Posted .Hi Tubs, Very sorry to hear about the disappointment you had with the sound quality for the Z130 2.0 Speaker System. From what you're describing about the sound you're experiencing, it sounds like you have a bad connection. Be sure that the 3.5mm input jack is fully placed in the headphone jack of your computer. If you're placing it into a desktop, the headphone jack has the "headphone" symbol or has a green outline. If you're placing it into a laptop, sometimes both the microphone jack and headphone jack are placed together. Also, keep in mind that the frequency response for the Z130 is 140 Hz - 18 kHz and the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) is 80 dBr with a Sound Pressure Level of SPL 84 dBA. Which basically means that they don't have the best low frequency response which isn't surprising with just 5 Watts of Total Power. Not working out of the box.

Checked the reviews before buying and several reports of the item being bad out of the box. Well they were tru only one of the two speakers works and the volume control doesn't work. Will be returning the item to Best Buy

Not loud enough

Great speakers for the price

I needed small speakers because space was at a premium. These were the ones recommended by the Best Buy sales person and they didn't disappoint. The sound is great, much, much, better than the very poor speakers on my monitor and more than adequate for my needs. Plenty of volume, I also like the front mounted on/off/ volume control and audio/headphone jack. If you are just looking for a good set of stereo speakers for your monitor, TV, or laptop at a very good price I think that you will be pleased with the Logitech Z130 speakers.

She just got them and on the second day they stopped working. No power. Apparently its a known issue but I cant return them anymore.
