Remote does not meet our expectations. Keys are real small and it the DVR is on while the TV is off, it takes many attempts to get TV to turn on. It is difficult to get the touch correct on the number pad, start TV screen and favorites so you get what you want The number pad is the most difficult to get the right numbers. We have had the remote for 3 weeks and still have difficult getting the right "touch".
Would not recommend to anyone who needs glasses to read.

I bought this universal remote because I wanted a powerful radio frequency unit that did not exclude user programming. Other top end units sold by Best Buy are Geek Squad only programming and require them to make any updates or changes. The Logitech Elite can be Geek Squad programmed or you can do it yourself. The problem is that some of the prepackaged Logitech files are missing important buttons or have mis programmed buttons requiring the user to make slow painstaking additions and corrections. One time after adding a new device and removing an old one, the unit locked up requiring a wipe and reload. There is no way to test new commands or changes on the fly without loading them to the remote and the using it to test. Errors and modifications then require that the changes be made on line and uploaded to the remote to retest. This iterative process can be slow and tedious. There are no provisions to create your own button layout. The command structure behind buttons is too limited. No good bitmap database is provided for button icons for favorite channels, etc. I would recommend this unit but with A BIG ASTERISK .

It took three trips to my house and finally Kyle figured out to avoid the repetitive errors. he had to create a second Message with the delay to my receiver. Prior to that the learning function never learned and after that it has worked very nicely. Be sure and have them give you a thorough walk-through because there is no manual and there are someAspects of this what you need to know

This is my 4th harmony remote over the years. This one is everything its cracked up to be and more. Much easier to configure, better button placement, home automation support and solid build quality. My ultimate died from an unknown reason so it was replaced with this one. Thanks to the IR blasters I no longer have to hit the help button to fix my activity every other time. Response also seems instantaneous compared to the ultimate. It is pricey for a remote but after an amazon price match and 2 reward zone coupons I cant complain for 70 bucks. Transferring my old settings and configuring new ones were a breeze using the app. Every generation seems to get better.

I got the remote to replace 4 remotes and to work with my Google Home. In addition the IR blasters allows me to hide my components that are line of sight. I found that the interface is pretty logical but too complicated for my wife. I set up activities but they don't work consistently enough to make it a 5 star product. I find that my wife has pulled out the old remotes as opposed to using the Harmony. I plan to rerun the setup again this weekend to see if it improves.

Im still learning how to set this up but the initial setup was straight forward. It synced up with My Samsung, Sony, Bose and SmartThings Hub pretty quickly. Now I am trying to add additional steps so it goes straight to my You Tube TV.
I have owned 3 other Logitech remotes and this is the best one yet. Controls my entertainment and lights as expected.

I'd given up on Harmony due to bad experiences in the past, but the newer model is a big improvement. Still not perfect, but it will do the job. Totally revamped my home theater and put all components on the other side of a wall except for the TV and speakers. A very clean look. Harmony with Hub allows control of everything from the viewing position (except, of course, putting the Blu rays in the player!) I like it.

This represents the current state of the art for remotes. I like having the ability to use the remote or the ipad or iphone all interchangeably.
For AV use I have it connected to the tv, Sonos, blu ray player, and U-verse box.
The main advance is for smart home use. I have 30 Insteon light switches as well as 2 Honeywell thermostats connected with this remote.
If we have a movie night we can turn it on, adjust the temperature, and turn off all but the ambient lights.
The only downside is that an IR node has to come out of the cabinet for tv and Sonos use. The older Logitech remote had everything hidden in the cabinet.

This really is the best activity-based remote on the market. It's such a shame that Logitech decided to stop production of the Harmony line. I use this remote to control my entire Home Theatre, include AV receiver, TV, cable box, Apple TV, Blu-ray player, video game consoles, etc. Works seamlessly.
The only criticism I have is that I wish it supported Apple HomeKit (like it does for Alexa). I'd love to be able to say, "Hey Siri, turn on the TV to channel 7".

Nice but ergonomics awkward

The Logitech - Harmony Elite Universal Remote does a good job of connecting all of my components. But its ergonomics prove to be awkward in use. Its weight is at its bottom and the keypad is at its top. Its shape is rounded so it will not lie flat when placed on a flat surface. My large male fingers often have difficulty selecting the numbers on its keypad. When I am trying to enter a channel with 3 numbers, it often drops 1 or 2 numbers so I am constantly re-entering the numbers of get all 3 selected. And sometimes the keypad doesn't accept a number when I press it while at other times it is so sensitive the same number is twice selected. Now, I try to press each number sequence slowly waiting for the number to appear on the screen before pressing the next number.

I love the concept of how this works and have used Harmony for years ( this is an upgrade). I do feel like it still has some quirks. For instance, I have a new Denon 4500 AVR and it wouldn’t control the volume. After much online research, I decided to change the device to the 4700 and it worked. I was relieved it worked. But frustrated that I had to improvise.

I first bought one of these remote about two years ago just to try it out on my television. I was so impressed how easy it was to program, after a few days of just learning the remote I decided to see if it was possible for me to try to program a second television with the same remote which I did, I connect it to my wife very simple so now I can turn off and on any television in my house anywhere in side my home signal goes throw wall, bricks ceiling garage. I can change channel from anywhere my wifi reaches inside my home including stereo system. It a smart remote love it

Relatively easy to setup. Took me about an hour. The remote is substantial and made of good materials. The LED display is reasonable and the remote functions are good. I use it to control a smart TV, blu ray player and an amplifier.
The hub works relatively weill inside the TV cabinet. I like that this remote comes with a free APP that mimics the same functions found on the remote control.
Overall a solid and elegant remote control.

One remote to control them all

This remote has enabled me to use one device to control a smart TV, DVR, stereo receiver, Roku, and DVD and CD players. It takes some getting used to the sensitivity of the touch screen (occasionally a slight brush will change the channel or turn a different device on), but this is a minor drawback compared to the advantage of having one remote to control all. I also like the ability to program favorite channels with their respective logos, which makes switching channels much earier.

This product has been effective in allowing for the concealment of audio/video components in an adjacent closet for a neat & clean appearance. Most IR remotes would render this option implausible. This remote, however, is not without quirks and occasionally requires you to have to select components multiple times, instead of once, to make it work.

This is a great remote. That said, they've over engineered it and removed keypad buttons in place of a multi-menu screen to page though. Main gripe is number pad buttons are gone & need to page through display screen to get them. I liked old Harmony One keypad layout better but had to replace when screen cracked. Very inconvenient but still great functionality overall.

I bought a second one just in case our first remote were to stop working. That’s how much we love our Harmony remote. My husband programmed it so it’s really easy to use. Controls all our systems, even our lights. Instead of 6 remotes we just use one!
I don’t know whether it’s complicated to program it but my husband has used Harmony for years.

Spend an entire day getting it set up. Needed Tech Support's help. The remote does what it is supposed to do.
My entire system is behind a closed door and every component responds to the hub and IR blasters as designed. It does work with the Amazon Firestick (via Bluetooth).
If I get a new component, I should be able to add it in.
Haven't figure out some of the light control features, yet.

This replaced a Harmony 650 that was temperamental. This can also be a little flaky, but generally works much better. The activity and device settings transferred fairly easily from my old setup.
The only gripe I have is limited ability to customize the screens on the display after you've selected an activity. I would like to be able to determine which screen appears by default, rather than using whatever they choose for me.
All in all, I'm pretty happy with this.

The Best Universal Remote

My Harmony 1100 died after 6 years. I hesitated going to the Elite unit. Did not see how it could improve on the 1100. Glad I did. Was easy to set up. Easier than the 1100. The Remote Hub allowed me to remove all of the cables that were used to communicate to the infrared ports on the devices for the 1100, The unit is great because it communicates both infrared and wirelessly. My TV is the only device in the room so infrared is for that. Also easy to reprogram the keys. had to add a 30 second jump key for my DVR. Handles my Direct TV, Tuner/Amplifier, DVD Player, Roku, and XBOX. They are all in the front hall clothes closet.
