Great keyboard for fast typing. The resistance, key travel, etc. are just right for me. There is no audible click with these mechanical keys, but you still get a solid tapping noise just from normal typing. Really no complaints. I would get this keyboard again in a heartbeat.

Cherry MX red switches!!!!! Love love love this keyboard. Feels like a $500 keyboard, back lighting is sleek, color is sleek and just overall outstanding performance. I absolutely hate new keyboard with pressure pads. If you’re looking for a clicky keyboard and don’t want to spend hundred and hundreds of wasteful dollars then this is the one for you.

I prefer plug in keyboards to Bluetooth and this works great. The numerical part is essential for anyone who works with numbers. I also prefer the mechanical feel of the keys.

I really like this keyboard. It is illuminated and since it is mechanical it makes clicking sounds so I know I have hit the right keys.

Nice Keyboard With a Few Quirks

This review is on the Logitech K845 Red, Model Number 920-009859 keyboard. I was seeking a backlit keyboard and always liked mechanical boards from back in the day, so this board seemed to be my huckleberry after some research. My initial reaction after 24 hours of use is it's great buy at $59.00 plus tax. Tactile feel is great, typing is very easy without any difficulty, clicking noise is more than enough and I love the ability to control the intensity of the backlit keys. The 3 levels are well designed as lighting can change and the levels are just right for me. It doesn't take a lot of effort to type as the keyboard pressure feels just right for me. The clicking sound the board exhibits is not excessively loud. In my personal situation, a louder keyboard would not suffice. The K845 Red IMO is a keeper for an everyday user like me who doesn't game. As noted, I am very fond of this board, but it's not without a few personal quirks: My first quirk is I wanted to try the other keyboards in this Logitech series catalog. There's the Blue, Brown, Red, Cherry MX Red and Cherry MX Blue. There are descriptions on the Logitech web site, but the description does not convey the experience of sitting at the keyboard and feeling and hearing the differences between them. Unfortunately, it was impossible to explore the differences because Best Buy like many brick and mortar stores have minimal inventory due to uncontrollable supply chain factors, in the second year of the virus. There weren't any L845 boards on display to even test. I'll never know what the other keyboards offer unless I make it a mission to spend the time and find out how they function. However, it's not on the agenda. One more item I'm not fond of is the font style they use on the board. I've read this on some of the other reviews and wholeheartedly agree with that comment. It's just a weird font, but it's not a deal breaker. Few products are perfect, but I recommend the K845 Red. Cost, performance and features are inline for a keyboard at this level.

    Comfy but LOUD

The "responsive" switches correspond to TTC Browns which is Logitech's house brand of Cherry MX Browns. Everyone has a preference and these are clicky, snappy, there's a fair bit of travel for key slappers like me. And all my other key slappers, this thing is LOUD, even for browns. It's because the keys will collide with the aluminum top of the board. I love it, but this is super subjective. I would NOT recommend this for office use or if you shared a kitchen table home office with a partner/roommate. But if you're in your own personal nerd cave and want a slappy, responsive mechanical keyboard for $60, this is the one.

I’m a pretty inconspicuous, low key person, and I love this keyboard. I’ve wanted a mechanical keyboard for years, but couldn’t justify a flashing RGB board that ruined my professional style. This keyboard is perfect because it’s sleek and professional looking, while still having all the positive qualities of a mechanical keyboard. The key presses feel heavy (which is a good thing), and the board is responsive with a low latency. If you consider yourself a “professional” person, who needs a good quality keyboard without the whistles and bells, I cannot not recommend this enough

This keyboard is really different from other keyboards. The keys are not hard to press, but you have to push the keys farther down then the standard keyboards. I make far less typos because of this. On the standard keyboards I would sometimes hit 2 keys at the same time when typing fast because I couldn't tell when I was touching one or two keys. The keyboard has different settings for lights which comes in handy. You can turn them off during the day if you want. I had to submit a support ticket to Logitech because I was unable to find a driver for it. Their response was that the driver is internal in the keyboard. That is a new one on me. There is another model that is very close to this one and it has a driver for it. I think it was the K840 model.

Affordable mechanical keyboard from Logitech. The footprint is small around a full-size, right-spaced keyboard. All the keys fall readily to hand if you've used desktop keyboards over the last 40 years. Three choices in key click feel/sound and the choice of Logitech or Cherry switches. It's all here. I've used for over a year and it's still as satisfying as day one. I also get lots of comments about my key click in the office.

My keyboard was dying out, so it was time to get a new one. I've never used a logitech keyboard before, but I've used their other products and figured, why not? Well, I have to say this is a great keyboard that's sturdy and of good quality AND it lights up! Outside of it being beautiful, the keys have a nice click that is loud while also giving that click feeling. If either of things bother you, this may not be the keyboard for you, but otherwise I'd say go for it.

The Good: -simple design that doesnt look over the top -blue switches provide a satisfying click with great feedback -board body is aluminum, giving it a premium feel The Bad: -switches can not be removed/replaced -function key symbols do not light up -no user manual included, so you have to figure out all the functions yourself or look it up -the indicator lights for the number/caps/screen locks do not dim along with the rest of the keyboard if you turn down the backlight brightness. Could be a non-issue for most but for some, especially those in a dark room might find it glaring The Ugly: -the @ symbol on the keyboard just looks weird lol

good keyboard in all ways but one.. Both control keys have become yellowed after about a year of use (no food or drink spilled on or near the keyboard). Just both control keys, not any of the other keys. Ive probably pressed the right control key 3 times in my entire ownership of the keyboard so this is a very strange issue to have.

This keyboard is exactly what I was looking for. I like the fact that it comes with a backlight so I don't need any other lights on to see the keyboard, the backlighting is very bright I have no issues seeing the keys. The other thing I like about this keyboard is that the numbers letters on the keys are big enough that the light shines through, again making it easy to see at night or in dimly lit rooms. The feel of the keyboard is sturdy, I believe this is since it has a metal surface. I like the feel of the keys that respond very well some people don't like the clicking sound I'm not bothered by it. My only complaint would be that the caps lock light is blocked by the number pad key. I had no issue with the plug and play the function of the keyboard. As soon as I plugged in my computer was able to read the keyboard with these there was no need to download any other additional software or ask for assistance from Logitech. Other thoughts, This is a great all-around keyboard for the price point I am very surprised at how sturdy it feels I feel like I got my money’s worth with this keyboard. Other keyboards I have used in the past felt flimsy they didn't feel like they were strong they didn't fight they're going to last a long time. So I think this will be a very durable keyboard for the long term especially since I work from home.
