Was pretty easy to set up and use. Still trying to get some of the functions changed to work the way I want them to. The basic setup is pretty easy but if you have a complicated setup it takes a while to get things to work the way you want them to.
The setup is done through their app. I wish there was a way to do it through a web browser, I feel like that would make the process a lot easier.

I’ve had several Harmony remotes over the years because I love new technology. The Elite remote is expensive but works perfectly and even lets you control everything with your Echo. Before this, I purchased the Harmony Ultimate on Deal of the Day for $99. It was very laggy and hardly ever got all the devices switched on right. This remote works flawlessly and allows you to adjust the timing of when it turns on devices and even allows you to adjust the delay between sending signals to the different devices when starting an activity. It does take a little playing around with the settings to get everything working smoothly, but it Is well worth it.

I can't imagine my life without this remote, it allows my television and receiver system to be in completely separate rooms, all inputs controlled by the simple touch of one button or voice. If I add any equipment, its a quick change in the app. A complete travesty that Logitech discontinued this product, there is literally no competitor and will leave a complete void when they are gone. Please sell off this company division or make it subscription, would pay in a heartbeat to keep this alive.

Like what this is able to do,,,Would be nice if there was more help in the form of an instruction book with the remote. I have it hooked up to Sony 4k tv, directv dvr, hdmi, apple tv, onkyo receiver, and blu ray (all hidden behind a wall). Most things work well, but if I am watching tv and want to listen to music I have to turn off the whole system to turn on music. Customer service from Logitech is lacking,,,

As a selling and installing AUDIO VIDEO DEALER for over 30-years, we have sold and installed many brands. What our customers like MOST about this remote-control is the accompanying APP for cellphones and tablets, where the "control buttons" on your cellphone or tablet are WAY larger that the same buttons on the remote itself. (for people with FAILING VISION). Also, they like the ALEXA and GOOGLE-VOICE compatibility for VOICE-COMMANDS like "Alexa, go to channel 255", or "Alexa, open NETFLIX", or "Alexa, dim the lights in the TV-room" >>> TRY THIS and you will LIKE THIS !

In the past six (6) weeks I've had five techs visit my home to help me fully use my Harmony Elite remote. Two were from Xfinity (unhelpful); two from Best Buy (somewhat helpful); but one from Best Buy - Agent 99840, Mr. Hong Tea, (future Training Director?) was most helpful: diligent, patient, instructive.
All this is costly but is it necessarily so, or can the company invest to save for itself and the customer?
The current online "manual" is a joke. For example, the manufacturer response to a question about the battery's life offers contradictory responses. Other well intentioned responses appear to assume most if not all readers are technically savvy enough to be able to program their Elite remote!
Harmony Elite remote is a brilliant piece of "all-in-one" technology. But it needs an effective step-by-step online tutorial. Tutorial should identify each feature & benefit(s) and show "How To" maximize benefits. Instead of the current less than useful 4-minutes' musical tutorial, why not invest in a 30-minutes' illustrative step-by-step tutorial for the Harmony Elite?
The long-term benefits are likely worth the short-term investment.

More impressive than I imagined, but still very limited. I installed this for a client that insisted on it. I am normally installing more sophisticated systems.

Not a Voice Remote

This is our 4th Harmony Remote and they are great because they truly solve the problem of multiple remotes; however, if the need arises to use the equipment's original remote it sometimes messes with the Harmony programming, particularly the volume. Furthermore with any of the 4 Harmony remotes I've had, I have yet to figure out how to access the commands at the bottom of some of the screens on the TV, such as "more", "options", etc. Maybe I'm just not as technically savvy as I thought I was. More importantly, I am very disappointed that this remote is NOT a voice remote. The saleswoman told us it is and it is not. Having a voice remote after all these years is a feature that is very important to us. According to the Harmony website, it is supposed to work with Alexa but the interface is so poor it's not worth it. For example if you say "Alexa TV On" or "Alexa, Turn TV On" or 'Alexa, Watch TV", Alexa is like HUH? She doesn't understand the command. I haven't returned it because we paid for the Geek Squad services to program it and when our last Harmony remote died, we were unable to use the remote that came with the TV because Vizio discontinued our remote and they require purchase of a new Vizio remote (never buy Vizio again).

Remote was easy to program within reason. Took a few trial and error attempts but got it all going within about 45 minutes...programmed a new 75" Samsung and Samsung Blu-ray player to quickly start. A few other items inc. an Apple TV, Switch and more to sort of be on standby. All good. The main issue is the IR cables have to be right in front of the TV and Blu-ray and attached by cords...kind of harsh on the eye even if you hide best you can.

Use for my Denon avr, lg oled with fios and amazon fire. Links into my gooe assistant smart home. Can even set the lighting if I desire. Gret to just tell the TV to turn on and then change everything for fire tv. One remote if o even need one. Didnt work well with a second room since the hub turns on the other rooms gear. Have to figure that out another day. But very happy with the smart solution for my main room.

I replaced my old Pronto Pro remote that I had to program on my computer with this Harmony Elite remote. Couldn't be happier. You can customize the remote to suit your preferences. I was able to program it to do every function that I needed with all of my equipment including Infocus projector, Denon receiver, Samsung blu-ray player, Roku streaming player, HDMI switcher, Direct TV receiver DVR, and Lutron infrared light dimmers, Xbox 360 and Wii. It all works flawlessly. I did have to make an infrared flasher splitter cord so I could add a couple of flashers but they all work fine. I would highly recommend this to anyone that needs a remote to control multiple equipment. Great remote.

I bought this for the device that my technically challenged other half would have a simple way to switch from activity to activity. It works as advertised, but plan on taking some time to learn it. The hub works well and I like the fact I can use it with the remote or my I phone. We have only used some of the functions and I bought this to help finally cut the chord and to grow into using it more and more.

So far so good. My wife loves it over the Roomie app which is now Simple Control. Always have problems with Simple control because of the Global Cache WiFi blaster, it used to work awesome when it was still Roomie. I would still like to improve the Simple Control but it seems theres no one to speak with over the phone about the new blasters they sell. I would love it if i could integrate a better ir blaster with Simple Control. The Harmony is headed in the right direction but it is very expensive. My old Harmony One was awesome and had a physical number pad that i miss. Other than that it works awesome. I plan on getting some hue lights to be able to control with the Harmony as well.

We use the Harmony Smart remotes throughout our home. It's the best solution when you have multiple devices to power on. The latest edition of the remote is great. My only complaint with the Harmony is the iPhone app. Its very clunky and outdated. I also wish Harmony would release the ability to control RF devices (currently only does IR). Other than those, its a great device. I've never had any issues with the multiple harmony remotes we have.

This new Elite model has better balance and is easier to hold while using. It works great now, but after installed by Geek Squad, it stopped working properly with my cable box after about 4 days. It would communicate with everything else, but stopped communicating with my AT&T Cable Box, which was very frustrating. Fortunately I called Logitech customer service, who had live help on the weekends and they were able to make some changes remotely, perform a sync after the change, now it works perfectly.

This is a very expensive universal remote with a few extra features. I am perfectly fine with using the app on the phone. The remote is glitchy at times and does not switch inputs as I would like. I have to manually go in and change it. Battery is intermittently not charging. Gave it 4 stars because it is a fun toy and I like to show it off to guests...When it works that is.

Fantastic and very intuitive when it works, but need to be a member of the Geek Squad to program it. After 1 day, it stopped working and I could not sync it or change the channel. The Geek Squad came out the very next day and showed me that I needed to unplug and plug back in my cable box. For some reason, it needed to be reset. Has worked fine for the next 3 days.

First off yes this is spendy. But I got it for $100 off in a Best Buy store so if pays to check in stores, wasn't a deal online. A friend of recommended the Harmony Remotes as it "ties it all together" He couldn't have been more right. I also didn't think I needed or wanted the Hub but man Im glad I did! As I added a Lifx white bulb in a lamp and thats a nice feature. Don't have to get up to turn on the light! Its got a bit of a learning curve especially if its your first harmony. I def won't ever be without a Harmony remote! I also bought the Harmony 650 which is a much simpler model to use and its SO easy to use logitech software on both remotes.

This remote took a couple of weeks to get use to as the remote is very sensitive to the touch. We now know it's features and how to use it. If you get this remote, don't give up...just practice using it. I would recommend the company make a larger remote with larger display features for easier usage. The remote is especially difficult for individuals that are seniors or that have large fingers. A voice activation aspect would also be extremely helpful and memory keys to go to your favorite locations.
