This seems to be be more reliable than the Logitech trackball. It is a nice compact size. It works with the Logitech Unifying receiver, so if you have also a Logitech wireless keyboard they can share the receiver and free up a USB port. Like many wireless devices it works better when it has line of sight, so if you have a desktop computer it is better to plug the receiver into a front port.
