Great quality, but has its problems

It’s typical high Logitech quality, which also means it’s very heavy, twice the size of the OEM Apple folio and has a few design flaws. It provides good edge protection for the iPad, but not for itself. The keyboard itself extends well beyond the case leaving it exposed during a drop. The Apple Pencil 2 support is poor as the flap fits poorly over the pencil, with or without the pencil in its slide-in sleeve. The sleeve is actually a pair of slits in the flap that are difficult to open and slide the pencil through. The keyboard itself works great and the back lighting is good. This product has its pluses and minuses, but I decided to return it and stay with my Apple OEM keyboard folio. I might have gone with this instead if it was available upon iPad release and I hadn’t already purchased the Apple unit.

A Welcomed Accessory for iPad Pro Users!!!

Logitech has positioned themselves to the forefront again by designing a case that will enhance iPad Pro users’ productivity while providing superior protection against damage. As an iPad user this was a welcomed addition for me as I needed a keyboard that would optimize my user experiences. I normally employ both my laptop and iPad on a daily basis while in the classroom; however, this keyboard case has made it possible that I can convert my iPad into a laptop experience, which has been wonderful. The magnetic latch is very secure in so much that I can place it on my lap and the overall feel is steady and secure. The added bonus is that this keyboard is lighted which really helps because I write into the wee hours of the morning. I truly can’t think Logitech enough for making my life a lot easier. Needless to say, without reservation, I highly recommend this keyboard case!

    Best Keyboard/Case Option

Great keyboard. Good protection. So much better than the Apple keyboard folio which has not protection. Reasons to buy Logitech : Better keyboard than Apple including shortcuts, Much better protection; apple provides literally no protection. Cheaper but seems like more solid product. Reasons to buy Apple: Uses smart connector rather than bluetooth. Does not use batteries. Waterproof.

    Will make your ipad BULKY

I didn’t mind the bulky if i got the full keyboard and feel. HOWEVER it has failed at protecting the glass!!!! I have not dropped it on hard surfaces, just kept in my backpack and there were times i dropped my bag hard on the ground and just that alone cracked the glass! It great for a real keyboard feel Cons bulky and doesn’t do a good job at protecting it from damages. For the price it only get 3 starts for the good keyboard. Also the keyboard needs some getting use to, it’s still way smaller then a regular keyboard so keep that in mind.. I am only here because I am mildly angry it didn’t protect it from damages (keep in mind I tried my very best to keep my ipad from damages)

I'm normally a pretty strong advocate for Logitech products. However, this one disappointed me. While it connects via bluetooth very well and types okay, it misses the mark in many ways for me. 1.) It's bulky and heavy. More so than competitors. 2.) The keys are (this will sound weird) too smooth. I can't really say why this bothers me, but it does. It's like touching a finely oiled surface, there's no tactile "feel" while using the keys. 3.) It doesn't close securely. No magnets to hold it closed except for the flap and that doesn't hold it tightly closed. 4.) The flap, well..., it flaps. You have to be very sure to magnet it to the back or else it will flip up and in front of your screen. 5.) The pencil won't/can't charge while in the security sleeve in the flap. 6.) The iPad can't be removed from the keyboard without completely removing it from the case. No way to easily use it to read a book without the keyboard dangling off the back. 6.) Did I mention it's bulky? In short, if you don't plan to carry your iPad around a lot and never need to separate it from the keyboard, maybe you'll like it. But isn't that the point of the iPad? It connects well and is responsive. I love the function key row that is absurdly missing from the Apple keyboard. But that's not enough to make me want to swap.

This case is not only heavy and a keyboard but it's actually sleek and pretty in design as well. This is the reason why I asked do Logitech make it because they make the best stuff, any attachments I need make it Logitech.

    Worth the money!!

I got my iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd Generation) in September for my second year in University. I had been using my on screen keyboard for a really long time, and just figured I could get away with using it. After getting this keyboard I am much happier with a physical keyboard than the onscreen one. I had too many typos for important things, such as online course discussion posts and assignments. I was bouncing between this one and the Apple Smart Keyboard, but ultimately went with this one because I like the style of the keyboard much more. It’s very similar to that of a “standard” keyboard. The Apple Keyboard had very thin keys and I didn’t like the way they clicked. I prefer a more mechanical feel. This one is also at least $60 cheaper. I briefly tried a BRYDGE keyboard and didn’t like how non-secure it felt. The BRYDGE one I had tried had the iPad slide into two corner holsters and had a magnetic back piece, whereas the Apple keyboard allowed for the iPad to magnetically be attached. This one allows for the iPad to physically be attached within something, which added to the secure feel. Although heavier than both, when comparing my iPad to my old 2015 MacBook Pro, it is much lighter and feels way better on my back. The only down sides I have so far, are that the lights within the keyboard turn off after a few seconds and I don’t know how to change this. I also can’t find the literal battery charge of the keyboard, as it does not show up within the widgets. There’s a little light that will glow red when it needs to be recharged, but it doesn’t give an exact percentage. It also feels a little floppy when I’m typing on my lap, unlike when I’m using my MB, but that was to be expected. This keyboard gives me the most “laptop” feel as possible, without sacrificing too much weight. I would highly recommend this keyboard, especially if you are unsure of which one to get.

    Excellent Keyboard+Bulky Case=Good Solution

Although this keyboard is noticeably bulkier than the Apple Keyboard, I am still very happy with it and would have to give the win to Logitech over Apple. The key advantages being the backlit keys that are well-spaced and have a good feel to them, like a real keyboard. Of course, Logitech would get it right, this is their expertise, after all. Now if only Apple could somehow intersect it's lightweight form factor, with the key benefits of the Slim Folio... we'd have the perfect accessory!
