I just bought two sets of these on sale from BB, and I am really impressed with the sound this set puts out. Music and movies sound excellent, and I think I would be hard pressed to find an equal or better sounding set for anywhere near the price. The subwoofer really puts out nice deep bass. I am thoroughly pleased.

Very very good sound and very clear also, bass is really good, i couldnt ask for anything more for the price, would recommend to every single person ever if they need an affordable high quality sound system. Cables were no problem for me, they reached just fine, directions are clear and simple.
Thank you so much for your fantastic review of the Logitech Z623 2.1 Speaker System! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you're enjoying such "very very good sound" and "very clear" audio. It's especially rewarding to know that the bass is hitting all the right notes for you.

Everything about this product is amazing. Out of box and connected to the desktop sounds amazing. With the 130watt Sub the bass is deep and it really does pound when playing games and watching movies.
When wanting to listen to music I had to adjust the sound card to accommodate for lack of an equalizer but again it's a 2.1 set-up. But soon after finishing the tuning the sound got it's full potential and it sounds amazing!

I bought these because my Klipsch ProMedias developed a white noise in one of the sats after only two months. I needed something to use while I mail them in to be fixed at the very least.
These really sound better than I expected. Sound is a little thick at the frequencies covered best by the single drivers in the desktop speakers. Then, frequency respose drops off a bit in the lower mids and extreme highs. This results in a slightly colored sound, but not bad by any means. IMO, they sound a bit richer than the Klipsch at lower volumes, Those aren't perfect either and can sound a tad thin at times. Although, the soundstage tends to be a bit deeper than with the Logitech and the Klipsch can go a smidge louder.
I'm very satisfied with these, even after owning the Klipsch. I have serious doubts about the quality of the Klipsch. The first set I brought home was defective and the second set lasted only 2-months and saw no abuse. If these last longer, I'd have to say they're the better choice. We'll see... Oh... I do have to say these desktop speakers are pretty ugly. But, It's the sound that matters most I guess...

By far the best Logitech speakers ever easy set up. What's really good about these kind of Logitech speakers they have adjustable bass while newer models don't provide with bass knob adjuster.

I purchased both the 623s and the Promedia 2.1s this week. Both are good 2.1 speaker systems--the 623s are better. While both offer very good all-around sound for 2.1 units, the 623s offer noticeably better bass: stronger ,clearer, deeper. That makes sense, as the 623's amplifier produces about twice the power: 200 watts peak for the Promedias, 200 watts RMS (continuious) for the 623s.
I now own both. I'm keeping both, but the 623s offer superior sound. With Bestbuy's price matching of Amazon, you can currently get them for $99, and they're well worth that.

Who knew? I would compare sound clarity and quality to Bose, as well as 400 watts per channel with the volume knob twisted right to the stops and torn off! What distortion? I think Bose has higher prices but as far as PC speaker options, I doubt it.

I had purchased a pair for my girlfriend about six months ago when they were on sale for $99. After the easy installation and fine tuning the equalizer my ears were in shock! Amazing highs and full, rich bass! I just could not believe the power and clarity of these speakers... and that's coming from someone who is super picky about audio equipment!
I was so impressed that I just picked up two more pairs a couple days ago as they were on sale for $89 (A set for me and one for my mom's birthday next month)!
Definitely worth the $149 price tag and an even sweeter deal if you can find them on sale again! You definitely will not be disappointed!

This speaker system is something else. I used it for listen to music when I play video games. The reason I choose this speaker is cuz of the price and reviews. The quality of the sub and speakers is for sure worth more than 99$. It shakes the floor and walls and you feel it in ur chest.

For the price these are unbeatable. I have a larger set by a different manufacturer on my main PC and these give them a run for thier money at less than half the price. I have them attached to my Surface tablet using Windows Media Player. Fantastic. Again, for the price, they are amazing.

The Logitech z623 are overall a good set of speakers that fit best with most types of music with classical and ambient music being the exceptions (if you prefer these types of music I would recommend the Klipsch pro media 2.1s). The sound quality would not satisfy an audiophile, but everything comes through clear if a bit weak in the low/mid range. The biggest detractor to these speakers is that the fantastic 7" sub means these speakers are not good for an environment where you do not want to annoy your neighbors/roommates.

I purchased the Logitech Z623, I read a prior review which is incorrect. this system RMS is 200 watts which is, Root Means-Square quadratic mean- a statistical measure of the magnitude of varying quantity.
continuous- time waveform is the square root of the arithematic mean.
( average) of the square. RMS is average range of system, the peak power Logitech Z623 is 330 watts RMS Average power is 200 watts.
this system has serious kick I am completely satisfied

I am extremely impressed by these speakers. The sound quality is amazing and the bass can be felt through my entire house. I am so satisfied I can't stand it! I returned Bose speakers before I got these. Just sayin'...

After shopping around & spending MONEY & returning weak dissspointing systems labeled for Home Theater, this MY 3rd & cheapest attempt gave me the LOUD clarity & rich deep thunderous room shaking Bass I was looking for, IMPRESSED at the store demo, but EVEN MORE SO when HOOKED TO MY TV

I am COMPLETELY satisfied with my purchase however please consider the specs given online do not match what is on the box. Online listed as 200W Speaker Power, Sub.130W (330W). The Satellites are ACTUALLY rated 35W per for a total of 70W. Therefore TOTAL SYSTEM POWER is really 200W, NOT 330W. If you need a great set of speakers, buy them. BB just needs to go back to math class. ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the price, it's better than what I expected. The main thing I look for in speakers is a nice crisp bass, that's exactly what these give off. Great sound quality, better than my parents living room speakers lol

needed a new pair of speakers for the computer, found these, and included the sub. ah ha. sounds really nice just enough uuumph. I'll tell you though mama wasn' t quite sure at first. now she loves it. she even uses the sub as sort of a foot stool. for the price you can't go wrong. would purchase again.
