    Good Headset

I bought this item as a new headset, used primarily for gaming on my laptop. It is by far the most comfortable headset I have ever worn. I gamed for hours and did not get any discomfort from wearing them. They are non-intrusive to to wear and I often forgot that I was wearing them. The sound is really good considering the type of headphones, but it could have a little more bass capability. The microphone boom is located well and is not in my peripheral vision. They are completely adjustable and were easy to get positioned correctly. The back strap does not actually support the headphones, which was nice since it does not rest on the back of my neck like other sets do. Another nice feature is the carrying case which comes with the product. I travel frequently and have a bag full of things. Previous headsets (even "laptop" headsets) have only had a way of folding up, but not a protective case. The case is rugged and I think will stand up to the pounding in my bag.

Very Comfortable, Good Headset for VR

I use a voice recognition program (the one that comes with Windows 7 is the one I use) to type because I have carpal tunnel in both wrists. The quality of the microphone that you use with a voice recognition program will greatly affect the accuracy that it has in recognizing what you say. Unfortunately, I'm not very knowledgeable about sound quality or the specifications to look for in a microphone, so I was lost as to which headset to buy among the dozens out there. Well, I was in a Best Buy store looking at their very limited selection of head sets and microphones, when I saw this headset, one that was specifically designed for laptops and that had a carrying case. As I had just recently bought a laptop, and most of my work was going to be done in different locations, the portability factor was a big plus. However, I wouldn't have bought it if the sales associate hadn't told me that I could return it within 30 days if I didn't like it. Anyway, I bought it. Pros: - Works great with the voice recognition software that I use (high accuracy) - VERY comfortable. I could wear these things indefinitely if I needed to. - I can use it to listen to my mp3 player because it has a 3.5 mm jack (good sound quality). - The cord is light, unlike the gargantuan cord on the USB headset I used previously. - They look pretty cool, although I won't be caught wearing them on the street to listen to my mp3 player (It would be awesome if you could remove the microphone for this purpose, as long as it wouldn't compromise the quality of the sound input). - The carrying case has a pretty low profile in my back pack and is very sturdy. - They seem to be well made - they haven't broken on me yet (1 month of heavy use). - In-line microphone mute and volume control. - Comes with a USB adapter, but I haven't used it. Cons: - There really isn't anything wrong with them, but I would it love if the microphone could detach. Then they would be excellent headphones, too. I've been pleased with probably everything I've gotten from Logitech.

    Keep the reciept!

Hi There, I'm usually don't write in these kind of things but here's some feedback in case you're thinking of buying this product. First of all keep the receipt so that if this thing breaks you can call Logitech and have them replace it under the 2 year warranty. I have been through two of these headsets and here are the things I like: I used this headset everyday for about 3-5 hours a day to talk to my fiance everyday who lives overseas. The sound quality is great. She can hear my voice clearly and I can hear hers just as clearly. The headset is comfortable even when laying down. The earpieces are adjustable unlike other headsets that wrap around the back of the head. The headset folds down and is very portable which is appreciated especially if you're a gadget lover like me who sometimes hits the road with two cell phones, an ipod, a psp, a digital camera, and a camcorder. Can you imagine all the chargers that goes with all of these? Anyway the portability is definitely appreciated. The two year warranty but you need to keep the receipt. Here's what I don't like. The price, in my opinion this headset costs too much but it is amongst the few in this category that fold down so maybe to you it will be worth it. I don't think this headset is very durable. One day the microphone on mine stopped working. The foam on the earpiece also wore down and eventually ripped although please note that this was after awhile and I do use this thing everyday. Anyway I hope this was helpful.

Good Mic. Isn't in anyway poor, bad, or otherwise

I know it is hard to believe right? That something made of plastic, metal, and rubber can be broken. Well enough semantics lets get down to it. (FOR MY RECOMMENDATION CONCLUSION OF THIS PRODUCT JUST SCROLL TO BOTTOM) First of all anyone who says that this headset isn't a good value for the money isn't too bright [Filtered] or just hasn't tried it yet. Lets hear the facts: It folds up nicely so that it is harder to damage. It has a hard plastic carrying case that you can put it into (though it is rather bulky so some people might just not use it, so what i have to say to them is that I hope you bought the warranty when your friend of big stature [Filtered] sits on it). Anyway it also has voice canceling, which is nice, and by the way it works like a charm too. Also it comes with a USB adapter (Converts Mic and Earphone jack into one USB plug) which is easily a $10 value and can be useful in a number of ways. And as for the $60.00 price tag that some people are whining about lets put this into perspective: As far as I know this is one of the only headsets around that can fold up nicely for transportation (with or without the carrying case) which is perfect for laptop bags. If there are others they are few and far between and would most likely be more expensive and have less quality. That said the average 'normal' low-end headset costs about $30 (Please don't try to convince yourself that the average is less, yes there are headsets less than $30 but really most of them, especially if $20 or less, are less the low end quality headsets). This leaves a $30 difference between this headset and the other headsets. $15 can be made up through just the USB adapter and Carrying case. This leaves $15 left. Now that is where I would say the difference between this headset (which is roughly a medium end to medium-high end headset) would come in. Plus the fact that it can fold up nicely and I haven't even gotten to its durability yet which is pretty good. Even if you don't care about the USB adapter and carrying case I would still have to say that its quality and durability (which i will go into in a little bit) more than makes up for the $30 difference. Ok, now the durability. Besides the fact that the entire design is made so that the headset doesn't break easily and it has a carrying case the headset is pretty durable. The mic itself is made of hard plastic and doesn't bend so right there is a plus (AND NOT NEGATIVE AT ALL, the mic picks up your voice fine without the need to bend and still has a 270 degree swivel). Also I have a first-hand experience with the durability when i constantly trip over the headset, pulling the wires to its brink and moving my laptop a foot in the process (this happened about 12 times) and still the things wouldn't break. That is until one day (on the 12th time) when i tripped over the mic it didn't want to let go of my foot which made me drag it and my laptop about 4 ft. Yeah, then it broke, but not entirely. Actually only the speaker jack wire was damaged so I was still able to talk with it. Now if you think that shouldn't have broke the mic, then I would like you to tell me what mic would have survived that abuse.... I am waiting..... yeah that is right there isn't one so just stop thinking so hard. It really wasn't that bad though all i had to do is drive to best buy, say my speakers on my mic don't work, and voila i had my mic again (Could be the same for you if you buy the pretty cheap 2 yr warranty). With that said the rest is really a matter of opinion and really can't be generally judged. The sound quality I think is pretty good, but then again i don't go out and buy $150 ear buds from Bose or anything. The comfort I would have to say is moderately high. For the first 2 months or so I had some discomfort when wearing the mic for 4+ hours, but that eventually went away (This is mostly due to the headset being stiff when right out of the package, therefore creating too much pressure on the ears. You might be able to manually wear them to loosen up, but I wouldn't necessarily suggest it). The headphones are mildly adjustable so you can play around with it for a min or so until its comfortable. Thus this mic really should get all the credit it deserves for being innovative and if you are looking for a mic that can easily fit into a laptop bag, has good voice canceling, and won't break easily I would highly recommend you give this mic a try.

I felt it was a little pricey but with all the extra little features I really love this item. The carrying case is perfect and the additional usb adapter is all sorts of useful, along with the adjustable microphone and ear pads (not to mention the mute mic button) it's the best headset I've used to date. The sound quality is great and the microphone doesn't pick up any background noise, but it picks up any sound near the mic crystal clear.

I bought this headset to replace my trusty Altec Lansing headset which finally stopped working after a couple of years of daily use and abuse. I have to say that the design of this headset is truly great. From the looks to the in-line control to the USB adapter. All the pieces seem to be carefully designed to maximize style and functionality. The behind-the-head design is favored by many people because it's extremely comfortable. The ear pads move in many directions to adjust to your personal needs. The microphone is chromed and moves up and down, out of the way. The in-line controls are extremely handy, and work well. The quality of sound was truly amazing for a headset of this kind, and the people I was speaking to said I sounded crystal clear. They could not hear any of the background noise (and even music) I had going on in the room. Now, despite the praises, I ended up returning this headset. I needed a headset I could use for 6 hours straight and still be comfortable. This isn't it. I'm aware that this is a "laptop" headset and thus is probably not meant for extended use sessions, which is why I'm rating it at four stars. It's very comfortable for a short period of time (couple of hours tops), after that... not so much. In conclusion, great headset. I couldn't have asked for a better one as far as design and quality goes. It's worth every penny. It just wasn't the most comfortable headset I've worn, and that, in the end, was my priority.

In my field of work, I do allot of online voice chats. This headset is hands down the best i have used. not only is it comfortable, but the sound and voice quality is superb. Another nice feature is the fact that it comes with a hard carrying case. I can put them away and throw them in my laptop bag with out worrying about them binding or breaking during my travels.

These are a great pair to throw into your laptop bag to use anywhere you may travel. The audio sounds great and if your talking to someone, they hear you and not your surroundings. The USB adapter is a nice addition for connections to your computer. The only downside was that your ears start to hurt if you wear them for longer than a couple of hours at a time....so not too good for long game or chat sessions. Still this is a must get.

I picked up this headset a few years back, around the beginning of 2006. From the beginning, the product was excellent. Not perfect, but definitely worth the price. I paid around 60usd for mine. The usb adapter is a great way to connect this headset up. This allows you to have game sound coming from your speakers, while voice coming through the headset. For a few years, never had a single complaint, until the usb adapter stopped working. It wasn't that big of a deal, really. Given the amount of use I had with it. Failure was to be expected at some point. The headset it self still worked fine, as it does to this day. The only problem I'm having now, is the ear phone covers are gone. They do wear out. You can pick up replacements almost anywhere that sells headphones. I'm considering buying another one.

I use this mic primarly for TS and Vent, i had to replace my old logitech with sumthing else. after some searching and buying i came across this. Other people can here me perfectly fine and i to them, depending on their mics. its very very light wieght, and goes around the back of your head its suprisingly comfortable but after about 4+ hours your ears will start to feel the pinch/burn. Great product i recommend this to anyone looking for sumthing cheap and not bulky. it comes with a usb adapter also just incase you don't want to use the analog mic and headset. both work like a dream, i use the usb so its easier to find in Vent and i can still play sound through my speakers.

Gamers who need usb adapter and voice chat avoid..

These headphones have great sound and have lasted me longer then any other pair I've owned. I've had them since march of 2007 and normally I got through a set or two a year. However there is a on going issue that is posted all over the Logitech boards of the mic not working if you need to use the supplied USB adpater. I'm a gamer and as long as I need to use the usb adapter that is supplied with this unit, I cannot use the mic for voice chat. In game, Ventrilo etc. The analog connections work flawlessly for this. But if your getting these to share between a desktop and a laptop, you may want to keep looking or just buy two (different) headsets.

    Great Sound Quality For Gaming

This headset is unbeatable for the price. It comes with a case to store it in on the go and it is easily colapsable to conserve space. The USB connector makes it easy to use. The sound quality is crystal clear, with the few exceptions of static but these times are very rare. The design is so lightweight that even after hours of gaming your ears are fine. The headset though isn't so lightweight you won't notice it but it is just enough that u may forget about it. This is a great universal headset that anyone should look into, be it for gaming, schooling, or bussiness. (This headset works with either notebook or desktop computers.)

I have have many headsets including 2 other logitech headsets and a few gaming headsets. But this one is by far the most comfortable. The earpieces are fully adjustable. You can slide them foward and back and also tilt them as need to fit your head. It loops around your head so it doesn't mess with your hair. There is a mic mute and volume control on the wire. I got the one with the nice case and usb soundcard which also works great. The headset folds nice and neatly so its great for traveling. I use it with my laptop and use it for internet phone calls and online gaming. All my calls have been crystal clear on both ends. A must have.

For years I have gone through a lot of headphones. Either they hurt my ears because they didn't mix with the earpieces of my glasses or the headphones would break in a short time frame from normal use. These are very durable, easy to plug in and go. Not only that, but I can now have them on for hours during the day to listen to music, or even during my online classes and not have to constantly take them off to adjust them. These were well worth getting and I am sorry I didn't hear about them sooner. Could have saved myself years of headaches and earaches.

This headset was well worth its money. Every time I used it, no matter what program, everyone said they could hear me loud and clear. I was also able to use it on my mp3 player very easily. It did start to hurt around my ears if I wore it too long, though. But then again, I used it for 5-6 hours a day with my job. The really bad thing about it was about a week ago, the part where the mic is attached to the headset popped off and no longer worked. I pushed through it until just recently. The left ear of the headset didn't bring in sound anymore. There was a short in the wire. I have to throw it out now. I still liked this product and think it's a pretty good buy.

USB plug is very convenient I have only owned then for 6 days... Couldnt be A happier Camper

. I am in charge of IT for a company and we have a IP phones. Many use their computer so finding a good headset was a must. . This pair I have had for about a year. I have abused them as far as tossing them around and they got a bit beat up (I mashed the left side and messed up that speaker so I only hear out of the right). But the sound quality was great and no echo at all through the mic. That seems to be the biggest issue with headsets and kills phone calls. . We have now standardized on this pair and continue to order them as we need new ones. I highly recommend to anyone using them as a phone. . Oh and I replaced my mashed one with a new one I just got today :) .

Great sound. great mic, terrible durability

I bought these headphones for $60 at my local best buy. I should of known better and want to kick myself now, but I needed them that night and best buy had terrible options compared to. I was previously using the g330 headphones again from Logitech and they only lasted a few months before the right ear was no longer producing any sound for no apparent reason and could not be fixed. So I bought these headphones and after 3 months or less they're already breaking. Where the wire connects to the bottom half of the mute box, the covering has pulled out and the wire is exposed, about to break if it gets moved too much. The wire is too thin, that design was terrible as the top of the covering was barely pushed under the cap, a really cheap design. I think these headphones would be fine for minimum use, but for someone like me that uses them everyday for 14-16 hours they just do not hold up. For $60 bucks though I would expect them to. Do not buy either of these if you use your headphones/mic as much as I do. While I'm writing this review on these I should mention how irritating the left side is. The mic wire connects here and the mic sits under it, forcing the ear piece to drop down and sit on my cheek and there is no way to stop it. the right side sits in place nicely. I have to put a hair clip holding the wire up to the frame or else they'd just sit on my cheek. It seems like there should be a way to stop this because you can adjust where it's suppose to sit but I guess the mic is just too heavy and keeps pulling it down because nothing I tried would make them stay in place apart from relieving the pull on the wire with a hair clip. This is my last Logitech product. Their stuff sound and works great, but they have some of the worst durability I've come across. I'll try to salvage these expensive headphones and hope I don't have to go buy some more, but if I do I won't even be considering Logitech.
