I wanted to test out this clicker for work because there are many presentations that go on. Therefore, I bought this device, not even for myself! I bought it for others to use! They really enjoy using it. With its sleek design and simple button layout, presenters are no longer looking down to make sure they are pressing the correct button. I like the button click feature that can but used as a mouse on my laptop. The highlight feature focuses in on areas better than a regular laser. It also has a laser as well. Sometimes presenters are out of position to point on a screen; Now with the Spotlight, a presenter can stand anywhere and point to any all screens (if there are multiple screens present). And just for kicks, I tried it on my Samsung phone.... AND IT WORKED TOO! Logitech has not failed me yet with their products.

Do you remember the Airmouse concept of the mid 2000's? That sort of Died? That's this thing. Only this works! The construction is impeccable, it feels perfectly weighty and slim in your hand, smooth, but not so slippery that you're going to fling it. I was able to charge it, power it up, and get it connected without ever opening the manual. The included bluetooth dongle fits perfectly in the base and has a nice fabric tug handle to remove it. This same void is also where you plug it in to charge it. As a presentation remote the Spotlight works very simple The one large button advances your slides, the upper button activates your cursor/spotlight/in powerpoint laser pointer, and the bottom button is usually back. It's important to note that all of these buttons have configurable behavior in the Logitech software that accompanies the presenter. This is a VERY nice feature that many others have been missing out on for a long time. The package includes a nice pouch for the presenter, with the bluetooth dongle docked, and a charging cable. I was a little disappointed at this level that the charging cable didn't fit in the pouch so it can all get tossed around in my bag together, but I'll definitely survive. It also took a little bit of jockeying to get the charger cable plugged into the port because it's recessed so far, and they made the plug on the cable long enough, however it's narrower than the opening itself. So far battery life seems to be as advertised, which means I won't need to charge it that often, and then maybe having a charging cable with me all the time won't be a necessity. Overall I love it, and would recommend to anyone who gives presentations in a professional setting.

I use this with my mac, pc and ipad. While its not cheap having Bluetooth and usb is awesome. The features are great and so is the range and battery life. If you so allot of presentations just buy it!

This will definitely boost your coolness factor! Being able to zoom in on a bullet point or start up a video or click a link without touching your laptop is awesome. The presentation I threw together for a few friends went over very well and at the end they were all asking how I was able to start the videos without touching my laptop. I showed them my secret, the logi spotlight remote!! This device is petty sleek. I have the slate color and I love the way it looks. The (mostly) all metal design feels very premium in your hand and the minimalist design is easy to master. There are only three buttons and the forward button is the biggest one and is the focus of most of the features. There is a plastic area on the back of the remote that is probably there to help with grip (if your hand happens to get sweaty during presentations) and possibly with allowing the long bluetooth range of 100 feet. I wasn't able to test the limits of that distance, I was only able to get about 45 feet away and further than that, I was on the other side of a wall so I can't speak to the 100 foot distance, however, at 45 feet, I had no connection issues. The battery life will have to be taken for their word for now though. They say it will last months and I tend to believe that claim, but time will tell. USB type C is used to charge the device and they included a USB type A to Type C connector which is nice. If you don't have a bluetooth receiver in your laptop, a USB Type A transmitter is included, which is what I used. In order for this to work, you have to install their spotlight software, which I had some issues installing. It would keep stopping at the 91% mark. After a reboot when it did it again, I disabled my AVG anti-virus scanner and it completed. It thought that the spotlight.exe file was a trojan, so just be aware of that.

Tested this out and was pleasantly surprised by how well it works. It takes a little getting used to it but once you get a hang of it you wonder what you ever did before using it when doing presentations. I thought I would be annoyed having something in my hand the whole time but it is extremely light and compact so it feels comfortable in your hand.

This presenter is easy to install and use, though there is a bit of a knack to using all the features. When understood, these features are simple but effective: focused zoom, pointer, and presentation navigation. I use it for all sorts of events and teachings.

I saw someone else doing a presentation with this using the "spotlight" feature. I figured this would be a nice upgrade from the normal red-laser clicker I had been using for years. This did not disappoint. From the RAPID charging (as in less than 2 minutes) to the ability to use it both via bluetooth or the supplied dongle (for added range), I have been pleased with the overall construction and performance of this device. IF they would add a green laser to the device for times when we are not projecting from a computer, that would make it AWESOME.

I've always loved Logitech's products. I've used their keyboards, mice, remotes, etc. for years. They always seem to have a nice mix of quality and price. That being said, this is a bit pricey for what it is. But, it performs beautifully and does it well. Setup was a breeze. Just download the software and it will walk you through the entire setup. After the setup it gives you a brief tutorial that shows you exactly how to use the remote. The big forward and back buttons are self explanatory but the feature that I love is the select and hold button on top. It will actually highlight (like a flashlight) the section you point out. This is a very handy feature for presentations and looks much more professional and modern than a laser pointer in my opinion. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and despite the price I'm still going to give it a full five stars. The setup, usefulness, and design is top notch and I think anyone would enjoy using it in a presentation.

I've been using it as part of my class, I really like the feel of it in my hand, its simplicity and the integration it has with the computer. One thing I would say is that I don't think it's great outside of personal use (or at the minimum just one computer), since the laser/spotlight/zoom option is behind the Logitech option apps. Bit on the pricier side too.

Nothing comparable. It may seem unusual to rave about a PowerPoint remote but this one is great, a game-changer. I do 40 or more programs per year and this is the only product that the audience asks about. You can zoom in, put a laser pointer, or highlight an area. And unlike any other similar product, if you are doing the program on one computer, your highlights, etc., display on all others.

This little presentation remote has some really great features. Setup is incredibly easy, and the software is very easy to use. It's charge time is ridiculously fast. You can even customize the buttons for additional control. I set the "back" button to the spacebar. That way it could be used to play and pause videos. It's highlighting feature is very useful, and it's controlled by an accelerometer, so you can point with the flick of the wrist. Pros: Incredibly fast charging, battery life, software, highlighting feature with accelerometer, super simple to use Cons: can't really find a fault with this remote. Maybe a bit pricey, but considering the features, it's well worth it.

I teach a lot of new employees at my work and this this is the best presentation pointer ever. Like many companies, my employer uses large flat screen tvs instead of the older projection systems of the past. I bring that up because the traditional laser pointer doesn't work very well on tvs. As a great alternative, this pointer has a function that highlights the area you want to point out, and darkens the rest of the screen. Pretty great and the battery lasts a really long time without charging.

I took this to a court room presentation and it worked great. While getting to know it, I think I showed everyone in the family how much fun the spotlight function was. Being able to program the buttons was nice, and easy. I synced it up to my Mac and put the optional dongle in my PC as a back up. Both worked as expected. Amazing charge time and battery life.

One if the best pointer you will get, you need to practice with your presentation if you want the wow effect in your audience, but its so good

This little device is a must have for presentations. The Logitech Spotlight is feature rich and easy to use. One of the best features is the quick charge ability. The battery can be charged for 1 minute and last for 3 hours! Great for a spontaneous meeting presentations. It also has incredible range. I can leave my laptop on a conference room table and engage the audience from the screen while being able to control the presentation as though I were sitting right in front of it. I also love the highlighting and magnification feature. It's great for emphasizing key information in the presentation. I keep the Spotlight with me all the time. As a consultant that gives presentations regularly, it is a fantastic tool.

Was introduced to this at a conference and I was blown away. This thing does everything I need it to do for me while teaching. The ability to highlight and use a pointer on an LED tv is top notch. Worth every penny spent!!

I love this clicker, but I haven't taken the time to make sure I'm always using it right. It makes it much easier for me as a college professor. The spotlight thing isn't always useable with my overhead projectors as I'm going from room to room and this thing won't seem to be calibrated how I want it all the time.

I speak at conferences but I'm not super tech-savvy. I needed a remote that was simple enough to use confidently, and yet had features that I could utilize when my presentations become more advanced—for example, using the spotlight. I like how quickly it charges, Highly recommend!

I do quite a few presentations as a consultant and I love this remote. The remote installs easily on your laptop or tablet PC and works well with PowerPoint. I like the spotlight feature that allows you to choose a circle size to highlight text on your slide like a pointer. I do miss the laser on most pointers but have grown to appreciate this remote sans laser.

We love it! We teach in different setting and cities, with powerpoint and keynote, this remote control is awesome. Easy to set up, professional, sleek look, easy to carry or store. Buy it, you won't regret it.
