The Mevo Start is a great entry level camera for live streaming and/or recording your events. It is intended to be a single camera operation and does well in providing a maximum amount of versatility. All configuration and live use is done through an app on your phone or tablet. I would recommend a tablet, especially during live use when streaming or recording. The larger screen size makes it easier. The ability to zoom into a portion of the screen and move and resize live is really great. Make it feel like you have multiple cameras or a PTZ camera. The options for sound are great. Allowing you to use the built in microphone, connect to external sound source, and even use a phone as mic. You can easily monitor and adjust incoming and outgoing sound level. It is not hard to learn how to use. I do recommend you spend some time playing with it, especially in the setting you will be using. You can then set some of the parameters like max zoom size to fit with what you are doing. Setup takes a little getting used to. But once you figure it out it is a snap. The Mevo can connect to your phone or tablet via WiFi, hotspot, or blue tooth for setup. The camera works well with WiFi alone and if you wireless network is good you should not have any issues. There is an optional ethernet adapter that is PoE capable. I use the ethernet adapter to guarantee the best network connection for the Mevo and to keep wireless bandwidth free for other use. The Mevo Start can also be an NDI-HX video source and works well with OBS.

Works excellent. Camera was clear. Easy to use.

Setting up is a little challenging but definitely learnable. You will need to update the video title with each use. I just copy and past from GameChanger. The camera coverage works, (it covers from base to base) but I wish it covered just a few more feet on each side. Once set up you can walk away and it's not contingent on your setup device for the whole game. Parents have nothing but good things to say about the picture quality.

Hands down, the best solution for one-man shows. Good quality with the ability to scale into more. I plan to purchase another camera or 2 so that I maximize all camera angles. The feature to do auto jump cuts is awesome as well. I highly recommend.

Great video quality. I use it to livestream softball games and it’s a very clear picture. The only thing I dislike is that you have to keep the app open while it’s live-streaming so you can’t use your phone for the duration of the event. It’s easy to connect to GameChanger and Facebook. The bottom where it connects to a stand broke within a couple months of using it, but luckily Best Buy was great and exchanged it for a brand new one!

This is a great camera. We use it for the kids sports and the picture quality is amazing.

I absolutely love this camera! We have been using it for a couple of months now. I am a pastor of a small church, and I am able to run this stream and monitor it on the fly while I preach! The auto-pilot setting is like having someone on camera, changing up shots and keeping things interesting-zooming in and out. It will actually follow the face of the person speaking, so if I walk around or go to the piano it will follow me there. It has a very wide field of view. The picture itself is very clean and defined. The audio is amazing, it sounds like an external mic. For a small church or organization, you cannot beat the Mevo Start for a quality live stream or recording. Also-I highly recommend the Mevo stand that is made for this. You can use other tripods, etc but it is very well built and adds a lot of versatility to the camera-definitely worth the extra money to get the one built for it. There are lots of good tutorials online. My training was to get in a room for a couple of hours and practice streaming. Record , watch learn, modify. It's all very intuitive but there are a couple of options and features to learn.

I'm new to the streaming world and the Nevo is an easy camera to set up and start streaming with. The only down fall is that its not water resistant.

I use this camera to stream baseball games on Game Changer. The video quality is excellent. Setting the camera up is a bit confusing at first because there are three apps, and it's not clear which one to use. THE TWO BIGGEST ISSUES THAT I HAVE WITH THIS CAMERA. I cannot stream and keep score on Game Changer with an iPhone at the same time. This means I need two phones. When my second phone is streaming, the app needs to stay open, so the phone can only do one thing.

The concept is great for sharing live video. But, HDMI is missing for connection to a big screen. Still a great camera.

This Mevo Start is ok for small areas like living room or offices where you do not need to crop a lot, Not for worship auditorium wich I intended to use it, when crop, you loose quality, also required good service of internet for wireless operation, if not you need to spend extra hundreds to buy PoE adapter and miss mobility. I tested at home, excellent, then tested at church, it did not work for my purpose.

Right out of the box to setting up for use was smooth and efficient, quality of picture was good. Forgot to purchase sd card, but once i did.......all gasssssss

I love this system! I bout this for a remote wedding and I believe this will work perfectly. You can record and stream at them same time. and the quality is good enough for streaming

Perfect compliment to GameChanger. As long as you have a good cellular connection it works well. The setup with GameChanger is ver easy and the reliability of the stream has been perfect. If you use GameChanger, then this camera is a no brainer.

Over all one of the best for streaming! Does have an issue when going to sleep sometimes of losing connection. And can be a hassle if you are trying to stream. Cause you have to restart it and the app, but still much easier than the other options out there!

This is a decent to good action camera for live streaming only. The resolution is only 1080p so if you're not going to be streaming content just get a GoPro. For streaming live sports the camera is perfect. The biggest issue is the software which can be buggy.
