Always loved these remotes! Too bad they don’t make them anymore I’m sure there are better ones but more expensive anyways.

When setting up activity under customize remote it would be nice to have all commands for the device, limited selection of commands. But he said it is still a really nice remote.

My elite took a little time to relearn as the buttons were in different places from my older Harmony. The program-ability is awesome. It solved some problems I had with it's flexibility. My older "Harmony one" was moved to the downstairs TV. I now live in Harmony with my wife.

Bought the Harmony remote instead of the universal remote because of the 300.00 fee just to program the remote. The Harmony remote was very easy to program with out anyones help.

I purchased this remote after my 7 year old Harmony One stopped working. Overall I like the Elite very much, and would have rated it 3.5 stars if I could have. Pros: Insanely simple setup via iPhone. RF Buttons can have 2 functions - short press / long press Haptic feedback Cons: Play / Pause / FF / REW buttons are not laid out well at all and are not intuitive to use without looking at remote (Harmony One was perfection) Battery needs to be charged every 3-4 DAYS! Overall I like it, but the button layout and positioning is really lacking.

If you have a lot of different systems to control, this remote is handy. It does take a bit to configure and setup. If you're not technologically inclined, this might not be the remote for you.

My wife said "I love this remote" - that's enough for a 5 star review. Happy wife, happy life. My wife is not technology-oriented and I like technology "that just works." This remote fit both bills - easy to setup and use. Fantastic; highly recommended.

Will only work if it the only such system in the home... can not & will not function properly when another system (2nd system of this brand / model / SKU) is installed nearby, regardless of what "shielding" hacks you can try. My cable box was hidden in a closed cabinet so our new home has a nice clean look... instead, I had to disconnect the 2nd remote & simply put the TV on top the cable box on top the cabinet & use the Cable remote, rather than have the cable box hidden from view... I'll be returning for a refund

Hi Marek, Thank you for your purchase of this Harmony remote and sorry to see you're experiencing issues with the remote. You can place the Harmony Hub inside the cabinet to control the cable box and use IR mini blaster or Remote to control the TV. If this doesn't address your concern, I'd request you to email your Harmony login id to [email protected] with more information on the difficulties you're experiencing and we'll be happy to help. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Peter, Harmony Team LogiCC

Upgrading from the ultimate was extremely easy. The software that goes with this remote is very polished. I like the dedicated home control buttons that can be mapped to outlets and/or lights.

The Last Remote You Will Ever Need

I just got a whole new home theater setup. -LG OLED55C7P 55" OLED TV -LG UP970 UHD BD Player -Onkyo TX-NR676 Receiver -Onkyo SKS-HT594 5.1.2 Speakers -Verizon FIOS STB (Cisco CHS 335 HD STB) -Roku Ultra (had this prior) I found myself looking at the 5 or so remotes on my coffee table and thinking, "There has to be a better way...". You know its bad when you pickup 3 remotes before getting the right one. I started researching universal remotes. My biggest concerns were that it work with all of my devices and that it be easy to setup and use. I had heard of the Harmony line before and my research pointed squarely at that. I dont think they really have any competition in this market. After looking at the various models I knew I wanted the Harmony 950 or the Harmony Elite (seems to be same controller but includes the hub). At MSRP I was leaning towards the 950 and then maybe buying the hub later. However, when I looked at Bestbuy they had the Elite for less then the 950 MSRP. That was a no brainer. I picked it up and havent looked back. The Harmony website makes it easy to check compatibility and even keeps a running list of the devices you enter. It was compatible with all of my gear. Setup was much easier then I thought it would be. Connect it, install an app on my phone and follow the prompts. I was impressed with the setup and the "Activities" which are essentially macros to perform multiple commands. Setting up activities is pretty easy but can also be customized. At the end it has you test the activity and verify it worked. If it doesnt, it guides you through changes and tweaks the activity until it works. For example, while creating an activity the commands had to wait for my TV and receiver to power up. During the troubleshooting it added a delay to the commands to make it work. I can now control all of my devices with 1 remote. Activities allow me to do things like turn on the TV, receiver to the proper input, BD player and start a movie with 1 "button". Ease of use was important for me, but even more so this needed to be something my wife could pickup and use (as she doesnt need any more excuses to complain about my new home theater). If you cant figure out how to use or set this up, there is a ton of information online. Worst case scenario there are services which can send someone to do it for you (which is a waste of money imo). In any case this is a solid choice if like me you need to control many devices and want a single remote that will last.

This remote is awesome. We bought a second one for a backup so we won't have to be without. It is so smart to turn everything on and off for each activity and if there is a problem help will fix it. Logitech customer assistance by phone is GREAT!

Best combo remote I've ever seen. Great ergonomics, easy to navigate. Battery life is a little less than I would like - but not a deal breaker. Also the touch screen is a little sensitive. I still think it's the best bang for the buck out there!

I'm on my 6th or so Harmony remote, this one does everything. If you need a remote to do it all, this on is for you . I control a 73" HD TV, Onkyo Receiver, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Wii U, Media Center PC, and Apple TV. This does it all pretty much flawlessly.

The easiest remote I’ve ever set up. I used my iPad and put in the model number of my electronics and it worked perfect. Creating activities is easy. Combined with Google Home you don’t even have to put the remote in your hand to make it work.

Bottom line: a no-brainer if you want/need granular control of your HT and you're willing to invest the time to properly set up. The hardware is nice and the remote feels good in the hand and the button layout is conducive to one-handed use. The initial setup is quick and easy but to get the most out of it, be prepared to spend some time configuring your activities and the buttons. If you're not one who likes to futz around with your gear, then the "benefit ceiling" is pretty low. The defaults are functional but depending on your setup, they may not be sufficient, at least to justify the price. The software is good, however, the power is masked by a clunky interface which can be overwhelming. However, once you're comfortable, it all makes sense, which is good because some activities will take a fair amount of tweaking to get perfect. For example, if you're using eARC, then there'll probably be a fair amount of trial and error to get everything to turn on and respond correctly. Functionally, the only downside is the battery life. I get at most 3 or 4 days before it needs to be recharged. The included charger works well and it's not a big deal to charge, it would just be nice to get a week out of a charge. The price may turn off some and it is a big jump from prior models. But it's worth it, especially if you want it for ALL devices including things like Fire TV stick/cube that don't work with IR. And now that Logitech has announced they're discontinuing them, they're going to be difficult to find after the current stock sells out. I actually just purchased another one as a backup.
