After moving my Logitech Z3's to my office, I was without a pair of speakers for my Mac at home. I was using the speakers for monitoring music production (in the rare event I didn't use headphones), playing my Line6 guitar through, and casual music listening.
I finally decided to get a second set of speakers for home and after listening to other speakers in store (Kilps), I was less than impressed. Speakers in the same price bracket were lacking clarity and dynamics. Seeing these on shelf (but not displayed for testing), I looked them up on my phone to read a few reviews and knowing my satisfaction with the Z3's for about the same price, I was willing to jump before hearing them; glad I did.
Though I'm not so pleased with the speaker shapes (kinda ugly), I was blown away with the sound. Dynamic range, high clarity, and the adjustability of the sub level really make this package an amazing bang for the buck. Though not audiophile level (IMHO) these speakers can do varying genres of music a lot of justice. As a musician with eclectic taste I definitely ran the gamut on this set: metal (djent/metalcore/Gothenburg/etc), electronic (4 to the floor, trance, dubstep, chill), jazz (standard and smooth), and pop rock/r&b/country.
The sub can be pretty overpowering depending on the genre, but the bass level control really lets you dial in a good mix. These things are also super loud - I haven't worked them to over 40% volume at 30% bass. One day I'll rattle my upstairs neighbors >:-)
In short: if this is what you consider to be a reasonable price range then definitely give them a listen (or pull the trigger like I did). You'll get good quality speakers that can give you some massive knock and some great projection through a room.

Broke after two days of usage. They sounded great but I guess I just got a bad one. Best Buy did right by me and gave me a full refund.

Right speaker stopped working soon after setup

Sadly, the right speaker stopped functioning shortly after I connected this system to my PC. This speaker has the volume controls and power switch. Those controls still work, but no sound from that speaker.
I've tried using each of the three different methods of input, and connecting different devices. Same result. Pretty disappointed.
Sorry about the experience! Make sure that the unit has power. If the speaker system doesn't appear to have power, try plugging it into another AC outlet and make sure that all of the connectors are seated securely, and that the cables are in good condition. Try using a different cable to eliminate the current cable as the issue.

I started having issues with this set of speakers about 1 1/2 years into having them. Thought it would go away that is why I didnt use my warranty on them for exchange. Then in 2020 a month after my warranty expired, I called BB and was told sorry nothing we can do warranty up. ISSUE is, static big time with the sound knob for turning volume up or down. Horrible. I tried static remover spray after working hours to take them apart as the video shows. WILL NOT purchase this set again!!

Don’t buy this junk, subwoofer is over powering for the speakers it comes with. The woofer rattles and buzzes for no reason even at 15% volume , terrible sound as well. I returned my Logitech z407s and paid the price difference thinking I would get a better product, but boy was I wrong. This is totally off topic but i personally think the overall design looks out dated , looks like something you would have back in 2009.
Hi azul, sorry to see you're unsatisfied with the audio quality of the Z623 Speaker System. You may be able to adjust the bass of the subwoofer through the computer settings.

POOR quality control on Logitech's part! The left side speaker connector at the sub was loose causing an audible short. I am thankful the defect presented itself immediately upon setup rather than after Best Buy's return window closed. I bought them based of all the positive reviews. These are going back right after Christmas.

Just average for the time I had it. Started to shorting out. So I threw it away. Should have saved up and got studio speakers.

I didn't try the speakers for 30 days. When I did the sub woofer gave no sound. My $30 speakers have more bass response that these did. I took them back to Best Buy who said that I waited too long to return them and said my only recourse was with the manufacturer.
Logitech hasn't answered a phone call but when I left a voice message I did receive an incident number. Two weeks later that's still been my only response.

I got z623 speakers about a year and half ago. I was looking for a set that had a good punch, great sound quality, and something that wouldn't take that much space. These speakers were perfect for me.
Let me just say, these speakers easily pack a punch! I've never had the volume past 35% because it was loud by that time. Even at very loud volumes, the sound is still at an extremely good quality, no crackling or other issues. When it comes to the bass, these speakers can handle it. Not even halfway on the bass dial, and my room is shaking. I generally use these speakers for music, but they are just as amazing with movies and games.
These speakers prove that I will continue to be a Logitech Customer.

Speakers have a very loud high pitch sound as soon as I turn it on. It isn't hooked up to anything, but speakers to the subwoofer. There are hundreds of online users complaining of the same issue dating as back as 4 yrs ago. Looks like Logitech hasn't fixed whatever issue it is. Returning it!!

Great speaker system!

I got these speakers about 2 years ago for $100 on sale. They are absolutely fantastic - I am actually listening to them right now. The right speaker has a power on/off switch (which is hard to find on other systems), a volume control, and a bass control. I typically have my computer set to 50% volume and will adjust the speakers accordingly. Even at 50% on both systems, my room shakes due to the bass. I typically don't raise it higher than that combination. It hits the highs, mids, and lows very well and I completely understand why these are THX certified.
Hello, I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the speakers. They do come with a year warranty with Logitech if that ever happens again. Excellent Audio System

The Logitech z623 sound is amazing, I listen to mostly Trance and Electronica in general, but I can tell you everything sounds fantastic on it, I also own the z2300 which I have hooked up to my Samsung 3D TV and I can tell you that it falls slightly behind it in terms of bass, but just a little, and I would say the satellite speakers sound better than those in the z2300, I certainly do not regret buying it at all.
And to the people saying the cables are short, people it's SOOOO easy to go buy one audio extension cable, they are less than $5 in any electronics store, you just need to buy the cable and an extender plug and that's it, cable length is an issue for me with my z2300 because of the way I have it set up with my TV and I just got one extension cables from Bestbuy.
