ravi

Most of my things in my home are synced with Alexa and this thing is just so cool! I got it because my dog ate my original remote to my TV... its super expensive but hey! It's like 5 remotes in one and way easier to hide!

I have owned one of these since 2013ish and have gifted many to friends and family since that time. It is the “one” remote you have always wished could effortlessly do it all (once set up, which is pretty straightforward)

I will start by listing the things I do like about the remote. It works as advertised. I enjoy being about to control all of my devices with one remote and behind closed cabinet doors. The basis for the things that I do not like come from comparisons to older Harmony 900 and Harmony One remotes that I own. The 900 has the ability to control components behind closed doors, but it also has IR capability to control the TV. The Home Companion does not send any IR signals which means that it only sends commands to the hub. If you have the hub inside a cabinet to control your components, then you also have to connect a wired blaster and leave it outside of the cabinet in order to control the tv. Although the blaster is small, to me, it defeats the purpose of closing the cabinet doors if you still need to have a wire coming out of the cabinet. Another point of contention for me is that the Home Companion seems to have reduced versatility compared to older models. With my old remotes, after starting an activity (such as Watch TV, which turns on my TV, cable box, and receiver) I could still use the remote to control the full functions of each individual component. This can still be done with the Home Companion, but only through the app and not the remote itself which seems cumbersome. Overall, the remote does what I need it to do, but it does not seem to be as customizable as prior versions.

Setup was quite difficult. Once it was up and running then the Apple Beta was downloaded it gets the job done.
