    Great Speakers

I purchased these speakers after comparing to the Creative T4 Wireless and the Bose QC5. These are basic but pouch out a great sound. Bass is loud and sound is very clear. You can plug a headset in the front unit. The only CON I could say is that the speakers are a little bit large but not really a problem when on a desk.

Great sounding 2.1 computer speakers for only $99 dollars and they are THX certified. Really loud 200 watts RMS, use them with PS3 to watch blu-ray movies. Loud even at low volume, nice clean bass. Headphone connection. Aux 3.5 mm connection. RCA connection. Volume and bass controll

There's a massive gap in products between the $40-$150 price range. There are many low-end speakers that can make noise, but often sound awful. Then there's the Sonos/Klipsch/Boston Acoustics/Bose speakers for hundreds and thousands of dollars. But to find quality speakers that don't cost a mortgage and a car payment; that's very difficult. These speakers fill that gap very well. While there isn't much competition in this range, these are excellent. I'm no audiophile, and I'm certain there's better, but not at this price point. Get these speakers and you will be happy!

I will start by saying I've always been someone who believes STRONGLY in you get what you pay for. When these went on sale, I figured I would invest in upgrading my desktop gaming sound system. Now that I own them, I would GLADLY pay full price. I'm a total bass-head (have had two 500W 12" subwoofers in my car since the month I bought it) and this system satisfies me for bass. The audio is clean and crisp, to a point. When the volume gets very high, it starts to get fuzzy, but it's VERY high. For $120-150, you will NOT get better sound. Tunes are great, movies are full-sounding, bass knob makes it VERY easy to adjust for an over-bassy mastering of your favorite album. The only downside is that the peripheral speakers are kinda large, take up a lot of desk space and have no way to be mounted. BUY IT.

My old Z323s still worked perfectly fine after nearly a decade of regular use, but while upgrading my PC setup I decided to retire them and get the Z623. I'm blown away by how good these sound. The satellite speakers are clear and crisp, the subwoofer is extremely powerful but not overbearing if you have everything dialed in right. No matter how high you crank them they don't distort or lose clarity. Even at lower volumes your music/games/movies will sound full and clear. Really, really happy with these speakers. If you're comparing different models, know that the only difference between these and the Z625 is that the Z625 has an optical port. If you don't have a need for the optical port, save $30 and get the Z623.

    Great Speakers, Great Price

I was all ready to spend up to five hundred dollars to buy Bose or Cambridge Works. I studied all the online reviews. A lot of people who seemed serious recommended the Logitech Z-2300 as being just as good. So I decided to buy that one since it is so much cheaper, but it seemed to be discontinued, and Amazon said that the Logitech Z623 is its “successor”. One of my requirements is the low end frequencies. I like pipe organ music, and the pipe organ plays down to the bottom of human hearing. An eight foot C is about 69 Hz, so the sixteen foot is 34 Hz and the 32 foot is 17 Hz. Logitech advertises that the Z263 goes down to 31 Hz, the Cambridge is similar, and Bose does not release the information. So I bought the Z623 on sale from Best Buy and hooked it up. There is a lot of talk in reviews about different ranges of hearing, and others talk about personal taste, but I use the “closed eyes” test. I listen to classical music, not artificial music, and I close my eyes and ask myself if it sounds as though an instrument is in the room with me. Does it sound as though there is a piano there, or a string quartet, or a pipe organ in the room with me? I started with Bach’s Passacaglia in C minor. It sounded to me as if I were in a recital hall with a pipe organ. I tried Sibelius Fifth Symphony, Rachmaninoff piano music, Brahms piano music, and various Mozart chamber music. I tried Mars by Holst, and piano concerti by Brahms and Rachmaninoff. I also tried vocal music by Palestrina and Josquin. When I close my eyes, I am unable to tell that I am listening to an IMac computer and speakers instead of live musicians. Some orchestral music sounds thin, but other recordings sound perfect, so I believe it is the recording that is at fault (or the compressed version on my computer) instead of the speakers. I haven’t done a blind test, but from what I perceive, I don’t think I could tell the difference between piano music on these speakers and the seven foot grand piano in my living room. Each time I listened to a piece, when I opened my eyes, I was surprised to see a desk, a computer, and some speakers.

    Solid Speakers

I'm coming from some Logitech X-230 speakers, which I was always very happy with, but so far, this system is even better. I have them on my desk and am listening in the near-field. From what I'm hearing so far, I like them a lot. The sound is nice and balanced—not too bright or not too dull. Bass is excellent, and I only have the knob set to the middle. One thing to be careful about: make sure you get your audio settings right on your PC. Mine was originally set to stereo, and I was getting extremely weak bass. I reconfigured the sound output to 5.1, and de-selected center and side speakers. That did the trick, and now these babies are singing. At this price point, I can't really ask for more. This 2.1 system sounds wonderful, and gets plenty loud, if need be.

    Excellent Speakers (From An Audiophile)

I used to build hi performance car stereo systems when I was in my 20's, now I'm 47. Tri-Amp systems with 3rd octive EQ's, active cross-overs, subs, the works. I compared this Logitech Z623 to speakers more than twice as expensive and the user reviews for this set was just as good and had 10 times more people reviewing them so I purchased these for $100 versus $200-$400 for others. Out of the box they sounded not so good (as every speaker system does without EQ'ing#. Make sure you have a nice sound card #cheap one# so you can tweak the sound with an EQ as you would with any good stereo system to match your room. They now sound awesome. A symple sound card with an EQ and balance controls is all you need. Creative has some downloads on their website I updated my sound card with for nothing. Don't miss these speaker for the price. You don't need anymore power for sitting in front of your PC. It fills the room and thumps the floor. Vocals are great, Highs are great, and the sub performs as any sub I have ever seen. Wow...Logitech you know your speakers.

Needed something to pair with my computer build and this is perfect! Using dolby atmos on my pc with these it has amazing clarity! The bass is very responsive and has great resonation even at low volume i walked all throughout the house and could hear it. To give them a kick i actually have them connected to my blue yeti microphone with dolby atmos activated through the microphone. The bullet tweeters add nice clarity. Overall for the point these are 110% worth it. I would buy these before i would get a soundbar.

Incredible Bass For Size And Boomy

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The bass on the subwoofer is incredible, very clean, boomtown, and hits the lows well. The satellites are great for the price but overall they're okay to decent. If you want to buy the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 then I advise you not to if you're of course a basshead. The Klipsch is at most half as much more than the Logitech and still has much less bass. Obviously the satellites of the Klipsch are much better, mainly with the kids because it has a tweeter with them as well and it balances out the midrange. I love this speaker system and I really hope it lasts me a while.

I got these for a little bit of nothing. Im a libra so I'm very picky, but these thing are amazing super clear like HD or 4k clear with super bass.... so bassy if that's a word.. I dont need to turn them up it shakes everything around me. deep bass and you still hear every word and sound in a song. Its surround sound when watching a movie multiple times I was not sure if sound was from the horror movie or actually real sound around me I had to check my door 4 time, thought dogs was barking and thought i heard cop cars that how real the sound is. It make songs I've heard 100's of times sound new and different. Worth every dime if not more.

    Awesome speakers for the money

Got the speakers for 99.99 when they were on sale. The bass is of-course the highlight of this product, which is pretty awesome, not as good as z5500, but still great considering its size. The mids and highs are also decent. Overall a nice system for those who live in apartments and condos, where size is an issue.

Got these about three years ago, back when I was on a limited budget and didnt have the money for a high end system. To say these speakers have served me well is a colossal, colossal understatement. I am beyond amazed with the sound quality on these, and the price is amazing. Only 150 watts of bass? Enough to shake the entire place and be heard from an acre away. Will definitely keep these after upgrading to more pro audio equipment for my birthday. As a music producer, if you dont have money for high end equipment, Id say these are beyond a great bargain

When I first hooked up this sound system to my computer (simple setup) I was expecting to be pleased, but when I heard the bass I was blown away. I am so happy to have these speakers at the sale price (I would be just as happy to pay the non-sale price for the sound) to finish of my new computer setup. I think these may sound better than my new(ish) ($400) panny viera sound-bar for my VT60. My friend heard these speakers and immediately took advantage of the sale price and bought a set for his computer. I cant see how you would be disappointed and this is from a guy who doesn't write too many reviews.
