Logitech - Harmony Ultimate One Remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Harmony remote. I have had great success with the first one to control all my main media room equipment. This remote is being used in my family room setup. Harmony has a good setup assist application online and it was not difficult to set up the remotes and also go back and make changes when you want.

Great Remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a good remote, sometimes because of the layout you may hit a button by accident but it does function well. I used to use a Philips pronto so this has been an adjustment.

great remote, does way more than I expected.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came in to replace my remote because it broke and was under warranty. The model I had was obsolete, so best buy refunded the money and I was able to get another remote that is awesome! After I figured it out.

Very good universal remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Harmony One was simple to set up and is operating 5 components. There are a few sub functions that aren't as easy/simple to set up, but so far I've been able to hack my way through, for the most part.

Easy to program
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Between remotes for my cable box, smart TV, AVR and Blu-ray player, I was having to use at least 3 different remotes constantly. I picked this Harmony remote up on a Black Friday sale and it works great. The on-line app makes it a breeze to program. Although it won't completely replace your other remotes, it at least consolidates the most used functions. My only gripe is the placement of the buttons for volume control and channel section. They are located at the bottom of the remote making it a bit awkward to hold and press the buttons at the same time. I guess they expect you to use the touch screen more, but the buttons are quicker to access.

This is truly Universal.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A lot of remotes try to be universal but with so many you have to keep the remote for each component handy just in case. With this intuitive product storing individual remotes at hand becomes much less necessary. I have a fairly complicated 4K system with big speakers and all the usual components and only limited tech knowledge myself so I definitely needed the Geek Squad to program it. This is my second one and it's even better than the first that I got with the system just over 2 years ago. Only a 2 year warranty was offered with the first and it gave out just after 2 years so I had to pay for the whole thing plus the installation. I think someone knew something that I didn't when they only offered 2 years. This is my only complaint.

Great Remote to control all of your video devices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: The Harmony Remote handles all TV Sound Bars DVD VHS devices. It makes switching from device to device very simple. My wife always had trouble when trying to switch back to TV from watching a DVD this product make the process easy. Cons: One issue it is very sensitive, can be fat fingered easily which is frustrating some times. You need to learn to be accurate and move quickly, do not pause on the buttons. Another issue comes from the battery which you can't top off the charge nightly must let it run down over a number of days so it doesn't get a short memory. I was told it is not a replaceable battery which it should be. A little pricey if the battery can't be replaced in a few years.

They just keep making it better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using Harmony Remote for years. The Ultimate One is my latest upgrade as my 888 died. I am now using 3 of these. This series is by far the easiest to program and update. The online software talks you through setup, you just have to know your equipment and what inputs you're using. Setup should take no more then 20-30 minutes.

Nice Remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Remote was very easy to setup. Using the remote to control receiver, DVD, TV and Tivo. Coming from the Tivo remote takes some time to get used to, but haven't found any loss of functionality so far.

Great purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a two HDMI TV and multiple devices that require a switch. The TV is mounted above a fireplace with limited access to components. The remote allows me to change to any device by just choosing an action. If u have the switch, make sure you get a remote control one. Remote is easy to set up an easy to use. Great purchase!

Simpler is Challenging
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Harmony remote provides to user's one remote to operate each of their watching and listening devices. No reason to use the TV remote, no reason to use the cable remote, no reason to use the sound bar remote, no reason to use the blue-ray player remote; not four (4) remotes laying around, now you have just One (1), the Harmony Remote. Sounds nice, it is.... yet a challenge to set up; ours took two trips of two hours each (by the "GEEK SQUAD") to get it to work right and it does. Change cleans up your coffee table and with a little practice You won't even remember where those other remotes are. Your entertainment life will be one filled with Harmony. Good choice, Good Buy.

Great Remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Logitech remote that I have own. Has a glitch with working with Apple TV but I reprogrammed it and now it works fine. Only downside is it doesn't warn you when the battery is about to die.

Great remote for Great Room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.very easy to program and the overall look goes great with living room decor...I got this unit on a very good sale so I decided to take the plunge...very glad I did. If I had one complaint it would be that the touchscreen is very sensitive sometimes and I seem to hit it by accident more than I would like. Overall happy with the unit and would say it best feature is the easy to use programming software

New remote is good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We replaced a 10 year old harmony remote because it was worn out. The new one is good, controls all of our components. We had it installed by the geek squad, too complicated to do on our own.

Darn good remotin'
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I don't have cable and use an XBox 360, plus a sound bar, watching TV used to be a three-remote affair, with all three having to be out if I wanted to change shows, change the volume, or power off any given device. I looked up universal remotes, and although a bit pricey, the Harmony One supported all my devices, and allowed me to program functionality on all of my devices into a single activity that I call "Watch TV." Now when I hit the "Watch TV" icon on the little LED screen, the TV, sound bar, and XBox all turn on at the same time, on the settings I would need to watch my shows. Furthermore, I don't need to switch to "modes" when using different devices, each button can be programmed to activate a device's function independent of the other devices in the chain. It is so massively convenient that even my tech-illerate mom could figure it out without any instruction from me.

Still needs tweaking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It takes several attempts at programming to get it to react to the way you think. In other words, to make it truly suit your needs. Then once it's done, the touch screen can be accidentally pressed at any time throwing the system out of wack. However, there isn't another remote that is currently being made, that is fairly affordable and can be easily programmable. That's why it gets four stars.

Better than I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have never used a Harmony remote, but you have several remotes you do use to control your TV and movie-watching activities, I whole-heartedly recommend this or any other Harmony remote to you. It has fairly simple, web-based programming to allow you to integrate the control of up to fifteen devices into an activity-based set of commands. Watch TV? It will turn on the applicable devices and change the settings on each so you can change the station, view the guide, change the volume, etc. using just the buttons on one remote. Watch a DVD? same deal, plus all the menu, chapter skip, FF, RW, etc. commands. Listen to music? Ditto. Whether you listen to CDs, a radio station or some other source, all the control you need is programmed into one remote for ease of use. It simplifies the operation of a home theater for all members of the family. I am not new to Harmony remotes, having used several models over the last 15 years. For my purposes, they started going downhill after the Harmony One, introduced in 2008 and discontinued a few years later. My last One is starting to lose some of its numeric buttons, so, in spite of the less-than-stellar reviews I have read about the latest Harmony models, I decided to take advantage of a BB deal-of-the-day and order this unit. What I most objected to (based on reviews) was the lack of a numeric keypad, because I use it constantly to move around in the DirecTV guide. As I now know, the Ultimate One DOES have a numeric pad, just not using hard buttons. It is included as one of the screens accessible in the center lcd area. While not as convenient as hard buttons, it is pretty easy to get to and does work well. The Ultimate One is shaped quite differently than the old One, making it feel a little awkward in my hand, but I am getting used to it and expect this will be a non-issue shortly. Also, the button layout is very different than all the previous models I've used, so I still have to actually look at the remote to press the buttons I want, but that, too, is starting to get better. I do wish the 'off' button was a little farther away from the 'rewind' button, though. If you have never used a Harmony remote, none of this will bother you. If you have used previous models and are hesitant about switching to the new ones, I think you will be as pleasantly surprised as I am once you get used to the changes. The Ultimate One actually does have all the functionality of the older models, just with a different interface. It is too early for me to comment on its durability, but I suspect the number buttons that used to wear out on the older versions will continue to work on this model for as long as the lcd lights up. Bottom line, I expected this unit to be more difficult to use than what I am used to, and I expected to not like it. I am happy to say I was wrong on both counts. It IS different than the older models, but not worse. I'm actually starting to like it better.

Good remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like remote it is great!!! But like a smart remote not so good!!! Try to use with my smart light and finally I use my iPhone. You can turn on or off your light. You can't create your own scene. Otherwise super cool remote. But I Want to use it for everything and make decision to return it.
