This is my second Harmony Elite remote & smart hub. the first is in our family room, this one for our basement movie room which we just finished If you want to have all your AV components concealed behind a door, wall, etc this is hands-down the best universal remote on the market for the money. Set-up process is super easy with their app as is any trouble shooting to get everything perfect. To get a similar set up and result you'd have to go to a custom device with professional install/programming for 2-3x the cost

At first it took a little while to get used to the new remote. The function keys/pads are small and I guess my finger too big. Some keys/pads are to close to another key/pad so there was lots of errors on my part. The key pad is sensitive so I have experienced unwanted errors when picking up of putting down the remote. Surprised that the battery charge only lasts two days before I have to put it back into the charger. It is unique as it controls all my devices. The Geek Squad set up this remote along with my Playbar and speaker system so I did not experience the setup process.

This is a great product that works well once you get it set up. I was disappointed with the Logitech technical support, however. I had a problem getting my Apple TV to work. Logitech staff said it was an Apple problem and not theirs. So I call Apple and they were not able to help me because it really was a Logitech issue. Finally, I was able to resolve the problem by getting Apple TV to recognize the Logitech remote. This should have been resolved by Logitech which would have saved me a lot of time.

I had an old remote that had to be professionally programmed. So happy Logitech finally came out with an interface that a regular homeowner can program with simple step by step instructions. I love the iOS app for control rather than reaching for the remote. I now have 2 of these for different rooms and set ups. Only issue I have is that he iOS app doesn't always recognize both remotes/different hubs. I'm sure it's a simple fix and will get it figured out soon. Otherwise, both actual remotes work great.

This remote is the 3rd Logitech Harmony remote I have purchased. I have been satisfied with all but this one takes it to a new level. Using the hub with Samsung SmartThings and Google Hub has really moved me towards a "smart home". The remote was redsigned so the buttons are more convenient (forward, stop, play). They added some additional buttons where you can now directly control lights and other devices. I highly recommend this one. Transition time was less than 15 minutes. New set up another 15-30 minutes for additional devices such as SmartThings. They work together fairly well. Logitech Harmony has provided the best stability when I compare it to SmartThings, Google, Honeywell, etc.

I like it, wife does not. I would give this 3.5 stars if I could. The good: consolidated numerous remotes, screen can be seen in dark room, holds a charge pretty well. The Bad: pricey, temperamental performance, need to work through screen options to find certain commands (ie: no numbered buttons to quickly and directly enter channels). Harmony app on iPhone pretty reliable, but we rarely use it.

This is a good remote for someone fairly familiar with Harmony activity based remotes. It's my fifth harmony so I was able to figure out customization ok. Basic programming is straight forward but adding a device like IR light switch or audio switch was a bit of a challenge. Thus only four stars instead of five. The hub controls everything just fine in my media room so no complaints there. I wish it was a little more straight forward to program. The 650 is much easier to program but overall less capable if that makes sense.

This is pretty much a prerequisite for any multi device entertainment setup. I have owned a few models from Logitech but this is the first high high end one. And I love it. It has made my entertainment system so fool proof that even my technology adverse folks can bring up SheildTV and start YouTubeTV.
Some highlights:
- Simple smartphone based setup
- Tons of customization options
- Google Nest Home / Alexa support.
- Works with smart home devices like Lutron and others to set mood lighting for movies and shows.
- LCD screen remote
- Ability to use your phone (iOS/ Android)

Got this for my husband who just wants to push one button and everything he wants to happen happens. It was setup for two options for him - watch TV and watch a movie. So simple. Got Geeksquad to set it up though. I would give it 5 stars but it has a super sensitive touch screen that sometimes becomes a problem. It is a bit pricey, but for us it's been worth it because of the no fussing out of the husband.

I asked BestBuy for their recommendation on which Harmony remote to buy to go with my new 77" LG TV. They suggested the Harmony Elite with Smart Hub.
I had the Harmony Companion with the 65" Sony TV I moved to the guest room. That was a very good remote and easy to use too.
This new one has a learning curve but I don't regret buying it at all.
It is different in that there is a touch pad and that is where you need to study up on.
No regrets here though, its a beautiful piece of tech and always reliable. Thanks BestBuy

this works great !
I have a rack in my basement and set the hip on top and it throws out a signal to all my devices on shelves below it. The handheld remote can also set signals to your TV , as I have Sonos speakers and the volume is controlled by the TV.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the fact that the remote does not have physical number keys and uses the touch pad, which can be hit or miss.

I owned an older model Logitech Harmony remote that I had to program each device, each step, etc. This new remote takes all the hassle out and turns everything on quickly.
The only drawback is that you have a charging station for the remote instead of batteries. And, sometimes it’s a little finicky when you press the touch screen... especially when I listen to music.
Other than that, I’m happy with this newer model.

I've tried lots of different remotes over the years and this Harmony Elite is the first that really works well. The extensive database of devices is one thing, but the main thing is that setup is actually easy to understand. It guides you the devices and then sets up activities that make sense.
Finally, it is just great at figuring out what devices are on the network. It even found my Mac and connected to it as a Bluetooth device. pretty neat.
Yes it's pricey, but it really does work, so in for a penny, in for a pound.

I was an owner of the original Harmony One and after 12 years the number 4 button wore out and would not respond. I did not hesitate to purchase the latest model with RFI and a cleaner screen and on screen numbers. The Geek squad sets up everything in my house so I can't talk about setup, but I will tell you it took less than an hour for him to set up my entire home theater system on the device. It works great, easy to understand and use and looks cool. What more could you ask for? I have several of the lower level Harmony units in my home and they are finicky and do not work very well, but like my old Harmony One this was money well spent!

I really like this universal remote. There were a couple of issues that needed to be ironed out to get everything functioning correctly, but it was not because of Logitech's software. I just needed to learn how some components (i.e. tv and Sonos) work within the system and adjust a setting (i.e. Turn on 'Remote Start' I think it was) on my television. I would definitely recommended this remote to anyone looking for a universal remote system that will not cost an arm and leg.

Moved from Harmony One to Elite

The transition from Harmony One to Elite has been seemless. When I logged into MyHarmony it knew all my settings from my old remote and transferred them. I, of course, made a few tweaks but programming is much easier with MyHarmony. With the One it was iffy if my TV would shut off everytime because it is IR based. With the Elite, I never have issues with power off or on since it is IR from the HUB which can be placed closer to devices. The loss of the physical keypad wasn't an issue since programming favorites along with their preinstalled logos make switching channels simple. Now, we rarely use the touchpad keyboard since the programmed channels are much easier.
