Quite frankly, there isn't much output to the entire Logitech brand. This pair particularly lacks just that. I had to turn them all the way up just to hear a YouTube video. Maybe for a kid these will suffice, but if you're hard up for good sound like I am, pass on these.

I would recommend this to a friend40 volt AC at Tip of Audio Plug

There are 40 volts AC between the plug's tip and the grounded computer case. The speakers produce a 60-cycle hum when the tip is touched to case. Maybe it's not dangerous, since the connection is obviously high impedance, but it is unnerving. Since the Insignia and Logitech speakers show the same effect, it might be that the speakers are made with the same electronics from the same manufacturer.
